[00:00:00] We're just here vibing. Splash the image vibing UK vibing. This is weird. I've never done an
[00:00:09] IRL stream. Hannah said I'm live. Is it am I actually live on Twitch? Hello. This is weird.
[00:00:19] Let me see it. Oh, wait, this background looks sick.
[00:00:24] Yeah, the background is really good.
[00:00:26] Wait.
[00:00:28] I want this in my room.
[00:00:34] Let some people join first.
[00:00:36] It's in my title, but you're right.
[00:00:38] Twitch Shatters can't read titles.
[00:00:40] So for any of the early birds that have arrived here,
[00:00:41] it might be a little noisy.
[00:00:43] But we got an IRL backpack.
[00:00:44] We're doing a little IRL thing for fun,
[00:00:45] where it's flash damage.
[00:00:47] In the UK, currently in their gaming center,
[00:00:53] I guess is what it would be called.
[00:00:55] I really want this set up in my room or house or something,
[00:01:00] a LAN party.
[00:01:01] But yeah, we're just going to let some people join.
[00:01:03] We're just going to vibe out.
[00:01:04] We're going to chat.
[00:01:05] We're going to walk around the UK a little bit.
[00:01:08] Maybe go into London today.
[00:01:10] Potentially.
[00:01:11] We'll see.
[00:01:11] No promises on that one.
[00:01:12] I don't know.
[00:01:13] Maybe.
[00:01:13] Maybe.
[00:01:14] But for now, it's just me, Chris is here.
[00:01:17] We have some people from Splash that we might bring up.
[00:01:19] Just kind of talk to them if they're up to it.
[00:01:22] And yeah, pray we don't leak anything.
[00:01:24] pretty much
[00:01:26] no leakage let me let me take a peek at
[00:01:28] take a peek at chat really quick
[00:01:31] i wonder how how this microphone does with like that audio because there's
[00:01:35] right now people
[00:01:35] they're gaming smash bros right now
[00:01:38] yeah you
[00:01:38] yeah you can look from i mean yeah you can look close to but yeah people are
[00:01:41] gaming smash right now
[00:01:46] you can see smash yeah
[00:01:50] yeah there's a
[00:01:52] some devs just gaming some smash bros right now is what's happening
[00:01:56] um...
[00:01:58] This is weird being live.
[00:01:59] IRL is weird.
[00:02:03] But yeah, we're only live for two minutes right now,
[00:02:05] so I'm just gonna kinda let it simmer a little bit.
[00:02:08] Let it simmer.
[00:02:10] Look at this.
[00:02:10] Look at this shuffleboard.
[00:02:14] We got a little shuffleboard set up.
[00:02:18] I'm so bad at this, but yeah.
[00:02:19] I don't actually know how you play shuffleboard,
[00:02:22] if I'm being honest.
[00:02:24] You're in spots, you're in spots.
[00:02:29] Okay, so are you gonna be black or red?
[00:02:31] I'll be black.
[00:02:32] OK.
[00:02:34] Oh, it's like curling.
[00:02:35] Yeah, but smaller.
[00:02:37] Oh, wait, but we all play from the same side.
[00:02:39] No.
[00:02:40] Yeah, no.
[00:02:41] I'm pretty sure you play from the same side, right?
[00:02:43] Chris, like, yeah, you start on the same side
[00:02:46] and you push.
[00:02:49] No, no, no.
[00:02:50] No, I'm pretty sure you start on the side and then one.
[00:02:55] He doesn't have a mic, but I could mic.
[00:02:56] You want a mic?
[00:02:58] Does somebody want a mic?
[00:02:59] Does somebody want to be mic'd up with me?
[00:03:01] We do our friends.
[00:03:02] We do our friends.
[00:03:03] Here. So now this mic should be live. You can grab it. You can talk to it. Or you could do what I did.
[00:03:10] We could do a little test run, make sure chat can actually hear it. Let's take a peek.
[00:03:15] Oh, chat knows how to play shovel board?
[00:03:20] Okay, my...
[00:03:22] It's like curling.
[00:03:27] Hello, hello, hello.
[00:03:32] Sorry
[00:03:34] I'll go first. Yeah, I'll be
[00:03:39] Maybe you actually give me to snap it
[00:03:44] Can you hear me now chat hello now my Anna said it's working
[00:03:49] That was not even straight wait it's turning it's turning it's turning
[00:03:59] That's a curve right there
[00:04:01] That is a curve
[00:04:03] never misses a shot I was way too hard it's gone too much gone too strong so
[00:04:12] I think you got a team here good night for rotating oh yeah team okay oh is it
[00:04:17] yeah we'll do teams I like that that's smart get everyone engaged don't please
[00:04:23] Don't hit mine though. Please don't. Too hard. Wait?
[00:04:29] Alright, Avery.
[00:04:35] Such. Avery.
[00:04:38] Avery's like, I do this shit every day.
[00:04:43] Too hard.
[00:04:48] Alright, that was me?
[00:04:50] How would you assess your performance at Avery?
[00:04:54] Disappointing as always.
[00:04:57] A little safe fell.
[00:05:01] A little safe fell.
[00:05:03] Whoa!
[00:05:05] Call that a blocking stone.
[00:05:07] That blocks and protects your front stone.
[00:05:09] Yeah, that's strategy right there.
[00:05:11] I don't want to hit mine.
[00:05:13] You could hit mine.
[00:05:15] Yeah, Andy, you could hit mine.
[00:05:17] Maybe not that one, but...
[00:05:19] That's setting me up nicely, maybe?
[00:05:21] That's fine.
[00:05:25] Is it Chris?
[00:05:27] Oh yeah, it would be Chris, right?
[00:05:29] Now, how do you, does that mean we have two points?
[00:05:32] Yes, two points.
[00:05:32] So I have two points, okay.
[00:05:35] This is our warm up for the stream
[00:05:37] while people are joining, and then we can.
[00:05:39] Oh God.
[00:05:40] Easy.
[00:05:41] No, I'll clear in the blocker.
[00:05:43] Clear in the blocker.
[00:05:44] All right, Avery.
[00:05:45] There's only one option here.
[00:05:47] He's a perfect weight.
[00:05:49] I'm likely.
[00:05:50] You were built for this?
[00:05:50] Or, I am into the other one.
[00:05:53] Yeah, we built this one.
[00:05:54] Classic triple takeout.
[00:05:55] Wait, that's pretty good.
[00:05:58] Oh.
[00:06:01] And that's it.
[00:06:01] That's it.
[00:06:02] You got two points, and then you switch sides.
[00:06:03] Oh, and then swap sides.
[00:06:04] You can do drinking, probably.
[00:06:05] So you come over here.
[00:06:06] Ah, OK.
[00:06:08] I see, I see.
[00:06:09] You know the rules.
[00:06:10] How do you like being a cameraman?
[00:06:12] I love it, dude.
[00:06:13] That's great.
[00:06:13] Yoni, the cameraman.
[00:06:16] Hello, everybody.
[00:06:18] You might know me from other streams.
[00:06:20] You have to get closer.
[00:06:22] You have to get closer to the microphone?
[00:06:24] What's surprising is both me and Chris
[00:06:26] have these microphones, and they're not echoing.
[00:06:27] I don't think which is interesting. Yeah, maybe you should you should bring us down and you'd be like Tony star
[00:06:32] Yeah, right. Let's go another round. You start this time
[00:06:41] Annie with the starter
[00:06:45] No, it's good. That's good. That's good. That's good. That's a good throw. That's really good
[00:06:53] That's really good. Gears of war guns. That's so cool
[00:07:00] I'm going to try to knock hers off, maybe. I don't know, I'm nervous. No. Oh, oh, it's
[00:07:13] good weight, but...
[00:07:14] All right, we're making it come back.
[00:07:18] Oh, are these the rounds?
[00:07:22] This is the one.
[00:07:23] I think that's score.
[00:07:24] Oh, score.
[00:07:25] Okay.
[00:07:26] I don't know.
[00:07:32] Who knows? Do we just play for fun?
[00:07:33] Uh-oh.
[00:07:34] Oh, oh, oh.
[00:07:35] one for one you just took her block out you're like no it's my boy which color
[00:07:43] we oh we're black I want you to bless it with an English phrase uh cheers boah
[00:07:53] what day is it it's a Tuesday Tuesday it's a Tuesday in it Tuesday's in it
[00:08:02] go on bro oh hey that's pretty good oh oh oh oh I think one is all of this
[00:08:17] right from the half any year shot you're up I believe forgive me that's
[00:08:33] What's your what's your best English English accent?
[00:08:58] Going in I'm going in I'm going in I'm going in I'm going the pacing to try out special
[00:09:03] Yeah, you turn to one or two two that's good
[00:09:05] I don't know if that's great I love how they could see everyone playing Smash at the back
[00:09:12] or have they just gave it back there.
[00:09:15] Avery going in.
[00:09:17] Wait, you guys for sure won this round.
[00:09:20] Oh my lord, okay, okay.
[00:09:23] All right Chris.
[00:09:25] Sure enough.
[00:09:26] This is our last shot.
[00:09:28] I just aim for this.
[00:09:31] You can try to aim for theirs but you might hit only, it's hard.
[00:09:33] It's hard to aim.
[00:09:34] I think I still hit that maybe it was wipe everything out. Okay. Okay. God bless the queen
[00:09:51] Oh
[00:09:54] That's you that's UK strength
[00:10:00] Sorry queen
[00:10:02] Yeah, I mean, I kind of want to show this area a little bit more and I kind of want to give Avery a mic and just like
[00:10:12] Introduce every
[00:10:15] Steal a microphone. We all know Chris, but we don't all know Avery
[00:10:22] Oh, yeah, that's cool. I love unlimited power
[00:10:26] Thanks, Chris. But yeah, there's nothing really formal here. It's pretty casual
[00:10:29] So thank you, I guess, to you guys letting me do a little IRL session here.
[00:10:33] But yeah, a little introduction, tell us about yourself.
[00:10:35] Yeah, of course.
[00:10:36] So I'm Avery, executive producer on Project Astrid, which means I'm lucky enough to work
[00:10:41] with these two gentlemen.
[00:10:44] And I've been at Splash only about a year now, but long enough to figure out where
[00:10:47] most of the things are.
[00:10:49] So obviously you've found the all-important shuffleboard table.
[00:10:52] We've got the front desk lab over here.
[00:10:53] Right.
[00:10:54] You do a lot of playtests in here.
[00:10:55] We could kind of walk over it.
[00:10:56] Do you want to have a look?
[00:10:57] Yeah, have a look.
[00:10:58] for anyone that might have joined a little late.
[00:11:01] And then this space is mainly used for play tests.
[00:11:04] Yeah, almost exclusively for play tests.
[00:11:06] So we'll do internal play tests here mostly,
[00:11:08] but sometimes we have like focus groups
[00:11:12] or we'll have visiting executives,
[00:11:14] people from other studios will come and play test here.
[00:11:16] We also, this is where we do a lot of our playing
[00:11:18] for fun, right?
[00:11:19] So like we have a fighting game club
[00:11:22] that will have tournaments here.
[00:11:24] I made it into the C tier.
[00:11:25] I'm very proud to say it.
[00:11:26] You guys also have like a racing?
[00:11:29] So this is kind of crazy.
[00:11:30] Yeah, yeah.
[00:11:31] So these racing rigs are relatively new.
[00:11:33] I think we had one for a while.
[00:11:34] And I think the second one is new, but I might be mistaken.
[00:11:36] But yeah, pretty serious in racing,
[00:11:39] which I think puts us in good shape.
[00:11:41] We've also recently done some charity go-kart races
[00:11:45] with other game developers for local gaming charity.
[00:11:51] So I think this gives us a little bit of a competitive edge.
[00:11:54] But yeah, so we do a lot of playtesting down here.
[00:11:56] World Playtest Project, Astrid, and well, I think you guys were also playing in the
[00:12:01] Playtest lab before if I'm not mistaken, right? Or in the streaming suite.
[00:12:05] So yeah, the streaming suite, I actually streamed from there once, which was quite
[00:12:09] fun. It was very, very soundproof. Like I literally, it was silence in that room.
[00:12:14] Well, the other thing that's great here is we have a few of them have really,
[00:12:17] really good speakers, right? So when we're playtesting at our desks, which
[00:12:20] we do now multiple times a week, this is the best place to come to get
[00:12:25] like a great sound experience.
[00:12:27] And audio is really important to us.
[00:12:29] We've got a pretty strong audio team.
[00:12:31] Super important in survival as well, obviously.
[00:12:33] So it's good to come down here and just sort of like boom it.
[00:12:37] Yep, yep, love it.
[00:12:39] I love all the Herman Millers.
[00:12:41] I have a lot of these myself.
[00:12:43] How many do you go through?
[00:12:45] I don't go through them, but I do have a lot of them.
[00:12:48] I have like 10 of them.
[00:12:49] So about the same in this freaking room, but it's awesome.
[00:12:52] This room's cool.
[00:12:53] I do kind of want to walk around, maybe check out.
[00:12:56] I kind of want to maybe check out the cafeteria.
[00:12:58] Yeah, let's do it.
[00:12:59] We can go by just.
[00:12:59] I also don't want to bother anybody.
[00:13:01] The cafeteria is a secret.
[00:13:04] Oh yeah, you'd show a little memorabilia
[00:13:07] from all the previous projects and gears.
[00:13:12] And we've got two buildings.
[00:13:13] Each of them is four stories tall, right?
[00:13:15] So most people that are working right now
[00:13:16] are upstairs in the second, third, and fourth floor
[00:13:18] for the Americans.
[00:13:19] That is the no-no zone.
[00:13:20] No camera up there.
[00:13:21] Yeah, exactly.
[00:13:21] here not going up there. We stay down here. And then we've got the other building as well
[00:13:26] right next door. Yeah, Wolfenstein. Yeah. I was so young when this came out, but I did
[00:13:34] play it. That was my dad. That was actually one of my dad's favorite games. Oh, yeah.
[00:13:39] Actually, yeah. He loved that game so much. Well, we've got the Wolfie T conference room
[00:13:45] is named in its honor, of course.
[00:13:47] Now we can go kind of check out the, we can see some people playing Smash on our way out,
[00:13:54] so we just angle this way, we can see some Smash brothers on the way by.
[00:13:58] We've also got a big auditorium here, so we do a lot of our larger meetings.
[00:14:01] Can we pop in the auditorium?
[00:14:02] Yeah, we can go in here.
[00:14:03] We also, you could do a quick check going first, make sure the camera, I don't think
[00:14:07] they ever know.
[00:14:08] We are live, so our company values there are very important to us.
[00:14:12] Company values, let's just wait out here for a sec.
[00:14:14] Yeah, we're good.
[00:14:15] We're good?
[00:14:16] Yeah.
[00:14:16] Nothing?
[00:14:17] OK.
[00:14:17] So we'll do some of the larger company meetings in here.
[00:14:20] And also, importantly to me, this
[00:14:22] will do the splash of damage.
[00:14:25] I think it's called the whiskey club.
[00:14:27] We'll occasionally meet in here.
[00:14:28] This was for our first visit to the UK was here.
[00:14:35] And we were both me and Chris.
[00:14:38] We're just standing up right here in front of the microphone.
[00:14:40] And my god was I nervous.
[00:14:42] I don't know if you were.
[00:14:43] Oh, I really like video games.
[00:14:47] The room was full.
[00:14:48] All the devs are here just shouting questions at us.
[00:14:51] They're just like, what about this?
[00:14:52] What about this?
[00:14:52] Yeah, I'm like, oh my god.
[00:14:54] It was freaking awesome.
[00:14:55] It was freaking awesome.
[00:14:56] But that was our first visit, too.
[00:14:58] These are also big projector walls.
[00:14:59] So the last time I saw a movie in here,
[00:15:02] we got the new Ghostbusters film.
[00:15:05] And John, lead tech artist on Project Astrid,
[00:15:09] had the full handmade, like metal proton accelerator pack.
[00:15:14] Like not the Hasbro one from the toy shop.
[00:15:17] The full heavy duty cosplay lit up and everything.
[00:15:21] And he came in with a jumpsuit
[00:15:23] and everything with his own name embroidered on it.
[00:15:25] And like, so you know Ghostbusters pretty well.
[00:15:27] He's like, yes I do.
[00:15:28] Halloween is definitely his favorite.
[00:15:30] Oh yeah.
[00:15:31] Like holiday, he loves that.
[00:15:32] And he's a great tech artist as well.
[00:15:34] He's leading our tech art teams and we're really lucky.
[00:15:36] Oh, love this room, it's cool.
[00:15:38] I want like a theater like this in my house.
[00:15:41] I want this whole first floor in my house actually.
[00:15:44] The streaming room.
[00:15:45] Yeah, I want the hall.
[00:15:47] Yeah, we could kind of walk over to the cafeteria.
[00:15:49] Let me make sure really quick.
[00:15:50] Is everything good?
[00:15:52] Aunt Hannah, is everything good?
[00:15:54] Yeah.
[00:15:55] Everything's good?
[00:15:55] OK, let's go that way.
[00:15:56] Yeah.
[00:15:57] Yeah, you could, if you don't want to show something,
[00:15:59] you can go to the floor or whatever.
[00:16:01] Dirty spots.
[00:16:02] Yeah.
[00:16:05] Yeah.
[00:16:07] Hey Rich, do we want to put him on the spot?
[00:16:10] Do we want to put you on the spot?
[00:16:12] We're live right now, kind of doing a little walk through.
[00:16:15] Yeah.
[00:16:18] Thank you.
[00:16:19] Well, this is great.
[00:16:20] You're actually filming now.
[00:16:21] Yeah, yeah, just like, we're keeping it, we're live.
[00:16:24] We're live.
[00:16:25] We're weirdly impromptu.
[00:16:27] We are live.
[00:16:28] Thank you.
[00:16:28] Well, you have both.
[00:16:31] Yeah, I mean, it's fine.
[00:16:33] As you know, you can just introduce yourself
[00:16:34] something really quick.
[00:16:35] Hello, I am Rich Shulley, I'm co-founder and CEO of Swastamich.
[00:16:39] Beautiful, that's literally it, we're just the legend, yeah.
[00:16:42] Tell them you're really cool alias.
[00:16:44] I can't tell my really cool alias. I devised my alias when I was like 19.
[00:16:49] I don't think it was a very different world for online gaming at that point.
[00:16:53] Esports was not even a term when I used to play to bed.
[00:16:57] Even in this business a long freaking time.
[00:17:00] Yeah, we were only swathing until about 20, 23 years ago, so, yeah, we were full on Indy when we started.
[00:17:06] Literally, I started in the bedroom, right, so, yeah, I'm sleeping on the floor on a bed made of paper.
[00:17:12] Looker eyes.
[00:17:13] Was it muddings? Was it muddings?
[00:17:14] That's cool.
[00:17:14] Yeah, we were mottin', so we were mottin' the way it came out.
[00:17:16] I feel like there's so many stories of, like, mod teams, and then getting picked up and then starting their own business and stuff.
[00:17:20] Many of them, yeah.
[00:17:21] Yeah, but, like, I don't want to waste any of the precious time. I just wanted a little introduction.
[00:17:25] I've never come to here because it's so loud.
[00:17:26] Oh yeah, we do have a schedule.
[00:17:28] I mean, he might need to get back
[00:17:30] so we can just take his microphone.
[00:17:31] Whatever you guys need.
[00:17:32] Yeah.
[00:17:33] But thank you.
[00:17:34] I didn't even notice that.
[00:17:35] I didn't even know it was you.
[00:17:37] Wow, okay, you're right.
[00:17:37] Yeah.
[00:17:38] Enjoy yourselves.
[00:17:39] Yeah.
[00:17:40] Thank you.
[00:17:41] This saw the spot like, like, great.
[00:17:43] Whoa, okay.
[00:17:44] That was not, that was not planned, no.
[00:17:47] Obviously what's inside the computer
[00:17:48] is a super top secret,
[00:17:49] but the outsides of the computers
[00:17:50] in the server room, perfectly, perfectly fine.
[00:17:53] I've never actually been in there.
[00:17:54] I like to think it's like,
[00:17:55] probably the most climate-controlled room in the building.
[00:17:58] Yeah, so I heard about this room that it's like,
[00:18:02] it has the, whatever, the protection at the top
[00:18:05] where it like, lets out a certain-
[00:18:06] Halon, Halon.
[00:18:07] Yeah, I was like, okay.
[00:18:09] So in case of fire, just put it out.
[00:18:11] Service security is super-duper important, right?
[00:18:14] So yeah, there's usually Halon systems in server rooms.
[00:18:18] I don't know if we have one in here,
[00:18:19] but if so, then I think the fire department
[00:18:21] needs to be specially notified.
[00:18:23] Halon's really good at putting out fires
[00:18:24] without damaging things.
[00:18:25] Not really good, you know, for your health to clean up after that, so that's why it's it if it's a hill on system
[00:18:31] It's a closed room. Well quick quick tiny little tour
[00:18:34] I know we're conscious of time so we got to go to London, but a quick tiny little tour of the cafeteria show
[00:18:39] I mean, it's a cafeteria. Yeah, we do karaoke over there. We've got our
[00:18:43] Large television here. Obviously people, you know go around, you know, we're in central Bromley
[00:18:47] So there's a lot of good food around. Yeah, but people will often meet in here
[00:18:51] We do gaming nights that people find right now board games a lot of board games people do a lot of warhammer in here as well
[00:18:57] I
[00:18:59] Yeah, we also occasionally will hire professional dungeon masters for D&D nights and things like that
[00:19:07] So good activities. I love it and
[00:19:10] Splash has a lot of people who are really really into warhammer. Oh, yeah, like top tier painters
[00:19:16] Yeah, really really hot some of the best painters are from Splash
[00:19:19] Yeah, some very, very good painters and the club there is called the Brush Lickers, of course.
[00:19:27] Alright.
[00:19:29] If you don't have the right amount of saliva on your brush, you can't quite get the details.
[00:19:35] I think that what comes down.
[00:19:38] Got it. Another little chill area where people could just game.
[00:19:41] GameCube set up, a little rock band, a little foosball.
[00:19:44] foosball. And then over here is pretty much just cafeteria stuff, honestly. Nothing too
[00:19:49] crazy to show. There's like seven microwaves of bazillion ovens.
[00:19:53] A lot of tea bags. Yeah, and these are the best snacks. But yeah.
[00:20:02] This is UK snacks right here. Oh, you can't go that way. Okay. Can't go that way. But
[00:20:08] we stay here. And we could twist that. Yeah, we should kind of head out of here so we
[00:20:13] can stop taking important time for people. Avery is...
[00:20:16] Are you gonna be heading down to the train station as well?
[00:20:18] Well, we don't have much to...
[00:20:20] I can't say, but I was gonna...
[00:20:22] Oh, no, okay.
[00:20:24] Let Avery just give a little bit of a...
[00:20:26] That's my brief!
[00:20:28] You kind of said what you do here,
[00:20:30] and what you do now, but what about before?
[00:20:32] Yeah, okay, so I've been in the industry
[00:20:34] for a while, actually.
[00:20:36] I don't even want to think about it.
[00:20:38] I've been pushing 20 years.
[00:20:40] Before that, I was studying video games from the outside.
[00:20:42] games from the outside.
[00:20:45] But coming to splash damage is sort of like a dream, right?
[00:20:51] My wife tells me that I finally got my dream job.
[00:20:53] So working on a game that I really love
[00:20:56] and working with people that are super duper passionate
[00:20:59] about what they do and just really talk to your talent.
[00:21:02] Like, that's really exciting.
[00:21:03] So as I say, I've only been here a year.
[00:21:05] I might start getting a little more weary everyone
[00:21:07] after two or three, four years at a company.
[00:21:10] They might start to get a little tired,
[00:21:12] but I've got all the enthusiasm right now.
[00:21:14] I can't talk a lot about the project.
[00:21:16] I mean, we know what's been announced.
[00:21:18] Even just doing this was a little nerve-wracking.
[00:21:21] And I'm just like, yeah, I'm just trying to show,
[00:21:23] you know, like that we're here, we're vibing,
[00:21:25] but just being safe at the same time.
[00:21:26] I could say everyone is still working upstairs, right?
[00:21:29] We're working really hard on the project.
[00:21:31] And you guys got to play test it.
[00:21:33] I mean, you play frequently,
[00:21:34] but you got to play a recent build.
[00:21:35] What did you think?
[00:21:36] Did you enjoy it?
[00:21:37] Was it surprising?
[00:21:38] I mean, without revealing anything,
[00:21:41] being as big as possible. It was great. I had a good time. It was much better to play in
[00:21:49] person because I don't have to deal with the ping difference. We played at home. We had
[00:21:53] like 200 ping to the U.K. So to be able to play in person and stuff was really, really
[00:21:57] good. It's really, really hard to talk about this in a live setting without...
[00:21:59] You have to be really careful. I don't want to say anything. I don't want to leak
[00:22:04] any of that. Please, I don't want to be the one that leaks, so...
[00:22:07] What's the role that you like? Obviously we know your title, but what is the role that you do here?
[00:22:12] Oh, you know what's a tough one to describe. So the title is executive producer, but that really means different things everywhere.
[00:22:19] I think it's because the video game industry tends to copy the movie industry, and it's sort of a catch-all title there.
[00:22:24] Basically the way that Rich, for instance, describes my job is basically CEO of the game.
[00:22:29] Interesting. That's a doper title.
[00:22:32] title. Yeah, I suppose. I once tried to get a business card that said VicePrincess, pretty
[00:22:39] pretty, and even that got blocked. That wasn't here. But no, so basically I don't actually
[00:22:44] do much directly. I don't even have the editor installed on my computer because I don't want
[00:22:48] to get caught drilling in and just hyper-focusing on anything like that. Mostly my job, the
[00:22:54] way that I see it is every department has their vision. We got the art vision, we
[00:22:58] We've got the design vision, we've got the technical vision,
[00:23:00] we've got the creative direction.
[00:23:03] Production and marketing have a vision
[00:23:04] of what the game is when it comes to market.
[00:23:07] My job is just to make all of those visions true
[00:23:09] and to sort of fold them together and help break ties.
[00:23:12] I do a lot of time in spreadsheets.
[00:23:14] I look at a lot of them.
[00:23:15] He loves spreadsheets.
[00:23:17] Yeah, whenever we do design calls,
[00:23:18] sometimes I'm like, hey, I've got a spreadsheet.
[00:23:20] Here we go.
[00:23:21] The design spreadsheets are maybe a little more fun.
[00:23:23] I spend a lot of time on things like
[00:23:24] resourcing, staff planning, head count,
[00:23:27] velocity planning, outsourcing, that sort of thing,
[00:23:30] making sure that the team is the right shape and size
[00:23:32] for the phase that we're in,
[00:23:34] and that we've got the right staff in place,
[00:23:36] which is always tricky, right?
[00:23:37] The video game industry has really highly skilled folk,
[00:23:41] and we are increasingly specialized as the years go on.
[00:23:46] So sometimes you need someone doing something
[00:23:48] that the job title has only really existed
[00:23:50] for a couple years.
[00:23:51] So it, but getting to build a team
[00:23:53] and hold a team together is a huge privilege.
[00:23:56] And I came on to a team that already had a ton of talent already.
[00:24:00] So as a recent person joining the team mostly, I'm just trying not to screw you up.
[00:24:04] Mm-hm, yeah.
[00:24:05] That's super cool.
[00:24:06] Fair?
[00:24:07] Yeah.
[00:24:08] Yeah, we're running low on time here.
[00:24:10] We've got to catch the train.
[00:24:11] We've got to catch the train.
[00:24:12] Thank you, Avery.
[00:24:13] Thank you so much.
[00:24:14] Yeah, of course.
[00:24:14] Happy to.
[00:24:15] You're welcome.
[00:24:16] That's freaking awesome.
[00:24:17] Yeah.
[00:24:17] I love it.
[00:24:18] Yeah, cheers.
[00:24:19] Thanks, Mark.
[00:24:19] Now it's time to walk around Bromley.
[00:24:21] And yeah, we're going to the train station.
[00:24:24] We're going to go to London.
[00:24:26] Just be careful with the camera.
[00:24:27] Make sure you don't show anything, you shouldn't.
[00:24:31] Yeah, we're good, everything's good.
[00:24:34] Maybe at this angle.
[00:24:36] Yeah, now we're gonna kind of just like,
[00:24:37] we don't wanna show anything, you never know.
[00:24:40] So we're just gonna aim at the ground, aim at the ground.
[00:24:43] Don't even show, yeah.
[00:24:49] We can out without the-
[00:24:50] Oh yeah, we need a pass.
[00:24:53] Sorry, secret pass.
[00:24:56] Oh, sorry.
[00:24:58] wait we're being let out from the outside it's great okay all right we're good
[00:25:06] all right well we're walking to the train station okay beautiful England's
[00:25:14] well whatever you see is what cats is yeah it's not raining it's not raining
[00:25:28] it's great I love that I love that for us yeah I love that I mean it's great for
[00:25:33] The backpack is not waterproof but they said like if you need to put on a plastic bag or
[00:25:43] something over it, because you could put it in a really tight backpack but it might overheat
[00:25:47] or whatever.
[00:25:49] This is weird.
[00:25:50] Oh boy.
[00:25:51] Oh yeah.
[00:25:52] Oh yeah.
[00:25:53] That's the good stuff.
[00:25:54] Yeah.
[00:25:55] That's loud.
[00:25:56] Love that.
[00:25:57] Oh my goodness.
[00:25:58] Can we put it in the bag?
[00:25:59] Oh my goodness. Can we get to the station? Yeah, I know where the
[00:26:07] translation is. I love Bromley. Bromley is beautiful. Here's your Fallout London
[00:26:11] navigation. Yeah, and Fallout London I found Bromley and I navigated. You can see this now and be like, oh, it is the thing from the back. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm assuming my
[00:26:18] stream could still hear me, probably. I don't know. It's my first IRL stream, so this is kind of interesting, but I'm assuming you guys can still hear me.
[00:26:24] I basically went and played Fallout London and the first thing I did is go to Bromley. Yeah,
[00:26:32] And if you want to know why it's cuz
[00:26:36] Flash family's in Broadway and here we are and we're gonna try to navigate music
[00:26:40] fallout London with this bump in music let's go no no UK music uh-uh USA baby
[00:26:49] That's Snoop Dogg. Dude it's so weird to look I don't know which way to look when
[00:26:57] crossing the street. Yeah you're always like look right left right left it is
[00:27:07] weird I like it I're out like walking around I'm walking around a city right
[00:27:15] now I've never done this we can cross okay this is the jewel of Britain this is
[00:27:20] the jewel of Britain Bromley problem is yeah I don't think I've never I don't
[00:27:33] think I've ever done a stream like this where I'm just walking around yeah are
[00:27:36] Are you looking at chat?
[00:27:37] Yeah, yeah.
[00:27:38] Yeah, yeah.
[00:27:39] That was being cool.
[00:27:40] Yeah, or is anyone saying anything just?
[00:27:43] Anyone's asking questions or I don't know.
[00:27:46] This is weird.
[00:27:46] I've never done an IRL stream.
[00:27:47] So let's take a little peek.
[00:27:50] People just vibing.
[00:27:52] Yeah?
[00:27:53] I don't know.
[00:27:55] That's what's up.
[00:27:57] Why is no one recognizing him?
[00:27:59] What?
[00:28:00] Why would people?
[00:28:01] He was in Heathrow for like 30 seconds
[00:28:03] before someone could ever went, trial?
[00:28:06] I have not recognized that much.
[00:28:07] I'm not like, I'm not, you know, I'm not a frickin'.
[00:28:11] What did the nice man say to you at the airport?
[00:28:15] Oh yeah, I've been recognized by one guy at the airport
[00:28:18] and he told me, have a nice day.
[00:28:20] No, no, have a nice life.
[00:28:21] Have a nice life.
[00:28:22] You're like, what?
[00:28:23] I was like, whoa, okay.
[00:28:25] My bad.
[00:28:26] It sounded like a threat.
[00:28:27] Yeah, I thought I was about to get murdered,
[00:28:28] but yeah, no.
[00:28:31] Why am I gonna get recognized?
[00:28:31] I'm not like a kison ad or anything.
[00:28:33] I'm just normal, I'm a normal dude.
[00:28:36] Well, kind of normal dude.
[00:28:40] Mostly normal dude, yeah.
[00:28:44] No, I do get recognized a decent bit, but like.
[00:28:47] When you first came here, we went for lunch with the CEO.
[00:28:50] The restaurant owner was like, a shroud.
[00:28:52] Oh yeah, it happens all the time.
[00:28:54] It happens sometimes.
[00:28:55] You're humble.
[00:28:57] It happens sometimes.
[00:28:59] But it's kind of nice being a little incognito.
[00:29:02] kind of just like, you know, just chillin'.
[00:29:08] Yeah, no, it's nice.
[00:29:08] It's been raining the past few days in Bromley,
[00:29:10] so to be able to just walk around
[00:29:12] and not have it rain is fantastic.
[00:29:14] I love that for us.
[00:29:17] Currently, we're basically going to dinner.
[00:29:18] I'm not gonna stream dinner,
[00:29:19] but we're basically gonna go take the train.
[00:29:21] Is that what you guys call it here?
[00:29:23] Is that what it's called?
[00:29:24] Train or is it good?
[00:29:25] It's not the tube.
[00:29:26] Okay, we're taking a train, not the tube.
[00:29:27] It's like a tube but above ground.
[00:29:29] Okay, that's good.
[00:29:30] We'll have reception.
[00:29:31] But I'd imagine here in the UK the tube even has good reception too.
[00:29:35] No, it's dead.
[00:29:35] It's dead?
[00:29:36] Yeah.
[00:29:36] OK.
[00:29:37] Never mind.
[00:29:38] Never mind then.
[00:29:40] But yeah, we're going to dinner.
[00:29:41] We're not going to stream dinner.
[00:29:42] We're just going to go kind of in central London-ish.
[00:29:45] I don't even know.
[00:29:47] But we're going to be walking around there for a little bit.
[00:29:49] They said we've got a whole of London
[00:29:51] to choose food from.
[00:29:52] What do you want, Mike?
[00:29:53] And you're like, chicken and eggs.
[00:29:54] Yeah.
[00:29:55] Yeah, the first thing I wanted is Nandos, of course.
[00:29:58] You're going to be so tired after holding this.
[00:30:01] I also do I also do wonder I don't have the backup the backup battery and so it's just
[00:30:07] Yeah, I will I just figured watch the pole watch the pole
[00:30:11] What's the pole and the street and the bus and the buses and danger everywhere here the UK dude look out?
[00:30:19] But yeah, I don't have the backup battery. So
[00:30:21] It's just like whatever life we have and we'll just live it. It's just like real life
[00:30:29] Yeah
[00:30:31] Yeah. Yeah.
[00:30:36] It's a pharmacy.
[00:30:40] Love it.
[00:30:43] Yeah, yeah, this is...
[00:30:46] It's charming.
[00:30:53] A cool thing about Bromley, if you're wearing this hoodie, like the splash hoodie, the employee one,
[00:30:58] you want. Splash is like the biggest employer in Bromley, so all the chains, the food chains
[00:31:04] know about splash, so when you go in you get a discount. The deletion on the receipt, it'll
[00:31:14] be like splash damage minus 15% or whatever. Let's go. That's why you wear it everywhere.
[00:31:20] Get cheeky Nando's for free. I see, okay, okay. How can we cross? Danger? We can't
[00:31:25] across. So, this is uh, I don't know. Yeah. We've been, we've been here a
[00:31:35] decent bit. We know, yeah, we know Bromley well. Yeah, we know what we like. And in
[00:31:42] Bromley, there's a little bit of everything. I mean, granted, it's not
[00:31:45] like it's, you know, the food, for example, not like a meat is not 10 out of
[00:31:50] 10, but there's, there's everything here, which is great. There's food.
[00:31:54] That's why we're going to London to get our food, yeah.
[00:31:57] To get Anandos.
[00:31:58] We're like Nandos here, but we're going to London to get Anandos.
[00:32:00] I love it.
[00:32:01] You enjoyed your first brumly cold Cinnabon.
[00:32:08] Yeah, that's true.
[00:32:09] You went to the Cinnabon and you're like, they don't even microwave it?
[00:32:11] What the hell?
[00:32:12] Yeah, I couldn't believe I got a dessert and I kept it cold.
[00:32:15] Oh boy.
[00:32:17] I wonder how well these microphones are.
[00:32:19] I'm going in blind.
[00:32:20] I'm trusting my production team, Hannah.
[00:32:24] Hey, my production team, Hannah, is taking care of everything on the back end.
[00:32:28] So if she texts me it's good, I look at my watch, she can do the update.
[00:32:32] Yeah, it's great, everything's going well. Fantastic.
[00:32:35] Yeah, people playing the mic's working well.
[00:32:37] Yeah, if everything's picking up well.
[00:32:38] We're in the part of town that's like walking only. There's no cars here.
[00:32:41] Yeah, there's no cars here. No streets, only walking.
[00:32:44] Little bit of America there.
[00:32:45] Little bit of America.
[00:32:46] Touch of America.
[00:32:48] You want to get your high fructose syrup or whatever? Con-serup?
[00:32:52] This is the part of, when I said I, it's nice and quiet now, or not near the street, thank goodness.
[00:32:57] But this is the part that I was walking through in Fallout London, when I said I wanted to go to Bromley.
[00:33:02] This was the part where I was walking through and recognizing everything.
[00:33:06] And I doubt any of you guys were here watching me play Fallout London when I went to Bromley in Fallout London.
[00:33:12] But once we start walking through this, you'll get that vibe.
[00:33:15] So much so much, it adds it together. You're like, oh I know this place and then they can look at this photo and be like, oh yeah.
[00:33:19] Oh, I need to buy a belt, man.
[00:33:22] I need to buy a belt.
[00:33:24] My pants are dropping.
[00:33:26] It's not good.
[00:33:27] Or it's a good thing.
[00:33:28] Maybe it means I'm losing weight.
[00:33:29] You know?
[00:33:30] You never know.
[00:33:31] Getting shredded, dude.
[00:33:32] You cutting?
[00:33:33] Chad, I want to show you from behind, you know?
[00:33:36] It's too much for you guys.
[00:33:38] That's what they're gonna be fine.
[00:33:40] Exactly.
[00:33:40] We say that for the premium price.
[00:33:42] The bigger things are right, dude.
[00:33:45] I love that you have Chad open because, like, now
[00:33:48] my Chad doesn't wear my services back.
[00:33:49] I don't know why. My service is bad, so I get to like kind of peek off you and see if it works in, which is cool.
[00:33:55] Rough footage, shroud, touching grins.
[00:33:57] There's no grass here, but yeah.
[00:33:58] Play grass in English.
[00:33:59] Yeah, there's no grass.
[00:34:00] Just a fake cop-up.
[00:34:06] Yeah, we kind of just quickly, I basically had this IRL backpack for a really, really long time,
[00:34:10] and I was always kind of freaked out and I didn't want to use it.
[00:34:13] I don't know, it's like a weird pressure.
[00:34:14] Like from streaming from my room, it's easy.
[00:34:16] Yeah, this is different.
[00:34:17] This is a different environment like we're out in the world.
[00:34:20] So, it's been weird.
[00:34:23] I know. Now that I got past that barrier of clicking live on this backpack,
[00:34:28] I could do it more frequently like I plan to do Disneyland at the end of the month,
[00:34:31] maybe twice, because we ordered way too many tickets.
[00:34:34] We ordered our own tickets and then someone else ordered tickets just in case for us,
[00:34:39] because the Oogie Boogie Bash is hard to get into.
[00:34:41] And I'm like, alright, I guess we're going twice.
[00:34:43] Oogie Boogie Bash.
[00:34:45] What?
[00:34:46] I thought it was like a DLC for Disneyland?
[00:34:48] Yes, exactly that.
[00:34:50] That's the perfect way of putting it.
[00:34:52] It's literally a DLC.
[00:34:53] Basically close off one of the parks, the California Adventure.
[00:34:55] They close it off for only people who have the Ogie Boogie Bash.
[00:34:58] And they basically turn it into an event where it's like trick-or-treating.
[00:35:02] And they have a bunch of actors that are talking shit to you pretty much.
[00:35:05] Like you could walk past, like, we walk past...
[00:35:07] Are you still with the kids?
[00:35:08] No, it's in the adult park.
[00:35:10] So there's alcohol and it's like adult trick-or-treating.
[00:35:13] So you could go past like a villain
[00:35:15] and you could talk shit to the villain
[00:35:16] and they're a real actor
[00:35:17] and they'll talk shit back in the theme of what they are.
[00:35:20] So like in Toy Story, Sid, the big bully guy.
[00:35:24] Well you finally punched him in the face
[00:35:25] who didn't know that mad shit to the story.
[00:35:27] Not quite, but I went up past them
[00:35:29] and I was talking shit to him
[00:35:30] and they're so snappy.
[00:35:31] Oh, okay.
[00:35:32] Yeah, they're so snappy when I talk shit.
[00:35:34] I was just like,
[00:35:35] you know, your line's empty, where are your fans?
[00:35:37] And then he instantly was like,
[00:35:39] Bro, it's closing, where's your critical thinking?
[00:35:44] Everyone's leaving, everyone's leaving.
[00:35:46] Like the way he did the voice acting, it was so good.
[00:35:48] So it's kind of fun, like it's a fun little event.
[00:35:52] But it's also-
[00:35:53] I've got Star Wars people there,
[00:35:54] is that Kyler run there?
[00:35:55] No, cause it's in the other,
[00:35:57] it's not in the Star Wars area, but I mean, maybe.
[00:36:00] I didn't get to explore the whole thing
[00:36:02] cause it's freaking huge, but look at how charming this is.
[00:36:06] Isn't this lovely?
[00:36:07] Isn't this lovely?
[00:36:08] Every shop you can see here sells a bottle of water.
[00:36:10] Literally.
[00:36:11] And it's free on a Tuesday.
[00:36:13] There's just so many.
[00:36:15] I was talking to Chris earlier how there's so many shops.
[00:36:18] Yeah, you said the shop density is so much higher
[00:36:20] than America.
[00:36:21] Like, it's just shop, shop, shop, shop, shop.
[00:36:22] Yeah, it's crazy.
[00:36:22] Look at them 20 shops per block.
[00:36:24] Yeah.
[00:36:24] It's a walking little town, a little central town area.
[00:36:28] This place during the day is pretty bustling.
[00:36:30] Like, you're told.
[00:36:31] Yeah, it is.
[00:36:33] I mean, even now, there's still a decent people.
[00:36:35] High street.
[00:36:35] High street.
[00:36:38] I believe so I guess we did there's Greg's everywhere we always pass the
[00:36:44] Greg's that's like that's like passing a Starbucks in America just you're always
[00:36:50] passing cultural exchange we've got five guys you get a prep I believe we're
[00:36:59] passing am I crazy we're about to pass the Glades or soon I don't think we
[00:37:05] pass it yet let's do I know my Bromley I do know my Bromley I do know I know my
[00:37:11] Bromley is in the game yeah so it's all the fight fall London the first thing I
[00:37:15] did is rush to the Glades and there was so many people in there like people to
[00:37:20] fight it was insane but yeah that's how I that's how I knew I was in the right
[00:37:25] spot and then I worked my way to the train station which is also funny
[00:37:28] enough where we're going right now and then I found the train station I
[00:37:31] I found the office.
[00:37:32] That's so cool.
[00:37:33] Yep.
[00:37:34] The hardest thing about being in the UK
[00:37:36] is looking the wrong way.
[00:37:37] Yeah, every time I try to cross the street,
[00:37:39] I'm like, which way do I look?
[00:37:41] I've been in Canada so long now.
[00:37:42] I'm the same.
[00:37:43] Yeah.
[00:37:43] Yeah.
[00:37:44] These are more complicated.
[00:37:45] So you're even used to?
[00:37:46] Yeah.
[00:37:47] American, left, right, right, right.
[00:37:49] Which way is right?
[00:37:50] And which way is wrong?
[00:37:51] Driving.
[00:37:53] The eternal ocean.
[00:37:55] Fahrenheit or Celsius.
[00:37:58] So I think the British way is right.
[00:38:01] because you draw your sword, your sword is on your left.
[00:38:04] We don't have swords anymore.
[00:38:06] I mean, when very, like, lore and stuff was being right, like...
[00:38:09] Chris, you know what? It's called riding chocolate, right?
[00:38:11] Because that's where you put your gun.
[00:38:13] That's a fair point.
[00:38:15] That's a fair point.
[00:38:17] Horse-tron carriages versus, you know, automobiles.
[00:38:21] Yeah, we just adapted to the times.
[00:38:23] That's why we drive on the proper side of the road.
[00:38:26] So it's easier to do trunk fun.
[00:38:28] With a friend, yeah, apparently.
[00:38:30] I wonder how those backpacks gonna do on the train, but like the service seems okay. I'm assuming the quality is fine mostly
[00:38:45] Well, he's good
[00:38:46] No, the only thing is we don't have like a proper like we don't have a gimbal
[00:38:49] We don't have like a crazy setup. Yeah, like a gear. Yeah, you try to keep all the girls
[00:38:53] You weren't yeah, we need you to believe you be as steady as possible, but yeah, we don't have like proper stuff. It was just kind of a
[00:39:01] You know
[00:39:04] Yeah, I mean you're doing great as camera man. You're working with what you got no gimbal. Maybe I should have brought it. I don't know
[00:39:13] Gimbal's heavy like so I was testing the gimbal before and I was like, oh, this is sick, but
[00:39:23] You don't even use your hands, it's just like on your chest, there's no weight, there's
[00:39:27] no doubt.
[00:39:28] I mean, maybe in the future, if this IRL thing is fun and I enjoy it and I do it more, maybe
[00:39:33] I pay a camera guy, currently our camera guy now is unpaid, he's working for free,
[00:39:39] a volunteer, if you will.
[00:39:41] We're paying him off with the Greggs, we're giving him a fine, I'm a cheap trick.
[00:39:52] We're almost there.
[00:39:53] those who are about to approach it, what is a Gregg's?
[00:39:58] What is a Gregg's?
[00:40:00] So you've probably heard of French cuisine, you've probably heard of the Michelin star.
[00:40:03] Gregg's is the peak, the pinnacle if you will, of English cuisine.
[00:40:08] Each meal is perfectly balanced to give you as much fat clog up in your heart arteries as possible.
[00:40:16] But delivering the most amount of taste per square inch is scientifically possible.
[00:40:20] So inspired by America?
[00:40:22] Yeah, we want to be Americans so bad.
[00:40:26] That's good.
[00:40:31] Oh, there's the Greggs.
[00:40:33] Oh, look at that.
[00:40:35] The pinnacle of culture.
[00:40:37] The finest chefs working there.
[00:40:40] Are you trying to flop in?
[00:40:42] Yeah.
[00:40:47] Hi.
[00:40:49] Do you want to get a bottle of water?
[00:40:51] Do you want to get some water?
[00:40:53] head out. Let's head out. Oh yeah we do have to catch a train. No we got to catch this train.
[00:41:02] Is the train really cork- oh oh we missed it. Don't leak anything.
[00:41:09] There's someone texting you at that moment. I'm even scared of my wash so I'm trying to like hide it.
[00:41:19] You're trying to like put the camera on me but also dodge all the people.
[00:41:21] train station wait so do do they get like a VIP pass where we get extra passes off
[00:41:31] them or do we have to buy tickets do it and I don't have sat pay on my can you do
[00:41:37] for me none of my watch though I didn't know the thing is that tech that you do
[00:41:43] here okay well no I know I know how I'm saying like does it work on the
[00:41:49] train station yeah okay I I do not
[00:41:59] train so I've had trains for you
[00:42:02] you put about 15 minutes okay you want to hang out in the station you want to hang
[00:42:12] out in here okay we could go in the station he's a car there right yeah
[00:42:19] could someone pay for me thank you I scream a privilege sorry this is bullshit oh yeah of course
[00:42:32] my bad my bad Romley's beautiful beautiful although we're here for splash damage if you're
[00:42:41] familiar if you're familiar yeah let's get let's hope you go say bubble water
[00:42:47] bubble yeah bubble one no problem yeah nice to meet you yeah yeah my first
[00:42:58] stream sniper my first my first stream sniper nice to meet you he bowed to you
[00:43:04] dude yeah he bowed English game I went to shake his hand and I didn't it's all
[00:43:08] It's fine. He didn't notice. It's fine. It's fine.
[00:43:13] You just talked about that.
[00:43:14] Hi Gene.
[00:43:15] No, getting recognized.
[00:43:16] Oh, getting recognized, okay.
[00:43:18] Yeah, I don't get recognized. It's all bouncy five minutes later.
[00:43:22] I don't know how he said he checked my stream and he saw I was a Bromley,
[00:43:25] and he's like, wait a second, I'm right down the street.
[00:43:28] That's cool.
[00:43:29] Okay.
[00:43:32] Don't leak anything.
[00:43:33] Don't leak anything.
[00:43:34] Don't leak anything.
[00:43:35] I don't know if you can leak, but...
[00:43:36] Just swipe and then walk in.
[00:43:37] I'm not doing it.
[00:43:38] Oh, that's right.
[00:43:39] Yeah, I just turn on the ground in case someone leaks their card info or something and walk me through
[00:43:48] Okay, now we're good to show we're back
[00:43:51] I don't even know if there's anything you could leave but people are crazy
[00:43:57] That's not stunts you
[00:44:04] I don't swipe his face. I'm proud. Let me in please
[00:44:08] I wonder what the, uh, good catch, good catch.
[00:44:21] Let me take a peek really quick.
[00:44:22] I'm gonna take a peek at your back.
[00:44:24] You could...
[00:44:25] Okay.
[00:44:26] I just wanted another battery.
[00:44:28] We're good.
[00:44:29] We'll have enough time to kind of get to London and probably walk around London a little
[00:44:34] bit and then it'll probably die.
[00:44:36] We'll visit the Queen.
[00:44:38] Actually, the time you said to work out, it's not going to be a long stream, it's probably
[00:44:45] going to be only like an hour.
[00:44:46] I don't know.
[00:44:47] Test run, whatever.
[00:44:48] Learn.
[00:44:49] What do you want to do?
[00:44:50] It's been a long time since I went to the show.
[00:44:51] I want to know.
[00:44:52] Yeah, what is chat?
[00:44:53] Let me pull up chat actually.
[00:44:54] Let's talk to you guys for a little bit.
[00:44:55] All right, yeah.
[00:44:56] Let's see if my service works really quick.
[00:44:58] Hannah did text me saying, everything's all great.
[00:45:00] Nice.
[00:45:01] Oh.
[00:45:02] In fact, I need the best.
[00:45:03] It's not a safe place for you.
[00:45:04] We're coming out of this station here in the middle.
[00:45:06] Watch out for the knives.
[00:45:07] I'm just gonna say it, right?
[00:45:09] Which not, it's Jesus.
[00:45:11] Watch, Evelyn, that's the first thing I read.
[00:45:13] Usually I do look out, now I'm deeply focused on
[00:45:16] the other thing, you know, I got a fucking backpack on.
[00:45:19] My chat's not, my chat don't work.
[00:45:22] If I'm talking about my own.
[00:45:23] How does yours work?
[00:45:24] I've got data, homie.
[00:45:26] Okay, well I'll read from her phone, Jet Knives.
[00:45:29] Did you come here to steal our weather, Callie Boy?
[00:45:31] Okay.
[00:45:32] You did say you wanted it to rain.
[00:45:33] And then we went for food and it was raining,
[00:45:35] you like this sucks.
[00:45:36] The rain was cool for about 10 minutes.
[00:45:39] I hope this is not your last IRL stream.
[00:45:41] I don't know if that's like a threat.
[00:45:43] Is that like a threat or?
[00:45:47] Where's Manchester?
[00:45:49] How much delays on the stream is that
[00:45:51] for the Queen's dad?
[00:45:52] What?
[00:45:55] That's a great joke.
[00:45:56] That's good.
[00:45:57] That's good, Joe.
[00:45:58] That's good.
[00:46:00] Manchester's far.
[00:46:01] Travel looks taller than I thought he was.
[00:46:03] Well, it's because I'm standing next to Annie.
[00:46:05] So thank you for making me look tall.
[00:46:07] I hear tall shoes on today.
[00:46:09] Yeah, I can stand next to Chris, right?
[00:46:11] Chris can come next to me.
[00:46:13] And then you can see my real height, I guess.
[00:46:15] How tall are you?
[00:46:16] 5'11".
[00:46:17] There you go.
[00:46:18] He's 5'11".
[00:46:18] I'm whatever.
[00:46:19] I don't know.
[00:46:20] It's something.
[00:46:21] I think I'm 5'1".
[00:46:22] It doesn't matter, dude.
[00:46:25] All right.
[00:46:31] Aw.
[00:46:31] It's chill.
[00:46:33] Good vibes, Intran.
[00:46:34] It's chill.
[00:46:34] It's chill.
[00:46:36] I feel slightly bad for putting Rich on the spot,
[00:46:38] But hopefully it was okay.
[00:46:39] No, I went and checked.
[00:46:40] He was cool.
[00:46:41] Okay.
[00:46:42] I was like, oh my bad.
[00:46:43] He's like, hi, we're live.
[00:46:44] And he's like, oh.
[00:46:45] Oh, zero to 100.
[00:46:48] No, he's cool.
[00:46:49] Well, I want to kind of, if it ends up being okay,
[00:46:52] like obviously we got permission to go and splash damage
[00:46:54] and like live stream a little bit.
[00:46:56] But in the future,
[00:46:57] because we're going to be visiting Bromley
[00:46:59] and stuff often to check out what's going on
[00:47:01] with Project Astrid.
[00:47:02] In the future, I want to maybe do
[00:47:04] a little bit more of that, right?
[00:47:07] It's just cool to get the community a little bit more involved, kind of let everyone know that this project is full force, you know what?
[00:47:14] So I'm glad that they let me do it, and hopefully they'll let me do it on the next visit. So that's what's up.
[00:47:19] How long?
[00:47:20] I don't know. We're waiting for this train.
[00:47:22] Is this the right side? Yeah.
[00:47:25] I trust you guys. You guys know what you're doing.
[00:47:29] What have you done?
[00:47:36] What did you do?
[00:47:41] Stop.
[00:47:42] Silence.
[00:47:43] Cerecancel.
[00:47:44] Cerecancel, please.
[00:47:46] Xbox, turn off.
[00:47:49] Let's just move somewhere else.
[00:47:52] We're just going to move somewhere else.
[00:47:55] We didn't push that button.
[00:47:57] Typical American.
[00:48:00] Typical Americans. Typical Americans.
[00:48:03] Yeah, yeah.
[00:48:05] That's the American alarm.
[00:48:06] It's like a microphone that could hear your accent.
[00:48:09] American detection.
[00:48:10] Boop, boop, boop, boop.
[00:48:12] Oh, my God.
[00:48:14] Yeah, one edge.
[00:48:16] Yeah, one edge.
[00:48:18] Yeah, someone's having a heart attack.
[00:48:20] You'd be like, do, do, do, do, do.
[00:48:22] That's it.
[00:48:26] That's it.
[00:48:27] That's your microphone.
[00:48:29] I don't know if they can hear you.
[00:48:31] You don't have a microphone.
[00:48:32] But you're close.
[00:48:33] Here, let's sess it.
[00:48:35] Yoni's going to talk.
[00:48:36] Can you hear him?
[00:48:37] I don't want to zoom in.
[00:48:38] You can zoom, but don't bother, honestly.
[00:48:40] Don't bother.
[00:48:41] Don't break anything.
[00:48:44] Let's sess it.
[00:48:45] Yoni can sign it.
[00:48:47] Oh, yeah.
[00:48:48] I can hear you.
[00:48:48] I can hear you.
[00:48:50] OK, so the microphone can pick up in a radius.
[00:48:53] So even if I'm like right next to you like this, or...
[00:48:59] What do you mean, no lease?
[00:49:00] We don't even leave anything.
[00:49:02] We don't even leave anything.
[00:49:03] We don't even leave anything.
[00:49:04] Yeah.
[00:49:04] Is this an active train?
[00:49:16] This what is that?
[00:49:18] Legend.
[00:49:19] Mind the gap, my bad.
[00:49:22] Sorry.
[00:49:23] Sorry.
[00:49:24] My fault.
[00:49:25] My fault.
[00:49:26] Now we wait.
[00:49:27] The problem is right now, everybody in LA is waking up and we're getting hit up
[00:49:34] left and right on work and you're trying to work and you're going to work and work the
[00:49:38] camera I got you well listen we'll only be live for like we're basically going to go get
[00:49:45] to London and just kind of walk around a little bit and then once we go to dinner and then
[00:49:48] yeah basically cut off before we go to dinner and that's it visit Hogwarts visit oh yeah
[00:49:53] wait that's an English thing there is there's a Hogwarts thing I've been to the Hogwarts
[00:49:58] like oh you can go to a studio or go to what's that that is an English thing platform
[00:50:03] two and a half or whatever is what they run into the wall was that here yeah that's it
[00:50:07] that's it no it's that Kings Cross oh it's it's not English we're on the screen do we just don't bring up
[00:50:16] Oh boy.
[00:50:18] Oh boy.
[00:50:20] She can listen to me.
[00:50:22] Right, right, right, right.
[00:50:24] Right, right, right, right.
[00:50:26] We're not going into detail.
[00:50:28] Why did we do that last two days?
[00:50:30] Oh yeah, we have been in...
[00:50:32] Lots of meetings.
[00:50:34] We've been in Bramble.
[00:50:36] The different disciplines,
[00:50:38] because I think that's what's different about this project,
[00:50:40] is typically when streamers do this kind of thing,
[00:50:42] it's kind of like a few months before the project
[00:50:44] goes live it's like hey play our game and give us feedback on what you like
[00:50:48] whereas this is genuinely from yeah from the beginning from the beginning
[00:50:52] yeah I don't even know we've been working on it for three years three years
[00:51:14] I mean, when Chris reached out to me, it feels like that was four years ago.
[00:51:26] Yeah.
[00:51:27] We worked on live 2019.
[00:51:29] Yeah.
[00:51:30] Chris, you reached out to me in, I think it was 2019.
[00:51:33] Yeah, it's a long time ago.
[00:51:34] Maybe, I don't know.
[00:51:35] But it doesn't matter.
[00:51:36] It was like five years, four years.
[00:51:38] Yeah, yeah, so four years me and Chris got together to make a game and now three years ago
[00:51:51] I splashed damage picked up that game pretty much
[00:51:56] And now yeah, we started working with them three years ago from from ground zero from the very beginning is a train
[00:52:02] This is not our training. It's a slow rate. Next one
[00:52:05] This is a slower train
[00:52:08] They'll never know.
[00:52:10] Interesting.
[00:52:14] Alright, the next train is ours, I guess.
[00:52:16] Well yeah, to carry on that.
[00:52:18] Are you trying to zoom in?
[00:52:22] Departure.
[00:52:24] Look at the name of this language. Orpington.
[00:52:26] I'm going to Orpington.
[00:52:28] Papa, can I go to Ramsgate, please?
[00:52:30] Ramsgate.
[00:52:32] I'm going to Ramsgate via Orpington.
[00:52:34] The Rams.
[00:52:36] You're familiar with the Rams because of your hometown
[00:52:38] Yeah, I thought what teams called around there when they opened the stadium and the queen opened it
[00:52:46] Yeah
[00:52:50] What was it like
[00:52:53] Well, do you kind of form this massive line if she kind of walks along and just kind of like she shakes hands with some people like
[00:52:59] Did she know you were like
[00:53:08] I was like working in the chimney or some shit, but yeah, and then she went out onto the football pitch with like these big
[00:53:16] parasitizers and cut like a ribbon thing and everyone went mad.
[00:53:19] The realms.
[00:53:20] The realms.
[00:53:21] Yeah.
[00:53:22] That's what was in the world.
[00:53:23] RIP.
[00:53:24] To the Queen.
[00:53:25] To the Queen.
[00:53:26] Well, one time, one of the people here made his first visit a few years ago.
[00:53:29] I guess I don't know.
[00:53:30] He landed here in London for a day after.
[00:53:34] Yeah, that was Hannah's first visit to the UK.
[00:53:37] his first visit and it was just yeah it was it was a weird vibe for sure yeah
[00:53:50] yeah the culture is very different for sure
[00:53:56] We kind of stopped off the Queen, but yeah.
[00:53:58] What do you think of the current Queen?
[00:54:00] Actually, let's not talk about it.
[00:54:02] Let's see. The Queen's doing great.
[00:54:04] The Queen is coping.
[00:54:06] The Queen is great. Distract them with the dog.
[00:54:08] You're a dog. You're a dog. It's a Tuesday.
[00:54:10] Tuesday.
[00:54:12] What day is it? Today is Wednesday.
[00:54:14] Yeah.
[00:54:16] Today is Wednesday, Ethan. These guys landlord Sunday night.
[00:54:20] Monday night.
[00:54:22] Monday night.
[00:54:24] Boy
[00:54:27] Four-day work we have
[00:54:30] Flash damage four-day weeks
[00:54:36] It's on the side
[00:54:40] Jail I can't be so hard at this time like seven
[00:54:47] And then we just got to go right back and then fight fight jet lag again
[00:54:51] Yeah, that's true. That's true. I've fought jet lag before. It's all good.
[00:55:09] Yeah, it's a quick trip.
[00:55:13] So many trains. So many people. So many people. Sorry. My bad. My bad.
[00:55:24] Trying to not be in the way and end up being in the way. Of course.
[00:55:28] We're going to stand right in the middle. Do not move.
[00:55:32] Typical American. Canadian. Canadian. Canadian.
[00:55:35] I think you're going to everything.
[00:55:38] When I'm in America, I say I'm American. When I'm here, I say I'm Canadian.
[00:55:42] Yeah, it's got really good to have.
[00:55:49] End of work.
[00:55:52] Yeah.
[00:55:54] Is this our train?
[00:55:56] This is our train. Beautiful.
[00:55:58] Make sure we face the direction we're going to.
[00:56:01] I don't think I really get motion sickness on our train.
[00:56:06] But sometimes, maybe.
[00:56:08] I was on this train last time, last time we were here in the UK.
[00:56:11] I took the train.
[00:56:12] I turn the train with Hannah.
[00:56:14] Let's see how the service is on the train, you know?
[00:56:20] Yeah, I mean, I'm sure when we go through like a tunnel
[00:56:22] or something, it might drop service.
[00:56:23] So be prepared for the service to maybe drop.
[00:56:26] I don't know.
[00:56:29] But yeah, we're going in, I guess.
[00:56:36] We grab inside.
[00:56:45] Should I sit next to Chris?
[00:56:46] Yeah, both mics.
[00:56:48] I don't think the mic's really echo off each other.
[00:56:50] I don't think it will be fine.
[00:56:51] Yeah.
[00:56:52] We're going to the country side?
[00:56:54] Yes.
[00:56:56] We're just going to angle it this way
[00:56:58] so that we don't get any unnecessary passengers.
[00:57:03] Does this train do any loops?
[00:57:06] What?
[00:57:08] Yeah.
[00:57:09] Maybe that's another helicopter.
[00:57:10] So that's a train.
[00:57:16] Yeah, the mics are really good.
[00:57:18] Yeah, the mics are good.
[00:57:20] I think we got this mic set up from, uh...
[00:57:23] Chens getting killed in his...
[00:57:24] Oh.
[00:57:26] I think we got the mic set up from, uh...
[00:57:29] NMP.
[00:57:29] I think NMP suggested it, or used it once, and then someone else used it, and
[00:57:34] everybody's using it.
[00:57:35] NMP's like the king of the tech stuff.
[00:57:38] He does so many other girls.
[00:57:39] Yeah, he's like the king of it.
[00:57:41] I think he just loves setting it up, you know?
[00:57:44] Shroud's in his chair, yeah, that's true.
[00:57:51] See how it does in this tunnel?
[00:57:52] Well, it's not really a tunnel, but it's like weird that I want to talk because we're on a train, but like, but I have to talk because I'm live.
[00:58:08] It's going to bounce back and forth, because we'll be in a tunnel and we'll be in a tunnel.
[00:58:14] No, yeah, it doesn't drop shrimp.
[00:58:15] You could know you could that is a tripod so it could pop it open, but then you then it might say my name might I might fall
[00:58:24] though right and then you could I think you have to hold this button this button right here and then you tilt like that
[00:58:39] Have you seen train of Busan I have seen train to Busan. Yeah, it was good. It's so good. Have you seen it?
[00:58:46] Korean zombies
[00:58:56] The agent kind comes up to the good games guy. Oh, yeah, the guy must be
[00:59:02] Aren't they looking at another one or is that big deal?
[00:59:09] It looks cool
[00:59:16] Korean customers?
[00:59:17] Yes, I haven't seen it.
[00:59:18] Korean customers?
[00:59:19] It's the best.
[00:59:20] The best.
[00:59:21] The best.
[00:59:22] You only get to work now while holding the camera?
[00:59:25] I'm checking to make sure there's nothing on fire.
[00:59:28] Off the rails?
[00:59:29] Yeah.
[00:59:30] I think we're okay.
[00:59:31] Yeah.
[00:59:32] Have you worked physical 100?
[00:59:33] I have.
[00:59:34] It's not, but okay.
[00:59:35] It's so good.
[00:59:36] I like physical 100.
[00:59:38] Someone said go to Piccadilly service and go to Shoryo Ramen Shop.
[00:59:43] Well, we're not going to be there long enough to do that, but maybe next time.
[00:59:47] Where's Piccadilly?
[00:59:49] It's like another stop. It's a very thirsty area.
[00:59:53] There's a lot of American candy shops, which is really random to me.
[00:59:56] Is that where the Big Eminem store is?
[00:59:58] I think so.
[00:59:59] It's a war crime, that store. It's horrendous.
[01:00:02] I think Piccadilly Circus is probably a town store.
[01:00:07] It's a bit of a tourist trap.
[01:00:13] I think it's massive M&M stores like the candy, like the lemon.
[01:00:22] They have one in Vegas.
[01:00:23] It's got like a massive 100 foot M&M dude on the front there.
[01:00:27] And it's like three stories.
[01:00:29] How many M&M's do you think?
[01:00:30] I think there's three stories.
[01:00:31] So that if you spend enough time in there,
[01:00:33] you realize how much of a time you could jump
[01:00:35] from the first four and seven.
[01:00:37] You can get off the special store
[01:00:38] like the exclusive containers.
[01:00:41] Or you can get your own mix of M&M.
[01:00:43] You get personal mix of M&M.
[01:00:44] Is this a hashtag app?
[01:00:45] No.
[01:00:47] It's an atrocity.
[01:00:49] I've never seen that.
[01:00:51] And this is a Piccadilly Circus?
[01:00:53] Yeah, but there's also one in Vegas.
[01:00:55] I feel like I've been there, but I've never...
[01:00:57] You'd remember.
[01:00:59] It leaves a scar.
[01:01:01] It leaves a scar.
[01:01:03] There's no way it's actually 100 feet.
[01:01:05] It's like a huge...
[01:01:07] It's a big boy.
[01:01:09] It's at least a story talk.
[01:01:11] And it's huge.
[01:01:13] Yeah
[01:01:15] You'd be max level in TNL by now. I'm already max level. Hello. I
[01:01:19] Actually did bring my laptop to play Throne of Liberty
[01:01:22] I was playing a little bit just to make sure I participate in a couple wars couple world bosses
[01:01:27] The laptop is nice. They'll make your mid-year laptop
[01:01:29] I was thinking about even if I had time using this backpack and then streaming myself playing
[01:01:34] Throne of Liberty, but that's only if I have time.
[01:01:38] Streaming myself playing Throne of Liberty from the hotel, but
[01:01:40] You could put the camera looking at the laptop with the game and then a mirror on the table next to it for your face
[01:01:46] It'll be like a stream in a stream
[01:01:48] I have a question for you. How many seconds was it?
[01:01:50] I'm gonna hit with your leg
[01:03:45] Fast
[01:03:47] Fast and furious
[01:03:49] America
[01:03:51] Who was that?
[01:03:53] Weebag
[01:03:55] Yeah, it was a long tunnel
[01:03:57] Long tunnel
[01:03:59] My stream is probably like so
[01:04:01] My stream is probably so confused, this format.
[01:04:04] Why are you lying? Why is it in my time? What's going on?
[01:04:07] Yeah, they're probably so confused.
[01:04:09] As I think about, like, we talked about it before with content creators,
[01:04:12] when people watch people's streams, they want to watch the content creator
[01:04:15] in the space that they're used to seeing.
[01:04:18] So, like, people seeing this stream are probably, like, what is happening.
[01:04:22] And they're probably so, like, almost uncomfortable. They're like, this is weird.
[01:04:26] Well, get comfortable with it.
[01:04:28] Yeah. Yeah. It is really early too in N.A., right? Yeah, my stream is not live at 10 usually.
[01:04:39] Do you have your phone? I do have my phone. Why? I got everything.
[01:04:44] Oh, I think we cut off before the question asked you.
[01:04:47] You cut off before the question? Yeah, I remember that. How many seconds was it before you set your hotel on fire?
[01:04:52] Oh, we missed the whole story. People only got the story.
[01:04:55] Long story short, Mike plugged something in immediately and it exploded at all the sides.
[01:05:00] It didn't add it.
[01:05:01] It was a bad dramatic.
[01:05:02] He barely made it.
[01:05:04] He just plugged something in and it just popped.
[01:05:11] I think we're going to London real quick just an hour away.
[01:05:13] We're just not going to be mad.
[01:05:15] Why would you do that?
[01:05:22] Yeah.
[01:05:23] And at the moment, I'm over the top.
[01:05:26] It's a good idea to show you that what you do with the team.
[01:05:31] Yeah, yeah, we can we unfortunately can't show anything. Yes, but soon soon TM is what I always say
[01:05:43] Oh, yeah, for sure
[01:05:45] The light on shrouds Mike needs to be pointed towards now. Oh, it works like that
[01:05:52] Oh, oh that is the mic
[01:05:55] Yeah. I feel like if it wasn't working well we would have had one.
[01:05:59] Yeah, it was pointed this way. Good call, chatter. Good comms. Good comms on that, yeah.
[01:06:05] Flash damage, flash damage just put this studio that we're making a game with.
[01:06:16] Making a game with, yeah. Huge. Huge. Huge game. Massive game.
[01:06:20] What else did they work on?
[01:06:22] What else did they work on? Well, it would be the most recent, most recent would probably be Dirty Bomb, if I had to guess.
[01:06:27] guess I mean like most recent their own IP their own IP like they've been they've
[01:06:35] been doing a lot of like work for higher stuff but their own their own IP most
[01:06:40] recent would have been dirty but yeah but they worked on gears of war they
[01:06:52] They worked on Halo that's right. Yeah they did work on a Batman.
[01:06:57] Yeah they have a large portfolio with a lot of, they've, like Splash Gaming just probably
[01:07:03] touched a lot of games that you guys have played.
[01:07:06] You may not even know. You may not even know. Yeah they've worked on a lot of games. Like
[01:07:11] we just named.
[01:07:12] And what's cool is when we were introduced to new people not before it's like, oh this
[01:07:16] is Stone Slayer, she's been the head engineer at Splash for like 20 years.
[01:07:20] Yeah, so it's not like they've built up a massive talented technical base
[01:07:25] Which is really refreshing because then when we talk about game features. Oh, we'd like this we'd like that
[01:07:28] This engineers there immediately like oh, we're figuring out how to do that. So it's super sure
[01:07:34] Yep
[01:07:37] Long the works are we're not tunneling in
[01:07:40] It's too dark to say anything.
[01:07:48] Manchester now, if you're Manchester.
[01:07:50] We have not crossed the river.
[01:07:52] When the gunshot stopped, then we'd be Birmingham.
[01:07:55] And then, a little bit after that, we're in sanctuary.
[01:07:59] Birmingham.
[01:08:01] Birmingham.
[01:08:04] I've been to Birmingham, Burmese, Birmingham.
[01:08:07] You're always quiet, are you?
[01:08:09] Chris, what is the most British thing?
[01:08:13] What's the most British thing?
[01:08:15] Just a general? A period British thing?
[01:08:18] Dental car? No, that can't be right.
[01:08:20] Terrific.
[01:08:22] I'm a naval warfare? I don't know.
[01:08:28] What is the most British thing?
[01:08:30] What's the most British thing in the universe?
[01:08:32] Yorkshire pudding.
[01:08:35] What is that?
[01:08:37] That's our contribution to society.
[01:08:41] Is that like a turnip or a denture?
[01:08:43] No, it's kind of like batter that's in the shape of like a cup and then you have it with
[01:08:48] a meal that's like usually...
[01:08:50] Is that a cup shape?
[01:08:53] Traditionally they're quite small but you can actually get them to be the plate of
[01:08:56] your meal and then you put meat, vegetables, gravy.
[01:08:58] I see no Yorkshire pudding like burrito basically.
[01:09:00] Yeah, essentially, yeah.
[01:09:01] They're so good.
[01:09:02] Where they put the roast meal.
[01:09:03] What is it made of?
[01:09:04] It's like flour, egg, milk I think.
[01:09:06] Yorkshire pudding? Yeah. It's flour. It's not a sweet thing. It's a sweet thing. It's a sweet thing.
[01:09:11] Think like butter. Almost like a crepe or a Dutch baby. A Dutch baby?
[01:09:16] A Dutch baby. A Dutch baby. A Dutch baby.
[01:09:18] Y'all lost me. I'm lost. This is a super way. Y'all lost me.
[01:09:22] I'll pull up. Can we get it? Yeah.
[01:09:27] What's the most American? What's the most American?
[01:09:30] What's the most American? What's the most American?
[01:09:32] These are like the small bears. Eagle wings?
[01:09:35] This is a chimney.
[01:09:37] Oh.
[01:09:38] They're the best.
[01:09:39] They're the best.
[01:09:41] That's not pudding.
[01:09:42] I know.
[01:09:43] That's a pastry.
[01:09:44] They have weird names.
[01:09:45] They have weird names.
[01:09:46] It's like a bread.
[01:09:47] It is a bread.
[01:09:48] They also call chips fries.
[01:09:51] Crisps.
[01:09:52] We call fries.
[01:09:53] We call crisps chips and they call chips fries.
[01:09:57] Yeah.
[01:09:58] We call chips fries.
[01:09:59] Another weird thing with pudding.
[01:10:01] I don't know if it's just me.
[01:10:03] Do you like to call all desserts puddings like oh, what's for pudding and then it means you could have apple pie you could have anything
[01:10:09] I lived in Japan for a while and I met someone and we had a meal and they were like
[01:10:14] Oh, what do you want to do for dessert something like oh for pudding and they're like, oh
[01:10:17] I know a pudding place and we walked across Japan for like an hour and I actually don't like
[01:10:22] the dessert pudding
[01:10:24] I meant the words that I meant the word dessert as in a dessert I would like and we walked for like an hour to a
[01:10:29] pudding shop she's like this is the only pudding place in Japan I was like I don't
[01:10:33] like pudding she's like what do you want about and I explained no no pudding
[01:10:36] me dessert like an apple pie something she's like where we came from the
[01:10:39] double price it's like we call fizzy drinks pop yeah so yeah in America it depends where you are
[01:10:46] they have different names some people call pop some people talk some people
[01:10:50] call it Coca Cola. Like any brand of drink. Do you call it Soda? Soda pops? I'm not a
[01:11:02] single person. I don't think I met a single person that calls soda coke all soda. It's
[01:11:09] like a Georgia. Yeah, that's a Southern. From Texas. You're like, do you want a Coke?
[01:11:15] I got to try it.
[01:11:16] And they also call ketchup catsup or something in Georgia?
[01:11:20] I thought that was British.
[01:11:22] No?
[01:11:23] I got tomato sauce.
[01:11:24] Maybe in Louisiana.
[01:11:25] It's just about what you call it, tomato sauce.
[01:11:27] Tomato sauce.
[01:11:28] Tomato sauce.
[01:11:29] Would you call ketchup tomato sauce?
[01:11:30] Tomato sauce.
[01:11:31] Yeah, if you're at a chip, yeah, yeah.
[01:11:32] You've just sent tomato sauce?
[01:11:33] Yeah, if you've just sent tomato sauce, man.
[01:11:34] But then he's sent to Americans and they think you've been late.
[01:11:35] Tomato sauce and brown sauce.
[01:11:36] Yeah.
[01:11:37] What is brown sauce?
[01:11:38] Pragy.
[01:11:39] I don't know.
[01:11:40] I think it's fake sauce.
[01:11:41] I think it's fake sauce.
[01:11:42] I don't know.
[01:11:43] It's like a spicy...
[01:11:47] Is it like a spiced sauce?
[01:11:50] Yeah, kind of.
[01:11:52] It's like peppered spicy.
[01:11:54] It's not actually spicy.
[01:11:57] It's not actually spicy.
[01:11:59] It's not brown.
[01:12:02] It's not brown.
[01:12:04] It's musty.
[01:12:08] Just UK things.
[01:12:10] Oh, which British that?
[01:12:12] We've got London Bridge or Cowell Bridge?
[01:12:15] No, I don't think so.
[01:12:16] Is it any of the fancy ones?
[01:12:17] The Bromley Bridge.
[01:12:18] That's in the Battersea.
[01:12:19] Battersea.
[01:12:20] Oh, yeah, that's right, yeah.
[01:12:21] We just crossed the river.
[01:12:22] Oh, I don't know what you're talking about.
[01:12:23] I mean, what are you doing over here?
[01:12:25] Uh, not ahead.
[01:12:26] Not ahead.
[01:12:27] Not ahead.
[01:12:28] I'm playing Pogo.
[01:12:29] I'm just kidding.
[01:12:30] I'm just kidding.
[01:12:31] I'm all in there.
[01:12:32] She's getting way approachable.
[01:12:33] Well, you're playing Pokemon though?
[01:12:34] Yeah.
[01:12:35] That's still a thing.
[01:12:36] Yeah.
[01:12:37] They added a bunch of new stuff to it.
[01:12:38] Wait, do you get UK Pokemon or Pokemon though?
[01:12:40] Yeah.
[01:12:41] It's a cute thing.
[01:12:43] They got exclusive.
[01:12:45] Oh, that's why.
[01:12:47] So I got pink things.
[01:12:49] What's your most powerful or rare Pokemon?
[01:12:51] Uh, okay.
[01:12:53] Is that pay to win?
[01:12:55] Because if you could travel the world, you'd get better Pokemon.
[01:12:57] They're just different.
[01:12:59] That's what pay to win players say.
[01:13:01] It's just different. Trust me, I know all about pay to win.
[01:13:03] You smut the shiny...
[01:13:05] Do you like this one shiny?
[01:13:10] This is old.
[01:13:12] What would it be?
[01:13:13] It's normal color.
[01:13:14] Oh, yeah, that's good.
[01:13:17] Is this like a L'Occitane 2018?
[01:13:20] But that's normal color.
[01:13:22] And then this is the shiny color.
[01:13:24] You got shiny Pokemon?
[01:13:26] Yeah, it's sparkling.
[01:13:29] Is this us?
[01:13:31] Not quite.
[01:13:34] Where are we?
[01:13:36] It was direct service.
[01:13:38] It's concerning nobody knows. Where are we? We're in France. Are we in like a tunnel right now? No.
[01:13:49] This is open? Yeah. Looks like a tunnel. This is crazy. Was this like the main? No, no, no, no. No, this is the main station.
[01:13:58] Dude, the main station. Yeah, I'm not sure where it is. We just walked 15 minutes and then go a couple minutes later.
[01:14:03] We could just go straight there. I'm already live for like an hour. I know I'm hungry. I don't care.
[01:14:11] Okay, damn.
[01:14:13] I love you, Jet.
[01:14:15] Yeah.
[01:14:17] We're here. We're made it.
[01:14:19] Unless there's something close that's cool that we could walk to.
[01:14:23] Well, Buckingham Palace is about 10 minutes.
[01:14:26] Oh, no.
[01:14:28] What's your favorite American Palace?
[01:14:30] You can go there and walk back.
[01:14:32] Yeah.
[01:14:33] Just do the little, is it 10 minutes before he found us from that?
[01:14:36] You can get the scooter, lady.
[01:14:37] No, that's dangerous, we're not scooters.
[01:14:39] No, we're not scooters.
[01:14:40] Do you not know the story?
[01:14:42] No, yeah, I can't.
[01:14:43] Oh, he's 50 minutes away.
[01:14:47] No, wait, we don't need this, wait, wait, wait.
[01:14:48] He rode a scooter, went flying off of it, busted his elbow.
[01:14:52] You only had to take him to the hospital.
[01:14:54] That's true.
[01:14:55] I bled on his car, in his car.
[01:14:58] We, with the cast on, was screaming, playing.
[01:15:00] I did, I did believe in his car.
[01:15:02] you're really under the cast on the rain with so much under playing it was about
[01:15:06] come on you could see the bone but it wasn't if you see the bonus that's the
[01:15:11] rule is that a general rule of thumb when you're if you can see the bonus
[01:15:15] back you don't need a point on me all right now you can point on me yeah we
[01:15:24] could just I don't want to like show where we're going to dinner but we
[01:15:29] You could just walk a little bit more.
[01:15:31] Crispy green.
[01:15:33] Crispy green.
[01:15:35] The station's cool. I don't know if I've been to this one.
[01:15:39] Oh, we have?
[01:15:41] Oh, yeah. I know the station.
[01:15:45] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[01:15:47] All right.
[01:15:50] Bet.
[01:15:52] Is this where we're going?
[01:15:54] This is our way?
[01:15:56] If you have a swipe for you, you need to swipe again.
[01:15:58] Any needs a swipe for me?
[01:16:01] Sorry, I'm going to point on the ground again real quick.
[01:16:02] Sorry, I don't want to leak any phones.
[01:16:08] All right, we're good.
[01:16:10] Sorry.
[01:16:12] All right, we're good.
[01:16:13] We're back.
[01:16:14] How does it feel being a camera man?
[01:16:16] How does it feel?
[01:16:18] What's that?
[01:16:19] Did you used to be a camera man?
[01:16:20] We need to wait for the gang.
[01:16:21] Hold up.
[01:16:22] We need to wait for the gang so we know where we're going.
[01:16:24] Yeah, we can wait.
[01:16:25] We can wait.
[01:16:25] We can go to the corner here.
[01:16:27] We can wait.
[01:16:30] We know how far our dinner is from here.
[01:16:32] Five or ten minutes.
[01:16:33] Five or ten minutes?
[01:16:34] Okay.
[01:16:36] Maybe we walk for a few minutes and I just cut it off so we don't directly go to dinner,
[01:16:41] I guess.
[01:16:42] Okay.
[01:16:43] Sure.
[01:16:47] You're going to try to do this?
[01:16:49] The side angle?
[01:16:51] Okay.
[01:16:52] It's your best side.
[01:16:53] What?
[01:16:54] Oh, wait, what?
[01:16:55] What's that made of?
[01:16:56] True.
[01:16:57] Yeah.
[01:16:58] I'm a follower, not a leader.
[01:17:02] Oh my god, my damn pants, man.
[01:17:06] You mean your trousers.
[01:17:08] My trousers.
[01:17:09] Oh, this is pretty.
[01:17:11] Cool little walkway.
[01:17:13] Culture, I think.
[01:17:15] I don't know.
[01:17:16] I don't know.
[01:17:18] This might not be culture.
[01:17:20] I mean, yeah, like, there's some beautiful buildings out there.
[01:17:23] Yeah.
[01:17:24] You're actually, the name of the palace is actually quite long.
[01:17:27] Yeah, this is really cool looking actually.
[01:17:30] I think I've been here. I just don't remember it. I've been to the UK a lot of times in my ears
[01:17:39] But I have the worst memory I think I'm gonna get old and I'm gonna what's it called when you forget stuff all-timers
[01:17:45] I think I'm gonna get I think I'm gonna get that
[01:17:48] all-timers
[01:17:50] My memory is so bad now
[01:17:52] We get what that's pretty cool
[01:17:56] I have, I've solved it.
[01:17:58] There's a movie coming out, it's it.
[01:17:59] Is this a new, is this a new play?
[01:18:02] No, it's not.
[01:18:03] I saw, I saw the old Wicked like 20 years ago.
[01:18:06] In the English version, we use real witches.
[01:18:09] Huh?
[01:18:10] So.
[01:18:11] What does that mean?
[01:18:12] Like they do magic?
[01:18:13] Yeah.
[01:18:14] They take you around and collect ginger people and put them in shacks.
[01:18:17] That's wicked, bro.
[01:18:20] It's funny, because before the internet, stuff like that, like you said, probably
[01:18:23] spread like wildfire.
[01:18:24] Right.
[01:18:25] like that's not true. This is cool. I'm following you guys. I don't know it's hard to see. That's
[01:18:34] where Mike's staying. Are you buying this? Are you moving? Yeah. Yeah. In fact, I already
[01:18:41] bought it.
[01:18:43] We are at Escrow, yeah.
[01:18:46] But how cool would it be to have the Avengers Tower somewhere, you know?
[01:18:51] You just look up, you see the Avengers level up.
[01:18:54] Yeah, just look.
[01:18:55] God, I love Marvel.
[01:18:56] That is crazy.
[01:18:57] The bus is everywhere.
[01:18:58] Is this like a bus station too?
[01:18:59] Yes.
[01:19:00] It looks like one.
[01:19:03] It's a hub.
[01:19:04] It's a hub.
[01:19:05] Transport hub, yeah, I'd say.
[01:19:06] That's cool.
[01:19:07] You get a lot of it.
[01:19:08] Call it hubs.
[01:19:09] Yeah.
[01:19:10] It's a hub.
[01:19:11] It's a hub.
[01:19:12] It's a hub.
[01:19:13] It's a hub.
[01:19:14] It's a hub.
[01:19:15] We'll probably walk for a few more minutes and probably cut it off because we're about
[01:19:21] to be at dinner.
[01:19:22] Dinner reservation is a few minutes away.
[01:19:26] What is the backpack?
[01:19:30] Let's take a peek.
[01:19:31] The backpack's at, the backpack actually has a lot more life than I thought.
[01:19:34] Technically, technically we could go for another, probably an hour and a half maybe
[01:19:39] more.
[01:19:40] But it has a backup battery that I didn't bring, so obviously I didn't think I'd be
[01:19:43] live that long and it's only been about an hour I'm guessing about an hour hot
[01:19:51] it's not getting hot or the backpack yeah no it's not gonna get it's also cool
[01:19:55] outside too right okay so we're just gonna hang it hanging out here got it
[01:20:03] that's a cool little restaurant the shakes there look fancy a little
[01:20:09] restaurant up there yeti
[01:20:12] I'm sure you're straight from
[01:20:15] I'm shaking
[01:20:21] yeah
[01:20:24] oh boy
[01:20:30] doggy
[01:20:32] you were technically rivals
[01:20:34] how far is Darby?
[01:20:37] in the car
[01:20:40] so you guys just take trains everywhere
[01:20:43] everywhere yeah yeah he looked at me yeah obviously we take trades everywhere
[01:20:59] in case you guys are wondering on stream we're not throwing the camera at other people in case
[01:21:03] they don't want to be on stream in a typical environment you'd probably be like if you were
[01:21:08] We're a cameraman whipping every single person, but I mean, I don't want to intrude or show
[01:21:13] anyone.
[01:21:14] Oh yeah, we're talking to them.
[01:21:15] I'm just saying, that's why you're not whipping the camera around.
[01:21:17] We have people that might not want to be on camera.
[01:21:21] Do you have a friend?
[01:21:25] Yeah, what up?
[01:21:30] Yeah.
[01:21:31] Yeah.
[01:21:38] No problem, nice to meet you.
[01:21:39] Yeah, no problem, guys.
[01:21:44] Hey, I didn't say that, my chat there.
[01:21:47] I walk past one, the first person we walk past
[01:21:49] someone said it in chat, like how crazy.
[01:21:54] I feel like chat is always so extra.
[01:21:58] Well, chat in general is just so extra.
[01:22:04] There's a lot of iterations of Mike in short term.
[01:22:07] From Shader Mike to MMO Mike to MMO Mike, now we're IRL Mike.
[01:22:13] Yeah.
[01:22:13] Yeah.
[01:22:15] We know we're in fact IRL.
[01:22:23] Yeah, a lot of people are there now.
[01:22:25] Yeah.
[01:22:26] Cool to learn that.
[01:22:27] There's a little park over there.
[01:22:28] I think we've walked through that park last time we were here back there.
[01:22:32] When we were here last is when they shut down all the cities where the Queens were.
[01:22:37] Yeah, that's true.
[01:22:38] The last time we were here, this whole city was pretty much, the whole city was at morning
[01:22:43] and it was pretty much just, everything was locked down and, yeah.
[01:22:48] Obviously, when I finally go, the lockdown, all of Darby, both streets.
[01:22:56] It was definitely a weird vibe for sure.
[01:23:03] Like if that happened to, like what would happen if that happened in like America or
[01:23:09] something like I would never I don't even know what the reaction would be right
[01:23:12] I don't know who would be the person but yeah to see everybody in one whole city
[01:23:18] I think Keanu Reeves Keanu Reeves? Wait, he's Canadian. Oh Tom Hanks. If Tom Hanks went, I think the whole world is in Keanu Reeves.
[01:23:26] He is right. Tom Hanks. I don't think he's American. I swear he's Canadian. He is? I swear. I'm claiming him. I swear he's Canadian.
[01:23:34] I think he is Canadian. I'm pretty sure I'm claiming him. Tom Hanks is Canadian.
[01:23:37] Yeah, not Tom Hanks, but who cares Tom Hanks is for boomers, bro
[01:23:44] That's true
[01:23:54] So you guys
[01:24:03] I'm assuming we're probably gonna get close here because it's not that far of a walk so I don't know if we
[01:24:08] kind of
[01:24:09] Want to just end it and call it. Yeah, I think we just call it quits. I think now because we're gonna get there soon
[01:24:19] But yeah, I don't want to
[01:24:21] I don't know. I don't know if I don't know if there's any final words
[01:24:24] Maybe final thoughts. I don't know how long it's been but to the people that have been here watching vibing
[01:24:31] Appreciate you guys. I know this was kind of
[01:24:33] Random and out of nowhere
[01:24:35] Uh, yeah, it was fun, short-lived, but fun.
[01:24:39] Thank you, Chris, for being there.
[01:24:41] Maybe we should do one each day with him.
[01:24:43] Yeah, no, I want, that's why I did this this time.
[01:24:45] I did this stream as like a test to be like,
[01:24:47] okay, let's just get it out of the way.
[01:24:49] Let's learn from it and see if we want to do it again
[01:24:51] and see if it's for my, like, kind of fits me
[01:24:54] and fits like what I want to do.
[01:24:56] And I mean, it's cool, it's a vibe, it's different.
[01:24:58] I enjoy it.
[01:24:59] I don't think it's chill.
[01:25:00] Yeah, everyone's chill.
[01:25:01] So yeah, definitely going to do more IRL stuff
[01:25:03] in the future. Probably the next one is going to be Disneyland at the end of the month.
[01:25:07] But, yeah, thank you to Chat for being here. We're probably going to close it here since
[01:25:11] we're getting close to a restaurant. Thank you to Splash Damage for obviously letting
[01:25:15] me showcase and show the bottom floor and talk to some people on stream. That's cool.
[01:25:21] Thank you to Chris.
[01:25:22] Hello.
[01:25:23] Any final things?
[01:25:24] Any final things?
[01:25:25] Let's go, Queen.
[01:25:26] Yeah, are we good? We're good. I think we're good. We call it there. Hannah,
[01:25:29] if you want, you could cue the end of the stream.
[01:25:31] Thanks, Hannah.
[01:25:32] Thank you, Hannah, you can cue the end, whatever you want, all right?
[01:25:36] Goodbye everybody, goodbye.
