I think the biggest thing that Gohan's taught me in his time coaching us is just to give you a best every day.

the year you know you have 365 days of improvement so it can't go wrong yeah I
think a coach that has playing experience and especially playing
experience at a high level from Brazil is always a bonus I think there's like
a level of understanding that you can get from a coach that's played versus a
coach that hasn't played
That is a big thing that Tert is saying at the end there about the improvement every
single day and they have been putting in that crowd.
We talked about their bootcamp, Tert talked about it in the interview, bootscamping in
the Netherlands.
They wanted to play against the best of the best teams and it's paying off.

I mean, if you look at Tert and what he was saying about Gohan, I think that we have a
proof that Gohan has had a tremendous impact on this roster and in fact, he even went ahead
and gave us a quote about what he thinks of Gohan.
just a coach, the system, he focuses on improving us inside and outside the game.
Nobody works harder than Gohan and inspires us to do the same. It's a
beautiful one and I think it goes to show we always knew APL had potential.
We always knew that Weibo was the best team of APL, but we're just waiting for
that consistency at top international level. Gohan brought that consistency.

I think it's undeniable that Weibo are the best team and it's not just
subjective. We've just seen that in terms of the two, the player and coach
to talk into each other and
it's also objective. So these
are the way both stats from
this tournament so far. They
are the second best attacking
team, the fifth best defending
team, the fifth best team in
terms of team KD and the third
best team are trading each of
her out. So that's such a high
level. They are competing in
the upper echelons of this
tournament as a team from APAC,

the only map where they've struggled attacking on has been consulate where

It's a good sign, they're fighting for the top and so is their opponent because
when we talked about heretics, I spoke to them a little bit yesterday and I said,
well you guys must be happy, you know, making it out of groups and they said no,
we lost. So this team was upset that they lost against the major winners?
They have high expectations of themselves and I just, I can prize them for that
because I was talking to you for a day at breakfast and I was like, you know what,
like you could be topping your group right now if you win. And he's like, yeah, I know,
I expect that. And I was like, you know, no one would have said that at the beginning of this
tournament. And it was like, it gave you a struggle. And it was like, you know what, like,
I actually believe we can do this. Like, we've proved this. Yeah, it's crazy that they went
Toteto yesterday with Romantic. They went Toteto and they feel like they came away from that game
thinking that they should have won. And let's just remind you that these guys, these guys that
that they're attending their
first ever ST event. You know,
three of them flexi you poor
and also flexi you poor and
skeptic. They're attending
the first to your event. Um
they've got such a lack of
experience generally as well.
Tier one matches low. It's only
really grubby. There's
actually bringing relevant
experience to this team. Yeah
lots of these guys have been
playing this game
recreationally rather than
professionally or in amateur
tournaments across a lot of
the year. So the fact that
especially considering it's a group that considers our current major champions is incredible.
What's even more incredible is where they come from. If you think about it, no one wanted Grubby
after he was left from secret. At the same time, you look at Upo, you look at Skeptic, you look at
Flexi. Barely got any trials, barely got any shot at Tier 1. Oscar was dropped for Wolves in the end.
You look at these guys and you think they never gave up. They built a real team and they worked
hard and they made it here. For me, it's the perfect story of Zero to Hero. If you've got passion
hard work you can make it to the biggest stages. It's a beautiful story I mean
and there's so much information on what we will have played so far some
curiosity the map veto see what kind of pixel we brought out for the series
another best of three to show the depth between these two scenes and who can pick
that first spot inside of the group heretics with the first bit it seems
like a behind the shell a yeah I'm not surprised about this it's a map that
they absolutely loved it already showed that this event in fact we will have

The heretics played against them 80 and felt even though they lost that they should have won on I'm a bit scared about club
Assa's a decider. I'm scared for it. It's the reason for this is they lost it to fear X here in this tournament
It's not a good map for them seventh out of ninth preference and at the same time. It's an amazing map for we both
They like it. They played a lot. They've been great teams on it

I was thinking to myself, you know, they'll go here to win a map maybe to maybe win one series
And you know, that's probably gonna be that but they have a good shot right now at going even further
beyond, but on the other side who also has the fan prediction Wabo. It seemed that is the dark horse,
the underdog, but right now they have a very realistic chance at locking in number one in groups
which could be the first time ever for APAC. So I've just gone back through the history books.
The last time APAC were a first place team in a group stage was way back in Sweden. Six
6th Invitational 2022 with Dumb One Gaming, D-Plus Key and now that really are known as.
And that was of course, Woogie Man coded and Rinnstein.
They did get first place in their group, but it has been four years since APAC have
topped a group stage at the 6th Invitational and it will be the second time forever to
have happened in SPI history.

They're the best team at the tournament at converting
when they do find the opening killer, 86%.
So team heretics, starting things off,
taking down a Weibo player early,
you really couldn't ask for a better start here on such an aggressive map of
Shelly. What's more, Skeptic is just hacked so much, you two, with that brava as well.
Oh, that's a crazy fork. I'm not sure that was pre-placed on the window, a
toss start, and a perfect moment, but either way it gets a kill back to a trade.
Heretics, of course, team heretics being, you know, lesser experience coming from
tier two. They're gonna play more default maps, more default attacking defensive
round strats. So I do think I can definitely see them playing at all of
the files to each have better conversions and not take as many risks in the server.
They're obviously playing pretty heavily here in the first round for an execute, right?
Step one, get a bit of map control, step two, get some error, perhaps an ankle for a plant,
or get a flank.

But his impact is insane and it's why he actually has, let me double check the exact number.
