Hello everyone and welcome back to the Nordic Masters Blast Qualifier, where our teams are
competing for the final spot at the showdown. We've got Metsiport taking on TSM of course.
First three rounds have already been played out here as TSM were able to pick up their victory
during a technical issue we had with the stream. So if you are just joining us, don't worry,
you haven't missed the action here. We had a problem with our encode up. We've got everything
back up and running now but the opening pistol round was won by TSM following that point forward
they've gone on to take the following two rounds and let's report finally get a buy on their CT side
so let's see what they're able to do now we're back into the flow of things.
Exactly that Jackie we actually got into the good stuff the rifle rounds where both teams
gonna be juking out and see though that even though it was a rifle round is at the lacking
of two players who have Deagles and Q250s and so TSM obviously weathering the storm a little
bit with the previous rifle round as they had a saved MP9 and for mass so it seems like
we have already had a fair bit of bloodshed between these two teams. Of course the first
map did go to Mattisport in a pretty close affair all things considered like TSM will
be bitterly disappointed they couldn't get that one finalised and a lot of early grenade
damage inflicted to Nilo and Popsky. I have to fall back onto the site. Still 55 seconds
left on the timer and TSM looking like they want to hit the B site sooner rather than
later. Nilo's nade could be pretty naughty. If he binds his time and is able to get it
off, with how low some of the T's are, could be really impactful. Thus switch to the
HE, here we go Vince, he's winding up for it. DASH is that bad boy in! Oh it felt
Look it was right on the money, but no connection, no kill.
Sapek at the back of the bombsite goes down to the Famous as well.
And problems are rising here.
CSM seemingly continuing on from their winning streak here on Inferno.
With a lot of damage established, but all their players surviving, barring Niko.
There's Adam B and Lumie, but the only two left forced to try and backpedal.
Lumie needs to get a move on now, especially takes a ton of damage through the smoke.
Yeah, this is kind of a problem that we were painting into players who came into this best of three is it when it comes to inferno
This really is a home map to TSM. It's a map. They're very comfortable with a lot of wins
over the previous three months
Especially this last month when they've had the core there off to change quite considerably
So he felt like that his port had to win Mirage which they did
to book in that three mapper and it's looking like it's going in that direction
to time being. Still early days of the course with those save weapons it is
gonna be a very hefty buy coming up around the corner. There were a couple of
moments I agree with you that looked like that HG had damage written all over it
but it barely scratched the surface. So TSM were able to waltz their way onto
the site about too many problems or incursions falling under their feet.
Let us port now. Curious if we will see a bit of progression from them they
They've got tons of grenades. It's something that we've seen a lot from a lot of other teams like Johnny Speeds, for example, super-aggressive down the long-seated side.
They're trying to mess with their opposition, but it looks like it's more default plays for the time being in this round.
Nice placement of the old crosshair.
He finds the head of Niko on the peek out behind Banana, and does sever Niko from the team once again.
It seems like Niko, he's been getting checked a lot here in his opening in Jules,
but his teammates have been making up the rounds for him.
Finish towards the A site potentially on the card, Salumi.
He's got backup, Vince.
Free man set up towards Quad.
They've got Nades though to fight here.
Try and bait out the peek.
Nilo wants to go in, hits the first head.
They're paranoid about the flank from balcony
and they're reading it right.
Nice shot from Acor, is it enough?
I feel difficult to bypass this crossfire
from Nilo and Adam.
It's gonna feel as if he needs the verticality element
the apps that come in to play, what a shot through the smoke that is.
Sopec winding it back to Mirage where he was a real nuisance.
A real problem.
Adam's hearing the footsteps, pivots in and spins up for a three kill.
And a clean one at that.
They trade up to the AK as well, just a nice little juicy bonus on top.
And that is to get their first bit of success into this one.
See I said plenty of cash though, Jackie.
They can come straight back in with another buy.
I mean, maybe a little bit concerned about how easy that was to let this port for the most part short.
Some of it came down to fortune at timing.
They were never really struggling in this round, machetes.
The round's okay.
Need a whole lot more.
Especially off the back of the fact that they were able to find a win on Mirage.
Even with their IGL, Star Wars and Jacky Nio being out at the server.
For Metis port,
struggling on Inferno and getting run over would be the worst-case scenario.
So, can they build?
Limited utility left to work, we're in terms of the BD fence here.
Loomi's bone dry.
Sapec has the smoke and the flash, but that's it.
No HE, no incendiary to buy time.
TSM are posturing off.
They've left Niko on the lurk with the AWP in his hands.
Bok down because of his low HP.
His woes at the starts of rounds seem to continue.
They've actually stationed one player off.
gonna really bite on this as well with Nico still lurking towards banana but he
can join the Wolfpack. Adam Beavance, he's had big rounds over the course of this
event but you need a gargantuan one here. Oh yeah. That's a dig deep in his pocket, a
box, and it's really magnificent. The path back in, the flashes are just way too good.
Fully blinded, no real hope. Save, it will be a 5-1 lead on top of it. This
was always going to be the concerning elements of it. And I mean another
thing as well if you are just joining us here and you're a bit perplexed of like
how did TSM lose against Metasport when they have a stand-in you know where's
Giacchino he's normally one of their main plays he's their op he's their
ideal well Lumia stepped in and even though he had a really rough first
map the rest of team just managed to carry him ahead and put him into a
successful score but the issue for me here Jack is if Lumia has another rough
day on inferno I just don't see how the rest of them can carry it is
hard like I just don't see that happening twice yes I'm too good on this one
involved with them finding wind striking back to back would be incredibly impressive
but like you say the actual likelihood of it coming to fruition should be slim
it's not as easy to pug it out as well Mirage lends itself to that style
right Inferno it's a whole different ball game and you've not got your brains
the operation when you're struggling to find your AWPer getting into a
position where you can find your speed. How expensive do you all piss on CT side, especially
with a burner, if you're missing your shot, they'll come back to haunt you. Having that
drilled utility usage. Here's the difference between life or death on a CT side setup.
DSM, potentially maybe playing a bit looser. Knowing that if they're as rigid up against
the support team with a SAR bit, it might be harder for them. Gambling again with
a heavy stack towards the B bomb site with Altex being the man defending the rear down
towards underpass at mid.
Minute and ten seconds on the clock, they've got the nades, they can smoke off the angles
and go for the push in, they've got to be baited up for the B bomb siphon trades, oh
the siphon!
That's beautiful, Vince.
Exquisite couple of entries, they were sorely lacking in a lot of areas on Mirage,
two entries into a bomb plant into another save. Familiar territory on inferno here, the CT
side does a lot of saving, both sides super hard to retake especially when there's a lot
of players involved. But at least for Metasport it's a clean save, they just immediately
lose off those two crisp entry frags and it does afford them the luxury of holding
onto this AK AWP M4, keep their money nice and tight across the team.
course Jackie though is I mean you've already hemorrhaged six rounds more than half of this
first half of the map has now been depleted and at best case you can maybe tie up at six of these
but the way in which you've been losing these rounds looks incredibly unlikely so you're
potentially moving into that second half at eight or nine rounds down and that that will
feel like it's as good as done on a map like inferno. Just such a brutal score line to look up at
as well. Every time you're glancing at these overviews, seeing the sheer spree of rounds TSM has
been able to accumulate on the tea side already. Another pour is going to be called in at least.
Just give you a moment of respite to figure out what needs to be changed here. But for Metasport,
how well can you execute the conclusions you come to? Because executing in terms of a
The frag seems to be where the real meat of potatoes of the issues is arising from.
Most of their players here are about two kills average.
Looney struggling to get himself involved with the actual boss, he's been roaming a little
bit more than you are, trying to find his place on the map but hitting those shots, creating
space with the weapon.
It's such a big piece of a puzzle and it's just going wrong for him.
Valde meanwhile bullies again towards the B site, nice use of the nade on the fade.
back down banana you throw that one out vince and it's ruined half the hp off of plopski
oh lumie on the close angle this should be a sitter if altec's fast peeks him and rips his head
off it's probably good night oh mate you would be human oh and adams also gonna bite the dust as a
result of that as well i mean you can see from lumie i'm not trying to look too much into this
one but you normally you're casting a long time and you've watched some of the best and brightest
Orp is on the planet. You can see when someone's not comfortable and you can see he wasn't
why all those micro little mini adjustments he was doing over and over again. He never looked
comfortable in that position. Really confident Orp is a sat there and they're just dialed in.
They're locked in waiting, hoping, anticipating that peak comes around the corner. Lumie just
clearly wasn't fully up to the task. And now Plopsky, you may be trying to retrieve that
up. I'm not sure why he's pushing in this far. There's no hope of clutching this with 46 HP against
three players. So he's going to be saving it 7-1 the scoreline. And I feel like a bit of a broken
record here Jackie, but this is exactly what I expected on Inferno. This is TSM like just
stepping it up multiple notches. On what you could argue is the harder of the sides as well
like the CT side is going to be even more powerful for them once they're on that.
Especially when Metasport happened to kind of acclimate the team with Lumie to potentially
the playbook they want to run on their T-Song, it's not going to be as easy.
Not as quick when you feel the strats.
Yeah, but I agree man, like it's rough.
Because you can see Lumie, you're getting a bit frustrated because there's an AWP on,
there becomes an expiry from the new Furno where it feels like you have to have impact
in that opening kind of flow of the round, where if you're not getting involved you
He starts to think I'll roam a bit more. I'll switch up my playstyle.
I won't just be on B, I'll be towards A.
Now I'll play in apps.
And like you say, he just looks off-kilter, holding the angle.
And then you're even more frustrated.
Because you just get down, and I'll take Swing Z into the one tack.
That's basically your 3D natural sit-up.
And it doesn't connect.
Yet to get himself involved in the action is teammates Kenne bailing out.
Saffet crossed their adjustment good for one gink, but no take-down.
Luckily, Loomi able to strike.
And Siphon is at least traded.
This is better for the CT side.
We've got an advantage now.
4 vs 2 as Loomi punishes again on the repeat towards Valdez.
The first big bad power advantage round we've seen from Metasport in some time.
Yeah, it's good to see Loomi also lighting up the scoreboard, you know?
Always want to see people succeed and not have two rough maps in a row.
So I think they kick it off with the two.
You said that you need to have impact early on in the rounds
and you certainly have batten this one.
They still need to contend with a double A threat of Altecs and Alcor who are coming through on the arch side.
Echel with that AWP is strained in, dialed with misses to shot, narrowly evading it is Milo,
and he will double in for a doubled up round tally.
Metasport get 2, but TSM still miles ahead of them on 7.
The thing is, this isn't stance right now, it's a brutal scoreline.
But, if you're able to get a bit more out of it,
the reason for the 4-5 rounds, squeeze something out.
Take a pistol, it's still anyone's game.
MetaSport have shown that resilience, they come back pretty heavily on their T-sides as well on a lot of maps.
I don't give for a lot of teams right now as well in CS2,
the general flow of the game,
The economy works for CT side, but way peeking kind of leads into willing you to just take
fights and swing.
If Metasport are able to play with some confidence on their teahouse, they could still certainly
write a legacy for themselves here.
It doesn't have to be the B or an end all for them.
They have ancient waiting in the wings if they need to go to a third map.
But a couple rounds for confidence would not hurt.
They certainly wouldn't turn their nose up at them.
B on the back of the bomb site down towards Pip.
Supported with a quartet on the bomb site, Vince.
Everyone's grouping up here.
They left Loomy to do the sole defender of B, expecting the A-Clay.
Uh-oh. Problems arise.
Team kill, providing them opportunity to strike with Plopsky getting two.
Tries to transfer the spray across, but Xyphon bests him.
Bomb goes down.
Loomy, quick on a rotate, arrives towards...
Ooooooh, Library!
But can't hit the shot, Vince.
Has he bought time for Sapec?
He should have, Sapex now making moves up on short, Loomi takes that great flush to the jaw
and Sapex missed his first opportunity, fortunately doesn't double that.
And he will pick up a third. And yeah, you know, we were talking the other day,
I think it was the first day of the tournament, we were discussing it with Anubis when Sashi
were absolutely smashing Ecstatic. And we were looking into the stats, I brought up the HLTV
stats on the map, we're discussing the tea-sidingness of the current game. On Anubis it was
like 55% win rate on the T half 45 on the CT side interestingly on inferno you're actually
right with CS 2 it has changed 51.2% T round wins now at the competitive levels of counter
strike so it is very slightly favored towards the T side. T sides feeling more and more
like it is kind of the promise land really in CS2. It's just the nature of the game as well
in cinderies. It's spread in time now. It's catching up a little bit nearly a year of CS2
come September time. So if things have started to twist and turn in the narrative,
TSM looking for the plant. It's going to be Acre getting a bomb down.
A horrific position though, 1v4.
Ooh, alright.
It's a nice first pick.
Oh, and the movement they've in spacks into the van.
I hope he's got insurance.
Oh, he's cooking for the cleaners.
7-4, the score.
Chance maybe for MetaSport on 5.
It's not easy, it's not easy.
Really interesting, especially in that second pistol.
Nice hold by Adam again.
But they're not very good.
We joined the game at 3-0 and TSM in cruise control
in terms of their finances as well. Forcing Metasport back on their rear foot time after
time. Are you in this? You're already a map to the goods. Used to say they can't. They
could fast-track over to the grand finals where Johnny Speeds are aiding. Early grenades
traded in. Nothing really landing. That's not necessarily required. It has forced TSM
away from Banana and Control now finds its way into Metasport's hands.
This is lips on the fight versus Sapec.
Banana control going to be taken and they're really calling for the quick
rotate as well. You can see Popsky backing off looking for the adjustment
rounds. They've smoked bottom banana.
It seemed like he went back to just drop some nades there and now he's going to
keep on moving. Possibly another smoke towards top banana for
Sapec to re-smoke if he needs to. They're close on Archside.
Loomi would need quick reactions versus Acor.
Oh, but it's Siphon.
Hits that opening pickup.
Takes down Plopskeep.
Loomi trapped between a rock and a hard place, but these were rocks out of guns.
Oh, there we go!
Loomi coming alive with a fast flick.
Highlight real material on that one, but Sapec might have just outplayed him.
I said the footsteps from a mile away, Valda.
You can walk all you want, but you're not going to stop the one tap.
I almost feel like, um, that meme, you know.
I apologize, Loomi. I wasn't familiar with your game.
After that flay, that was sick!
It was really nice to see him come alive in the round, man.
Two of his fans.
He's got the cobwebs off.
I don't know, I suppose that kind of summarizes TSM right now.
A bit of a combat vint, you know, I was saying...
Oh, sorry, not TSM, Metasport, rubber.
I was saying, like, if they get five rounds out of it, you know, fours, fours optimal.
Five rounds, great, considering how the game was going.
Take a pistol round here, but you can basically wipe the...
the peril with the first half completely out of the game. This is a fresh start for them.
No doubt. 100%. My only concern is that TSM typically have a pretty strong CT side,
so if you don't get the pistol, or even if you do, but you flub it and you end up getting broken
down in the second or third round, that's where things I think start to really escalate in terms
of difficulty level. But they at least have their own fate in their own hands for the time
Vald is trying to line up that grenade, either to clear out the smoke or maybe hit the oncoming
T's. It's the Niko that breaks the deadlock as he gets dropped down to 5 HP. At range,
Plotsky takes a couple of speculative shots but nothing really connects. They do have a
player already on the B site in the form of Sapec. Really interesting, he's managed
to bypass into the pool area, pass the CT site which was smoked and the rest of
his team are coming in.
It comes the cavalry that making their move in towards B. Valdez and Aids feels like it's not gonna get too much fun
I mean he was waiting for the audio cue of the plant and had second HE. That's why really nice follow-up on that
He was waiting till he hears the bomb going down lines up for the default
throws out the first second HE under his feet so he can get the confirmed kill on a planter a
Little bit late on the follow-up so the bomb does still go down
But you take one man out of the round softened up HP on TSM notes Niko
It's only got five health to work with plops key spotted strikes on Niko wants to isolate the 1v1s and plops key with the gloss
Dealing deathly blows. Oh, it's plops keys bombsite. You're merely living in it TSM
It's met his port take the pistol round that they were hoping for
That's a delicious flash into double frag from Sapec as well into the garden area and then pop ski again
He's the kind of player that does love peeking.
You know, he's an entry frag type player and you can see that he's constantly being mobile constantly taking those little peeks
But he feels more comfortable. You've got some players that prefer hold angles
He prefers to take the fight to the opposition. That was tailor made for him
Metasport do convert the pistol round as we were discussing just before and there won't be a force buy from TSM. They decide
They don't want to be part of this. They tap out. They have a Zeus Valder wanted to get past the Molotov
But not afforded the luxury and Plopsky will punish him
Welcome Matt was down
They've got very muddy shoes Vince. They're gonna walk in
Get dirt all over the place. The bombsite should be theirs for free
Yeah, it's gonna be theirs for free and it's a stack over on the archer side, so a
Little bit of a gimmick hasn't quite worked out. We saw this on
garage as well of course you lose the first pistol you go in for the eco on the
second one try and gamble stack the site or a particular area of course it was a
long time ago it was complexity that first hit it and then I think Astralis
was a team that made it like really famous when you go for the Astralis
stack one inferno just in the pool area that all five players up and sort
of a pyramid structure and you hope that one player white swings you into
death either way it will be a clean sweep round at his ports even the
3 odds at 7 apiece, none of those pistols or uses as you can see there the leading tower of CP's was really trial and tested
Provided and conquered in the end pretty straightforward round for me
It's nice to see
Big comeback for them and strong resilience shown in the matchup overall
Keep in mind metasports fast way to the grand final
It's still be done at the stage of two maps if they can pick this one up
Niko gets the first with the Famous fighting on to Lumie, Nilo vs. Altex 1v1 on the balcony.
Back up from Saffek, oh it's the timing, oh dear, he's playing a bit of bowling then,
throws out the nade, gets caught with his hands up as Adam B decimates on entry.
Beautiful footwork there, three frags off the back of the little spray.
And Niko he's gonna be so frustrated as this one's been ripped away from them. I
Just love the way you're building that up like it's gonna be Altecs versus Nilo and the sapx like hold my beer
He just rushes out with the back end
Nails in midair. Oh zero chill shown
Just the name rolling bars. Well, yeah, just in his face
Oh, man, what a turner on both from Eddysport, man. Like we come into this game. It's
ended up going 0-4 into a 7-1 scoreline and since then if you consider like the
half switch this is now seven rounds in a row that met his port of one they won
the last four of the first half the first three of the second half they've
gone from pretty much being trailing this entire map to now in the lead
incredible it really is a beautiful comeback goes to show how much they
they wanted. They've been to the showdown before. Can they make it to the showdown again? Nice
Nade. Damage established on Tufalde and Niko. Meta's port making their move up towards Balcony
as well. Altex is here with a 5-7. Max 10 on Tatec. He wants to do it again. It's the
same round, Vin. Oh, it's the same outcome as well. This time
Well, Tex didn't have the M4A when I asked it was a pistol, but it's still the Mac 10 shenanigans
Metis port are gonna bypass these upgraded pistols dial and punch in a night frown
It's gonna be a save on a management from TSM. They do have the FAMAS
Probably like to hold on to that. There's also some Kevlar and play on top of that
You got a Molotov a smoker kit it all adds up
Thousands and thousands of dollars that won't need to be repeated
But this would be Mattis Port with a stand-in with Lumi.
Potentially not just beating TSM.
I know TSM can definitely come back into this, don't get me wrong.
I like the thought of this potentially going their way.
With a stand-in with TSM, a potential 2-0 win on top of it would just be unbelievable.
It would be hard to faggots.
Molotovs down, Niko's gonna get forced out of position near the HE, and two of
them go down with the bomb.
Niko and A-core.
finalized! Ha ha! Showed us on a replay, SAPIC with the Fast and Furious Matt 10 action.
Oh boy, I mean this is really quite a terrifying prospect now. TSM,
you've been stuck on seven rounds for what feels like absolute eternity, whereas Metasport have
only just been climbing. Battle of the Orpas as well. A-Corp getting one for TSM on the CT
site. He's got a pretty good spawn towards A site if he wants to go for a peek out, take
the fight down second mid. Seems like he's debating whether or not it's going to be
a B pick as well. Turning to face his teammates on the other side. It's Lumi again, donning
the Orpas. He's still got that in his hands for the T's that have met his port.
So I fill in with a deep mid smoke early. That one's going to go in all the way
way down to block off banana.
He'll be looking for the cross, but no one comes knocking.
They're already up banana, close and deep Molotov used to buy time.
Three seconds on those bad boys, the HE rolls in, Niko softens them up, but not as much
as he might have hoped for being 70 HP left on both players.
How did that double name not do more damage, Shaki?
I was right alongside the right, I was like, oh my god, this is going to be crotch.
This is going to be a tactical noose, can it barely scratch the surface?
I'm amazed at that.
Geez, we have to bypass it now and,
considering the T's are starting to make a move in, there is a smoke down in their eyes.
They're gonna have to hold fire for a little bit longer.
Maybe look at it, try and break open the smoke for the AWP pick onto CT.
Hasn't really done enough there for Loomita.
Transfer into an advantageous shot.
The Metasport are taking a little bit of control over the apps as well.
Nilo is keeping that side of the map warm.
uncomfortable for the rest of his teammates to come back on to should they
choose and judging by the bombs transition now it seems like they do want
to try and have their say over on the A side it has been primarily on B side hits
or wrapping around through the CT spawn with 35 seconds left a core may be
called upon to land a kill or two more top out of position
I thought I made a bit of damage back onto my Sapec, but now I'm being out texting the Pit with the M4.
Oh, finding two crispy frags, but obviously he's had enough of this.
He wants to take it into his own hands.
Backed up by Nilo.
A smooth response from the T side, and Met is put.
Every time it feels like there's a crack,
there's a bit of dent that potentially TSM could abuse.
They find a solution and once again pull ahead.
attempt frown vids at TSM they've been stuck in a nose dive for so long are
they gonna be able to find an answer to this or Metasport can you just close it
down in two put a book on this one and move right through to the ground final
confirm it in the space of two maps and this is with their sub as well this is
with Lumie no Jack Enio on the server and it's working it feels like TSM are
beating themselves in some of these rounds.
I think that's honestly a very fair assessment, I mean even within the context of these rounds,
sure, TSM probably felt a 10 seconds left at their A defense when they got the first couple
kills should have been good enough to just hold this off.
They had two players on site, one player hit, they got the first two frags, but why are
Valda and Niko so slow to rotate off B site?
They're both stuck there at the back side of the site, neither of them able to
rotate across and help them out if needs be, you'd normally want one player on like CT side.
I'm not sure if there was a bit of a fumble of communications,
and they still felt like the B-Play was on. But that is a very odd state of affairs. A bit of a
head-scratcher there from TSM. Able to save a couple of guns at least, but that's his port in
such a good angle now. As Nico goes out with a flash, totally blinds him. And Valder's
gonna try and get the element of surprise in here. He's joined the exact same position,
comes out with the A4, spray is wild, hasn't landed anything just yet, you could get punished,
5-7 whipped out, a one-forn train again, but that should have been a clean kill.
In this round, might be anything but cleanly cut from this point.
The 18th ticking on, Altex with the MP9 expecting the oncoming assailant cycles with the
smoking hand for the first contact. You can throw it out to buy time sure,
but he's so low it's up to Altex now the ton of pressure dumped on him the two
teas inside of apartments grouping up flash off the wall that'll blind him
counterintuitive though slows down the push from the teas itself
fighting his inner demons and can't win out versus Nilo 16 HP and a dream it's
all on a core a ridiculous spray from the MP9 but the bullets don't deliver
instead it's Sapec that will smooth his way over the round and take Meta's
poor all the way to 11. Another round where at TSM we're in positions to make that one
work out. There are two MP9s up close, eight and one another in the can of activation but
it's missing out and again it's that man. Milo with the entries with the important
impactful frags 14 and 6. He currently sits on 15 kills to Sapec as well and 12 for
Plopsky the three of these guys really carrying it forward over on Mirage and
continuing to pick up the pace 11-7 as Nico gets desperate. Price is nice with
death and mayhem as he pushes down but takes a stray bullet to the head through
the smoke. Another opening pick. Nico he's had such a rough game. Finding
opportunities to activate himself on the CT and T side have been slimmed and
None.
And with the teams in that escort converging on the A site, it's up to them to do something
heroic.
Xyphan and A-Corp.
Find the killing blow up piece.
Nilo on the balcony.
Waiting for the opportunity to strike from Zip.
Hit response good for one.
Sapec assists on Xyphan.
Oh Sapec.
Buckles under the might of the brains of the operation and Nilo punches in the digits.
Gets the bomb down and leaves himself in a 1v2 post plant.
He knows one of these players last seen on Arches.
The second unknown.
He'll be playing off the back of that smoke and hoping and praying they're pushing together
and this angle goes unchecked in favour for the close box or maybe pit.
Smoke now clearing.
First frag is in.
Always done a lot of damage to Acor as well.
He actually has the HP advantages right now as he shifts through the gears but
Acor too fast.
With the AK, shuts it down and should have enough time for the defuse.
TSM just about hold on for dear life.
Rule that.
A sigh of relief for only one momentary distance.
Living on seven rounds of solo.
Round off the ground, commit his port.
Have ground this game back to not only equal footing,
but now only two rounds away from winning it and going to the ground final.
TSM finally get one.
for the first time in quite a long time and it took a one versus one finish that looked like he was walking a tight road
tactical ball is going to be used as well figure out the buy keep things safe worst case scenario as well Vince you lose this following round with the
damage done to the economy by barely limping through that previous one with any one player and how low their money is saved up from the
loss bonus also taking a bit of a dent. Metasport could be getting back-to-back
freebies. If they find a win on the 20th, the 21st could be quick to follow. So
TSM got to dial it up now. They can't afford to barely get through rounds. They've
got to start looking a whole lot more confident. That's the problem with TSM, they've put themselves into a very no-moral
room effect era. Niko just getting blown to pieces but foul the doubles up.
Finally some success on the banana trades. It's been against them time after time
And does that spring metis port into a knee jerk reaction of just pushing the throttle down and getting onto a as fast as possible
They have gone for a more defensive angle with a double-pitch setup
two of
The five players at TSM find themselves on a but a third is starting to make moves around that is a core not with the
Up but the AK 47 instead
And they have spotted players in pit, smokes now that he's thrown out with molotovs, sightings starting to burn alive, they get a 2 for 2, but that means it's down to Lumi.
They're standing.
They're guys that had a rough first map, can he make amends with this 1v3?
Okay, in his hands.
No scope.
All rifling.
Here's the first push.
Nice peek.
Isolates the fight, doesn't take any damage either, so he's got full health to play with.
Ooh, it seems like he's got a reed on it!
Unfortunately for him Valdez, there's too much to chop through and TSM go from 8 to 9.
Plamoring back into the game and looking to starve off defeat they do keep their economy in line.
Yes it's a costly round but they win it nonetheless.
Have enough players survive that they can afford a buyback into the next round.
They've got scary vents but the game continues.
Shoe on the other foot though is that mech support were able to build up such an abundance of bang over the course of winning so many rounds unchecked
and with fairly dominant numbers as well that they can afford themselves another full rifle by.
They can indeed, and they can afford one in this round as well. It may be a hadn't down at Doldrums, but the rest of the team can, and this time, Niko continues to struggle.
Molotov, up into the air, there's nothing. Baldur's gonna try and take the impetus, and take the fight.
Well, it's whizzing past him in the smoke, but nothing's actually landing on him.
Oh, he just gets dinked. He's getting spammed down to 5 HP, but lives to tell the tale.
They survive.
But at what cost?
Vimbal, they actually hold back the v-push that now.
Challenging him.
Head on.
Oh, tried as hard as he could using the utility to buy time from the smoke shop, zap head,
because all it takes is you need to be sleeping with the fishes.
And with the CT economy being so frail, they can't afford to deny this, they have to concede
match point.
Metsport will move to 12.
In to three match points, three grand final points where Johnny speeds.
I've been waiting.
since their victory earlier on the marathon they played up against.
Ecstatic.
That's if they can save these three weapons as well,
because Metasport have enough funds to justify going for this one.
It's gonna be like 6 plus K for Plopsky after this round.
Oh, headshot delivered first classroom.
Loomies, Acorn, the receiving end, and now the T's come in.
The pressure swelling mounting Altecs will survive,
but he is the only player, and you can see the impact that has.
They went from affording a full buy with full weapons to potentially two or three players down the pistols.
Or MP9s.
Brutal end to the rounds.
To add to the woes. Two MP9s. A FAMAS, ACOR, also an MP9.
Just to afford them enough utility to stand and try and build up a bit of a fortress in the CT side.
But Metasport not slowing down, looking for banana control again.
No, you're only gambit of getting back into the game off the back of the save and hoping
to drag it into AT.
There looks a lot to lead up, Niko is worried, continue and with Niko falling it seems like
TSM bit by bit might buckle and that Metisport has done enough to close it into that they'll
They'll be able to cruise through the grand final and take on Johnny Speeds, a rematch
of their group game with a blast showdown spot up for grabs.
That's if it ends here.
Altecs with the nade over the top blows away Botsky.
The bomb is knocked down.
It's on the back of the T's that are recoiling and one by one they now find themselves
in a grave with just Adam B remaining.
would need to be a 1 vs 4 clutch on the A site. They're quick on the rotate, Altec's up on Archside,
A core supporting him, and Adam B goes down. How does Metisport not win that round? And especially
how do they lose the 4 play still alive? They got the opening kick on the site and then everything
slowed down. Zeifin, so aggressive, gets rewarded for that, but that's mind-blowing,
considering that Menace Port have been so clinical to throughout the duration of this half.
Again, rifles back in.
TSM traded up to multiple AK-47s.
This is one of the best buys they've put together on their entire CP side.
The only thing that could be better and sweeter is if they had an open play on top of it.
Early grenade damage down on Plopsky.
Not that important.
It's more about the fact they can take top banana now in TSM
That's gonna take quite a while and quite a lot of grenades before they're cleared out
wake up
First frag picked up
There's the follow-up as well as Nilo gets decimated
They'll be destined for another overtime somehow
TSM dig their feet in and refuse to go down
Met his port was so close, but they might have fumbled the back
And Paranoia is starting to kick in. Zappek with 12 HP, Plopsky with only six to his name.
Bombs was dropped, passed over the looming. Kind of cut off the rotation in a weird way
if they don't know about Plopsy's angle. Then yeah, maybe there's still room to
breathe on this one. He's looking for the fight fins, but can't quite connect it.
Chest shots galore. And now Metasport's attention turns to a save. I almost feel like you're
watching the nerves unfold in front of you. It's like Metasport finally realizing
hold on a second we're actually on the brink of winning this match and moving a giant step towards
premier fall and now they're getting in their own heads they're getting a bit antsy a little bit
scared on some of these peaks that were so clean for them earlier on now slowed down considerably
as you highlighted save needs to come in if it's successful in saving both of these weapons
which i'd imagine they will because tsm can't really afford to lose too much then they will
They will be able to buy alongside this.
Popski's going to be able to buy an AK, so will Nilo.
Maybe one player that's a little bit behind
in terms of their firepower,
but everybody else should be okay.
They have one more chance here, Jackie, in regulation.
One more opportunity to put this to bed
and save themselves a lot more time.
Because of course, if this does go into OT,
then you go into a third map.
Both teams are going to be exhausted
by the time they have to play
against Johnny Speed later on.
Exactly, that's another big piece of the puzzle, right?
You're going to burn a lot of the potential energy
that you're trying to conserve and save,
the electrolytes, the focus.
Getting yourself out or flow state calming down
and going straight back in with far less time to rest
can be problematic.
And Johnny speaks this entire time
of him watching these games, practicing,
buying their time to be able to have food,
whatever it is they need to reset themselves
be focused up before that next BO3. So starving off another hour, hour and a half
potentially of match time here for Meta's port. So the difference maker, see
how it goes though. For TSM all you're thinking about is this one round. They
were stuck dead set on seven for what felt like hours in this match. They
finally find a solution and begin to build their way back in but now it's
just about closing that final hurdle. It's always the hardest one.
It's especially hard once again when you don't have your primary IGL on the server. This
is where you typically look to that leadership, you look to that experience to get you across
the finish line. When you don't have that man to lean on, that brain to really talk
to. This is where things can get that little bit more sketchy. This is where again
you have to just try and have that mental fortitude. So many of these rounds have been
lightning fast. It's been up in the face of TSM. This is way slower. And it's allowing
TSM to hold on to look at how many grenades they've got, man. Two incendiaries, tons of
smokes and flashes, and 40 seconds left on the clock. That is part of guts to make
a move. And it has to happen soon.
I mean, 30 seconds, bud. Any mistakes now could be incredibly costly. You're playing
with your match lives in your hands, your potential tickets to the grand finals, a chance
at the last showdown comes down to this, Adam B on entry, good for one, Blight gets into
the back, it's Altex that has to keep his teammate alive, and Altex does better than
that, strikes back with a second, Loomi can't handle it, can't deal with the smoke
on the site, and TSM take 12, another overtime, Vince, we ran it back another time today,
one. You used to say this doesn't go multiple as well and follow suit from that first map.
I met his port, I've got to be devastated man, like it's going to be super hard I think on their
team to just make sure that they just dust all of this away into the the recesses of their mind,
dust off the cobwebs because you had something like three or four match points, you are at
eleven eighth I think at one stage as well, like everything was looking like you had this
one under wraps. TSM were looking shaky, they were looking shocking to be honest. They have now
recovered. Looking to push down on banana, pops around the corner, gets one, second spray is good.
Metas bought off to a good start even though they took a lot of damage from those early grenades.
I wanted to give TSM full sense of hope and then rip it away from them into overtime.
Warning shots go out, keeps Acor on his toes as he's looking to peek with the scope.
Looney just holding. He says over extension! Oh Acor! Quick response,
Propsky went for the jump up, looking for the CT smoke, exposes himself and bites the bullet
because of it. Down in the dirt. They're aware of the fact that this is now a quick move
towards the A site. The AWPer of Acor arrives on the scene, the other two players trapped in pit.
A-Cord does his due diligence and they're fighting with the cracks. It's Altecs each and every round
We've seen this before Lumi in a 1v3 and it's not gonna happen
It feels like let's put a run out of steam at this point
Out of fuel running on fumes hoping they could get this done in a quick fire 2-0
When that hasn't happened even though they were gonna give up these two kills in the early stages
A-Cord with a delicious flick shot and then Altecs who's been so good
Caused the tail end of regulation into OT as Catapulted himself into 21 kills and around
180R with 6 multi-frags on top of it, is really beginning to shine bright.
I do worry for Mattersport Albojacking, it feels like things are just not working out
at all and just to make matters worse, Popski who was, Mr. Dependable and Mirage and
earlier on Inferno continues to get batted in Banana.
Yeah, it's super worrying super worrying with
How these rounds have started to go?
Met his poor you had your chance that B bombsite take man
It felt like that's where it really should have been over that was the grand final inches away from your fingertips
Acor gives them a chance to get into the twin to six though
One of 12 will force into peak and they're ready for it. Loomie delivers on that one
I'll say, Blind's confused. The luck on it though, Vince. The first bullet from the
spam whilst Blind takes the head off of Adam B and actually does give him a free versus
two. Nice molotov as well from Valde. Look at the utility usage. The man's absolutely
playing them, but he's so low. 6 HP finished off by Milo.
Yeah, he's doing a great job with utility. Problem is that all these teammates around
were dropping like flies and so eventually he was into a one and two with low HP.
Nice mob mentality here from Metasport. I do no thrills, counter strikes, nothing too shiny,
too special about it, just pushed together as a united force
and just go for that brute strength and that probably is the way that you get the upper
hand on TSM. That's what was yielding so much results for them in those opening seven or eight
rounds of the t-half where they would bomb on him. Life in down middle gets flashed fully flashed but
somehow survives. Oh it's back 5 though. Sapek gets 2. Altex has been doing so much in key rounds
for this TSM squadron. Tom's going to be planted. Adam B reads it well. A voice that
makes damage as well outside of a small amount of shrapnel. Taking 2 health off him.
Molotov could be set up nicely, you know, trying to smoke it to block off the angles from pit-time.
Molotov gets him a window of opportunity, Altex, hefty hit off the nape, but Niko,
playing around the smoke, gets the push-up. That's the worst-case scenario. It really isolates these whites,
but they don't expect another man in the pit. They don't realise Plobski is in the pit,
he's plopped on him, and looking for the closer, knows where the boss is planted,
but he's got to get a pre-fire off! He's not shooting! Oh, one tap to the head-vins!
One bullet is all it takes. Klopsky gives him a 14th.
And that was some slick movement as well for Klopsky, like leaping from box to box.
If he whiffs that and face plants the box, that is the one getting diffused.
That's why you jump in the KZ maps. That's why you want to get that movement on point.
Huge 1v2 at the end. What a difference that can make jumping from box to box headshot in.
seal the timer there that was like half a second away from the fusel at his port
after losing the first round of OT bounce back to a 14-13 and maybe there
were a little bit down on themselves a little bit damaged emotionally off not
converting that clutch could be the thing that reawakens that hunger and
that drive to get this game finished but Valda picks off Lumie early doors
Oh dear, oh dear.
Mate is caught. They lose big pop a plot.
The main man goes down to the scope of A-core.
Rips him a new one with a two-piece.
I don't think there's much room for him to contest for a 15th round here in the 28th.
The two remaining players out of position with a round guaranteed to TSM now off the back of the bomb being planted.
Altec's playing reconnaissance towards mid as well, so Nilo and Adam B just focusing on the safe.
Now 12.5k start money does afford you quite a lot of luxuries but of course on the CT side you don't want to be potentially playing for your map life with like an MP9 rather than MP4 or a lack of orbs or any of that.
So this just allows you to really fully fledge out buys for the rest of this OT.
16 of course the magic number now is we are going to be tied up even at 14 to 14.
I'm a bit surprised that they individually beat Al's A-core twice in a row from CT side.
Not really a smart decision considering the caliber of player that he is.
I thought maybe there is some indecision, some sloppy plays being made in a few instances.
And for TSM, they climb the game back to this point.
They come and get themselves a number of time victories.
There's then and only then we'll start discussing the prospect of Ancient,
being where maybe they can mount a 2-1 comeback in the series.
A five-match win streak for them,
consisting of two best-of-ones and three BO3s.
They have been having a real hot streak over the past few days.
But if TSM lose here, MetSupport will break that and will continue to look mean in the
Nordic qualifier for the blast showdown.
A minute and five seconds on the clock, smoke thrown out towards top banana.
The utility's there for TSM.
Now their T side vins is really where it felt like they were able to bully in quite
a few of these rounds when they were going for plays towards B.
So when Metasport was struggling on the defense on the actual closing rounds, is that going
to happen again here?
I'm not sure what the idea here for Valder is, it's like he's telegraphing they want
to hit B, but then you've also got a stack hoping the CTs push into it, which makes
no sense.
And now you're going to have to run the gauntlet through smokes and three players
being stacked here for Metasport.
They've done nothing to draw away a player from the B site.
now smokes landing in. CT, Coffins. Molly's being thrown to new box. HG's costing for
good measure. First trade does go in favour of TSM though. Maybe they can still get away
with this one as flashes are plenty in and the damage alongside it. 2v2 but it will be
a post plant in for a potential retake for MetaSport. And they still have Looming and
Adam alive. Beautiful flick from Looming.
That's lovely. Nice tracing, good tracking.
Wello, Valde.
1v2, here's the footsteps.
Expect to push towards pool side.
Smoke goes down to block off his vision.
HE in the back line, they're not trying to break the smoke.
They're just trying to slow him down.
And Lumi straight on the bomb plant.
You've got to pique this Valde.
Oh, he finally finds it, but it's too late.
Diffuse comes out as Lumi will snip the end of the cables.
They walk the tightrope to a 15th round,
and TSM are going to be left frustrated from that one.
The 1v2 that gets away from Valdez.
And a single round is all the lifeline they have.
Count to the millisecond on the tap to the head.
Shot from Lumi really did open the door.
It just opened it slightly ajar for that clutch
to come through.
Really nice stuff.
He's going to go back in again.
See the confidence building on him.
Lots of damage to kick things off though, Sapec and Płopski taking it, and TSM have
forced their will on Banana. Worst case scenario for Metasport is a second overtime. They will
be guaranteed at least that. TSM have got to convert this round or they are done.
Płopski gets the pick off on Szefian. So Metasport close to 16. Oh the double
an A-Line on. They're giving Valdeir a taste of his own medicine on the default plant.
Do unto them what they did to you.
Nilo takes down Acor.
It does seem like they've earned a bumpy waters here, Vince.
And I don't know if TSM are going to be able to find these sea legs to pull themselves out of it,
especially with the utility now soaring in, keeping the pressure on TSM.
Can they do something unthinkable?
They managed to clump up all of the CTs basically in the garden because of these CT smokes.
And now come the CTs, they've got to be fast.
The bomb is ticking away ever so quickly here, it's all down to Miko.
He's on low HP, he's been finalized.
They both have kits and Metisport will pull off the 2-0 shock win with a standing.
No, Jackinho, but it does not matter.
The only game they've lost in the space of these mash-ups, Vince, was against Johnny Speed, the team they're going to have to go head-to-head versus now in the grand final, back in groups.
was against Johnny Speed, the team they're gonna have to go head to head versus now in the grand final back in groups
No, exactly. It's it's honestly
I'm kind of shocked at that Jackie once that went to OT
I genuinely assumed that TSM had that in the back like they were just gonna bring it back
Metisport would be mentally broken after being 11-8 and then multiple match points
They let them all slip but mega credit to Metisport for bouncing back plopski in particular
was so good in those clutch positions man like so often getting one or two kills
Deserved winners. You got to say just deserved winners overall. Yeah, absolutely
You know, there's no other way to really sum that one up. They fought hard
They were able to pull out some huge plays all in all but everyone else stepping up as well with the absence of Jack
Inio it feels like the whole team's risen to the occasion
Loomi was pulling out some nice flicks and important clutch moments as well might not be the biggest performer on the server
But he had impact and that's what matters at times. You just need those impact frags
It's what's gonna win you key rounds and key rounds they did win Vince all right then our two grand finalists now confirmed
Both of them hailing from group B
It'll be Johnny speeds taking on met his port when we're back in for the final after the break
Nordic masters one spot up for grabs at the blast showdown and two teams remain Vince
We've made it all the way to the grand final with both of our squads hailing from group B
It's Johnny speeds and met his poor
Yeah, it's an all Swedish
Affair as well the Danes and Norwegians the Finns have all been put aside
this is all for Sweden right now and a region that has had
Historical amounts of impact and counter strike through the different iterations and decades
So it's only fitting that we have plenty of Swedes and five of them are going to make their way across
to play against some tier one opposition. Absolutely, you make it out of this, you're joining some real
talent teams in droves that clamor over one another every time we've run these qualifiers to attempt to
make it to the showdown, but it's so ruthless, it's so cutthroat, only some of them can make it
through. And when you get there Vince, the opportunities for teams that maybe don't have
organizations like Johnny Spades to get all the eyes on them, the sponsors, the potential
organizations that might scout them from having a big run. Hell, if they make it even further,
Vince, who's to say they can't get through the showdown and potentially make it all the way to
a blast event. A lot to be excited about, but we'll stay in the present for now. We'll run you
through both for the teams and get you set up for how this BO3 finals is going to be looking,
Vince. Both fierce competitors, the only downside of course is the fact that Lumi had
to sub in for Jack inio. It's not as if you're getting the full flavor of met his port here
tonight as he's their Roper and IGL. So with him being put on the back burner, it's a bit
of a shame for the team overall, but caveat aside Vince, they did make it here with Lou
me on the server in the previous two games. He had some impact rounds. He had some momentum,
but it was more the rest of the team stepping up and playing a different flavor of CS.
No, 100%. It obviously is a bit of a downside because you don't have your IGL, you don't
have maybe some extra protocols and mid-round calls and all those kinds of things that come
into play, but they did still win. They 2-0 TSM no less. It wasn't like, you know, it
was a three-mapper. Yes, there was tons of OTs and it was a close game. Don't get
us wrong on this. But it was still a 2-0 victory. So when you have Plopski really
stepping up to the plate. You have additionally on top of that players that are really going
above and beyond with their entry-fragging prowess as well that we saw time after time.
It's really interesting to see how this kind of like, I don't want to say this hit-and-run
sort of pug style of gameplay that we saw from Metisport, but it felt like they were playing
with less pressure. Almost like we are the underdogs. We can kind of have a bit of fun
with this. It's not the end of the world. Even after losing multiple match points,
They still came back in OT and got the job done.
I thought they'd be completely mentally screwed after that point,
but they weren't. They were still in the game.
No, absolutely, but they showed great resilience, good form,
individually as well. They were performing very, very well.
So, Metasport impressive stuff with how they played
to make it to the grand final in their semi-final.
Remember, they've only lost one game,
and that was two Johnny Speeds back in the groups.
Let's check out the Johnny Speeds roster though,
as they do have a full house tonight.
Interestingly enough, Vince, this was another potential timeline where I was a bit worried about Johnny's speeds making it here.
It felt like they went from the high heights of their initial games back in the groups to really struggling versus ecstatic earlier today, barely scraping by, I think it's fair to say, with that 22 to 19 overtime victory on ancient.
Yeah, exactly. I know. I think you're spot on with that really the only close to what we expected performance from Johnny speeds was the second map of marriage which they blitz 13 five
But inferno was really close and as you highlighted. Yeah, multiple over times. It could have gone either way. It felt to me like ecstatic maybe ran out of a little bit of steam. It was the crystal show.
when he started to kill Doroth there wasn't really a secondary element in so you could
absolutely make the argument that maybe ecstatic should be here instead of Johnny's speeds but
that is the nature of Counter-Strike. It is a cruel game at times, if you can't finish
off what you started you are going to ultimately end up losing and the other thing as well
Jackie it felt to me like Draken wasn't having the impact that we expected. Mirage
is his playground, he was fantastic on that. The other two maps he was a lot quieter
So maybe he's had a chance to like sort of chill as you said have a shower get some food in you warm up
Get on the same page. He is the AWP. I gel. He is new to this role as both at the same time
So as I'm sure this time goes on
He's only gonna improve in that way and I'd expect that Johnny speeds in this game are going to be notably better than what we saw earlier
You'd think so you definitely would think so let's check out our players to watch for this one
then and see where our focus should be. Where our solo peepers are going to be looking during
the matchup. Plopski for the side of Metisport and that's absolutely fair enough. If you
missed it back on the Inferno matchup they had to drag themselves through the semi-finals
in the space of two maps. Plopski had some crazy plays and he's been doing that consistently
Vince. A name that's you know pretty familiar this day and age with some of the top
teams he's floated around on and the level of LeFalle he has. Cool to see Plopski
he's playing so well and
dragon. Yeah, dragon has really
been a big dog for this team
throughout the duration of the
qualifier. But like we mentioned,
he has had moments where he's not
able to hit the same skill
ceiling. And when that's
happened, though, Vince, the only
benefit has been Johnny speeds as
a team step up and then make up
for it. We'll say though, the
flicks from dracon today. When
he's hit them, they've looked
there about Plopski's been in a lot of teams. NIP is one of them and they signed them also from
Godsend which is another one of those kind of like periphery Swedish teams that always seems to do
okay maybe never quite got to that level of an NIP or Fnatic of course but not far off within the
confines of Counter Strike and I am very curious to see if Mirage has actually played in this
veto because we know both teams like to play it but honestly if I'm on the side of Metasport
maybe dodge it because this is such a crazy strong map for their opposition. Yeah, bud.
I completely agree with you. As much as met his port look good on it, you know, they've
already lost Mirage versus Johnny speeds earlier in this event. I don't know if they're gonna
want to go back, but then what does that do to the rest of the veto? We'll find out.
We open it up with an ancient pick in favor of met his port. All right, I like that.
I mean, that's fair enough. Even ground for both teams. We've seen some crazy
games on it from them already. That's surprising though. Anubis is the second pick. That is
a bit of a surprise to be fair, but I think also what they're saying here, Johnny Speeds
is we're fine with Mirage. If you want to float it for a third map, we're completely
okay with that outcome. Dust2 banned from at this port here. So curious if we will
have a Mirage third mapper, if it's going to be Inferno, it's going to be Mirage.
I think this is a fantastic veto if you're Johnny Speeds. Anubis is a very good
map for them as well. They played it 27 times over the last three months of a 70% win rate.
Mate, yeah, this has worked out really well. I suppose you're kind of limited in terms of the
overall maps that not only are you comfortable playing, but that you've played against each other
at this very event. But for the flow of it, hey, take a nubis on the chin. Let's see how it
goes. Ancient, you're going to be really comfortable on. That could go either way.
Mirage looks pretty good as a Johnny Spitz home territory win, especially with how sluggish it was
for Metasports to actually make their way through the Mirage games we have seen.
And when they went head to head, Johnny Spitz just felt like they had their number then.
So crazy stuff. All right, that's the veto then. Let's get into our qualification final.
One of these two teams will make it to the Blast showdown.
Let's get into Ancient and see who can start it off with a pistol round and make their lives easier.
Johnny Speeds on the CT side, Metis Paul on the T side for this one.
Nilo opening it up towards middle with the P250 damage,
but it's Loomi that gets the first frag of the final.
Doubles up as well. There we go, Loomi.
He's 3-14 at one point on Mirage early. He's already off with a bang on a 2k
in the pistol. Great work from him. That's going to
afford a lock-in for post-plants. Jules for Spooky
had a rough opening two maps but when it came to that all important ancient he was on fire
let's even keep that going here. Julie's putting in the one kill but it may not be good enough
and Sapec on the side swipe with the Glock is going to nail the last two kills
and Metisport convincingly get themselves the pistol round.
It feels good round as well man. I'm going to be happy with that one.
Start off with the pistol, you get the energy going instantly.
it's always interesting to hypothesize what the team that qualified first to the
final has been up to in the downtime as well. Because Johnny Speets obviously
been a good three four hours since their start of the day and to now come back out
after Mattie's bought they've had their hour break finished up they're gonna be
fresh if they come back in after hitting the DM let's have a look what the
form looks like the longer this VO3 continues for now we'll stick with
the raw facts and that's the chores he has to defend the A site with an empty 9. They dive around the corner.
You do that so that you can bait the crosshair off the angle.
It's a good one for one trade but Spook replies.
And the T side, actually a bit of a predicament now, Bits.
Bomb might go down but the spread from the Molotov denies the comfort zone for Adam V,
Bob XT withing bullets on the D, and Loomi, he's taking it into his own hands.
There, another double up on the AK this time, nicely done and even though they have denied
the bomb plant for a while, the dynamic of this round is shifted on its head and Looney
comes in to get another one.
A low weak and spooky finalise, Looney off to the races with a 6-0 start going into
the third round, the stand-in delivery.
Sub-In, great opening for him.
Had some rough opening moments in a few of the games today are good to see these super stuff for message form being able to perform now
Especially with Johnny's beads showing signs of weakness earlier on in the day if you can capitalize and make them look pretty early
Nilo
Tracing over finds that pick up onto choresy. That's the only player station towards the A site everyone else playing aggressive on V by ramp by cage
Klopski
With a beast Mac 10
Let's see if the claws will come out
The fun never ends the big boy loomi. He's just running away with it. Adam be good to get dropped by the USP
Can they clean up from here and keep it nice and neat?
Sprite is good from the gillil and loomi goes in again, and this is all speculation from my part
I honestly don't know the reasons for jikini are not playing today or loomi
But it did feel like he wasn't warmed up in that first game
I wonder if he found out about this, like, really last second, and that's why we just didn't see him really perform.
And as that previous Vest of 3 kind of, like, continued, he got better and better as time went on.
Now he's had a chance to really put himself into the blender on the deathmatch and get himself warmed up nicely, coming out with all guns blazing.
So here they go, into the up of Dragon and a full purchase from Johnny Speeds.
This is where you're expecting to see a little bit more of what they have up there.
Sleeve to try and bounce back into this round, but he's missed his AWP shot and two of them get punished as a result of it.
Drag can make it one on the retreat, but the damage has already been done here. The bombs gonna get planted.
Seen the back of the leg, fires off the morning shot prematurely and Rolf able to control both of them at once.
Flicks from pillar to post.
GOMING.
And Dylan deftly blows.
Nilo has been sussed out.
Roth knows he's coming. Is he ready for the strike?
Timing on it is deadly. And that is poor.
Will climb to four rounds. So, off the back of the pistol, really
building themselves strong foundations. And Johnny speeds.
All they can do is attempt to save the orc.
Oh! That is grotesque.
Loomi gonna be able to get himself a free AWP if he wants it, they're just gonna stick to the rifle and honestly, I don't blame him!
He's popping off with some sick shots on the AK right now.
I don't blame him at all, I mean, it's not as if his AWPing was bad in the previous best of three, he saw an absolutely lovely shot onto Newbox,
I remember it vividly when they went for a retake on Inferno from CT side, it was such a nice shot and they ended up winning the round off the back of it,
it but when you've had this kind of a heater to start off the best of three
you're enjoying the freedom of running around and being adaptive and versatile
with the AK. Why the hell not just stick with what's working it ain't broken just
yet. You can always fall back to the orp if Johnny speeds start to suss you out.
But I asked in the previous round what the Johnny speeds have in their locker
and the answer is not much. Just a few skeletons it would seem. Jewelies though
from track and double up and trade into an AK. Suddenly out of nowhere they explode into
this round. He may go down but he's done so much work.
Johnny Speeds. With three players remaining alive. Even Steven's firefight, the timing
could be everything as Chosy is slowly making his flank. The snake in the tall grass.
Only problem is, but the time he gets here to clear lane and calls for the rotation
from his teammates realizing that no one's here. Metis Port will already have control of the A site.
Bomb can go down because of it. What's the post plant looking like here? Three players back towards
Donut looking to play off one another set up on the old bait and switch. There is no kit for Johnny
Speeds. Bomb's now hitting the halfway point as well so going for this round looks like an
impossibility. I think this is gonna be safe. Keep two AKs.
Well if I don't think you can get a hand on one of these weapons maybe you can get a couple
of exit frags with a bit of health from the bomb blast. There's a one for one it's gonna
favor the T's though they've got tons of cash and all four of these remaining players
will survive regardless of a little bit of damage chipped away from the health bars.
The first team that met his port, get into a 5-0 lead.
And I was thinking, this was their moment.
They lined up for Dragon's jewelies and he obliged with the double kill.
And then they stabilised afterwards.
It's one thing to get kills and to make them a bit scrappy, but you've got to start getting some success.
Johnny Speed's going to have another opportunity with Dragon's AWP.
They've got the M4s in play, they've got to save the AK-47.
Are we going to finally see some aggression?
aggression has been very reactive so far rather than taking the fight to the teams.
There's a consistent force of nature in all of the Johnny Speed's matchups.
Again here seems to be delivering, look at the spray.
Wow that's beautiful. Tags down onto Plopsky and brings him all the way to 13 HP.
Bob XD sniffed out though. The rifling capabilities of Lumi.
Really impressing here on Ancient. They don't need an AWP when they've got
this man running in and playing with absolute swagger.
Drakken, still alive and kicking though Vince. Once again three versus three play
very similar to what we saw in the past. The only difference is Johnny Speeds do
have kits and utility. Drakken needs to get a clean entry though that could be
the difference. Timing for Lumi. So unfortunate.
It really helped out by his teammates over on donut and although Plopsky gets
one with the smoke down, heavy hard for Nilo.
It's got one of those kills already, it's huge and the second comes in in the form of
Chorzie but he's got a kit and he's got the time.
Johnny speeds finally put their weapons to use and get success out of them but heavy
cost of life losing four in this round is going to have repercussions for their next
buy.
Concession will need to be made.
You can see the reverberations here.
You got Loomi for the first time going New York on that seaside.
Milo eating the base.
The weakened Johnny's speeds in terms of utility and weaponry make do with what they've got.
And find a first pick for free.
Spooky won't actually go for the push through cave as well with the MP9 in his hands.
You got Loomi peering into the back of the bombsite.
Free player set up on B.
Back to the top. It isolates the run out from cave.
Aim punch galore.
Rolls, crosshair goes flying, drac and burning in the flames.
So low, should be easy for a conversion on this one.
Fourth place in San Diego, actually keeps them at arms reach and allows his teammates to rack around the back.
Buying himself out, arguable time and although he may go down in amongst this smoke,
now Spooky is there with the MP9 as well.
And Spooky keeps his teammate alive, both of them fall but it's at the cost of Plopsky's life.
Nice try, more damage inflicted, but joining speeds, getting a little bit of quick succession
here, a little bit of consistency.
They're still not going to fully fledge their economy forward because of another three losses,
but they're bringing down that economy at the same time as Metasport.
Keeping it costly and making sure they're not able to build an abundance of cash.
Tactical timeout going to be called in as well.
I'm a bit of a chinwag.
You like to see it?
Matt is port and Johnny Speets have been the two teams that have made the majority use
of their tactical timeouts over the course of the event.
It can get you out of sticky situations, giving you a little bit more time to discuss
what needs to change, especially here you're more so thinking about the next upcoming
buy-around.
For now, I'll be calling a bit of a faster-paced strap.
spawn smoke going to go up. That would block off the long side peek. Rampage pre-smoke from the CTs
and it allows Dragon to take the fight. No nade up towards mid-side so he fights down lane.
Loomi's got to hit the trades. They bait him out. Dragon falls. Sunk his teeth into Plopski,
but goes down the 1 for 1. Nice little play there from MetaSport baiting out the first player
so Loomi could get his success but they still find themselves a player behind and not really
able to pick up any of those fallen weapons as of yet either. There's a
second AWP in middle but they don't want to travel too far and traverse out for
potential easy pick from Johnny Speeds. So they're really just hiding in position
and hoping that there's a mistake made from the opposition. They have now
got their hands on that second AWP. Let's give that one tap potential a whole
lot more of a meaning. With 50 seconds you don't really want the
try and explode onto a site with two orbs and you don't necessarily want to save
two orbs either to be fair Jackie I mean that this port's success has really come
off the back of these hit and run five-man pushes with AKs up in the face
aggression you're not afforded that luxury of two orbs you have to be a
lot more stagnant a lot more passive yeah to be a super awkward set of
weapons to bring into the next so you might as well run the risk of
trying to go for the play, especially because if they can get the bomb down post-plant with
two orbs like this. Oh, it could afford them some luxuries. I was reeling at the fact it
felt like Chausie was gonna come in and get the back step off onto the bomb planter, but
the one-deed connects. Now I'll tell you what, I mean, saving two orbs if you win the
round is not gonna be the worst case in the world as they can try and pick their
way through the CTs here. Bit by bit, dismantling them. Spooky's the only one
that remains. If Lumie could just bait the peek, Nilo would have had the shot on contact.
Spooky realizing he does not like the way this is shaping up. He's got to get out and at
least grab a weapon to bail on the round with because this will be a sixth picked up for
Meta's Port. Then keeps the one up on Lumie. Nilo makes the head up play to grab an M4.
One HP as he just gets outside the radius of the bomb blast. The kill threshold is
barely missing him. Strange, strange round that was to watch. Let us port in a 3 vs 4
with two orbs and a deagle. Managed to somehow find the correct path and craft a clutch.
I agree, I thought Chorsey pretty much had that round under wraps. But the deagle had
other thoughts. Tactical timeout is deployed from Johnny Speeds.
Money's not fantastic. The Saved AK doesn't afford them a little bit more of a luxury to go for some sidearms.
Are you looking for Deagles and Five-Sevens? Okay, an MP9's also been purchased, but then refunded?
For the Deagle instead? It's a bit grim though, isn't it? I mean, considering you're a 2-6,
behind on the CT side of Ancient, and the best you can muster into Round 9 is a Saved AK
and some upgraded pistols, you're not gonna feel good about this at all.
Nice super savage. Sleeves you with bits and pieces basically. Again you go for a
quicker gameplay. Megasport just looking to hit with brutality. They run in, it's
working fair enough. First two picks at airs, scot-free, no response.
Chausie fighting demons and potential players that might be in smokes but no
one's there. Dragon flanking up. If he somehow hits the 1D and can at least save the orc,
he'd be living his movie. But that's not the way the ending goes for this one. So director's
cut that favours Metis Port in cut down is what's happened to Johnny Speeds. Bob XD.
Potential chance for maybe one or two exits. That would be the best case scenario but
with more grouped up and no reason to push out with the bomb blasts going to be damn sure, but it won't be enough to kill him.
Bob XT is just going to have to hope for the best on the run out.
I'll be frustrating and then Plopsky does check the angle, shuts him out with the Mach 10.
Man, Loomi, what a turn of fortunes this is.
From three kills.
In the opener of Mirage, I think he ended with like five in total. He's already fifteen and two here on Ancient.
unbelievable performance by him and it's not just been with the AK, he terrorized
with the AK early on and in the pistol rounds. But since he's had the AWP, he has
landed quite a few shots with that one too. Seems like we have a bit of a tech
issue but it's already come and gone. No longer hearing players typing in the
chat. That means that Johnny Speeds will be hot off the basis of another buy
to try and claw their way back in and we're discussing this in the last
game between MetaSport and TSM where it's like yeah you seven two behind if you can get this to
like a an eight four maybe even seven five score line that's gonna be just fine you've still got a
chance in this game that's a big if from what we've seen so far yeah it's a prospect it's quite
far kind of crazy though but didn't expect this to be so good for MetaSport how you know
the thing is like, Riga doesn't come back as quick, you made ages ago Vince. Didn't know about your game,
wasn't familiar with just how powerful Loomi could be in some of these matchups,
but Superstar really had to be living up to that title. Helped them up massively with a lot of
the influences he's had over these rounds. It's made Metis Portal a slightly different team.
Johnny Speeds meanwhile, they're usually so aggressive. It feels like their confidence
and their aggression is sometimes their biggest drawback, but here, they haven't even been
able to assert that dominance they're not going for the plays they usually have
been it's scrappy in the 10th as well back and forth like a metronome they're
exchanging killing blows and dragons baited out a position you've got three
players inside a cave spooky solo you could go down to someone sneezing near
him throw the smoke out go for the clear dragon roams in needs to hit the
backstab spooky finds a bit of time they get the first player trapped
That tracking gets the shot off when it's all a loony for the clutch.
So we get the bomb plant down bare minimum cause Chosy's not in a place to do anything
about this and both AWPs miss their shot.
Kiss their mark.
That will favour Johnny's speeds though.
Because now Chosy can get involved.
He's got a molly, he's got a flash.
That molly can easily be tossed onto ramp and that's going to make things very awkward
for loony.
Especially considering that Chosy has a kit.
Here comes the molotov.
bang maybe behind it as well trying to draw out the shot is dragon yeah it's
just the winning formula there's nothing that Loomi can do about that
unfortunate but if he lands the shot onto dragon initially that entire
dynamic shifts on its heads Johnny Speeds take their third round they
don't come easy though having to really fight two for a man
a lot of blood sweat and tears going into these near round losses but Johnny
speeds rounds are the commodity as long as they start to collect a few of them
and give themselves a better buffer to work with there's always a chance the
nades are chunky and that's that more aggressive opening utility that I wanted
to see that's where Johnny's should be able to get a bit of an edge baited out
though who he takes these shot onto the all-part and domes dragon so no chance
Once for Dragon to deal damage here, Bobsky on the clear towards the ramp finds the pick-up
back on the Rolf, speaky with a headshot back, it's a free vs 4, Adam B looking a bit uncomfortable
but it's Nilo that trades on Chor's events and now there's only two of the speed crew
remaining and they're fragmented.
ABS saving grace is Adam and Lumia both low on HP so there is a way forward but
Johnny Speeds maybe can snatch a couple of lives away.
But you're on the money.
2D4 with 50 seconds.
I mean, Metasport do have the run of the roost here.
They have time to burn, but...
can't take too much time before they decide to push together.
All four of them now making moves over.
But Johnny Speeds have got the correct call.
Bob XD and Spooky.
Two of those heavy fraggers.
The heavy hitters that got them to these finals in the first place still stand.
And if they're going to go ahead and try an A hit, it has to happen right now.
25 seconds will afford them enough time to get across, but Bob XD has read the situation.
He understands what's coming up.
If he can put one kill out of position right now, that puts Metis in a really awkward spot.
But they may not get this one done.
Flash is good, follow up damage is there as well, but the bomb does get planted regardless.
And our spooky tanks that flashbang doesn't affect him, so we can go back in for more,
can't transition the spray and Matt is bought by the narrowest of margins get
their eight throughout.
He almost felt like he was powering himself up to win that one as well.
The potential in the spray there could have been a possibility.
Damn knew exactly how to try and cap the play though.
Wanted to stop them before the bombs he can plant in the house tight on time.
They were nine seconds as the digits in front of him.
Winilo with a final killing blow. Like you say, takes them to eight. And nine-three would be a huge boon for them.
If you can stop Johnny Speeds from making it to a buffer of four rounds, it will give you a nice opportunity to gravitate towards a win quite fast here in the first of our grand final.
Lumie lights up the first man in dracon once again dealing damage onto him. It is the orpa.
So 40 HP, although it is a problem, he'll still be okay to play with it and stay alive.
Gets a bit meaty though on the clash from lane. Both of your CTs that pushed down to
control bottom lane and defend the door. Now dead. So Bob XD and Chorsey. That's
That's your cavalry, that's your backup that has to bolster the broken B-bombsite with
Draken on 39 rotating round towards A and Metis Port, they might just want to greet
him.
Ample time, ample utility and firepower in the side of the T's and they are sending
Plopsky out as a bit of a nuisance, a bit of a distraction perhaps or a flanking contingent.
works because with Molotovs and flashes they be finding their way onto the site
right now. Draken is going to give his position away and that allows Plotsky to
activate behind them. 25 seconds last round of the half looking good for Metisport
to get nine. Draken will need to go above us beyond and Lumi has him dead to
right. Saw the shadow and will not miss that chance. Pop XT flubs his lines, gets
won but punished immediately afterwards met this port with a commanding half in our first map of the
Grand Finals. Running away with it this somehow today they've woken up to the right side of the bed
even with all the potential things that could set them back. No jacquini-o, lengthy overtime
games having to claw themselves back from the brink of defeat versus TSM a couple times.
As soon as they get into the grand final they're playing some lights out
Counter-Strike and making it look like Metisport want to make it back to the
showdown again. They've been there before, they know what it tastes like and they
want to sink their teeth in to this first map and get one step closer to
getting the last spot that is available for the blast showdown. Later on
this month kicking off on the 21st of August. Adam B with the opening shot,
shuts down Bob HD, drag him with the P250, claps back, 4 vs 4, loomy. He was so
damn good on the opening pistol and again here he seizes the opportunity to
punish but it's a 2v2. Both of the T's trapped inside a temple, Nilo.
Think down, his teammate jumping on the bomb trying to bait them off, they go
running in but he's sticking it and he's gonna be able to pull it off.
The defuse goes the way of Plopsy right under the nose of Rolf.
Really nice from Neelo there, man.
He basically sold himself down the river in order to allow his teammate to defuse with the kit in the smoke.
He fully sacrificed himself to the temple of Ancient for them to get that double digits.
And the second pistol round, which is as good as the map.
It would have to be a ridiculous comeback for Johnny Speeds to weather through this and to make it work.
Good news though, a slight silver lining, is that they did get a post plant and so therefore they can get some galils and AKs in play, so it's not going to be an easy round for that support to bypass, but they are in such a good spot right now, well played for Nilo.
I would feel so bad for Looney by the way if they end up winning this grand finals and he's
playing in this kind of a form and then he doesn't get to attend the blast premiere fall
like that would really suck he's like done so much work and then doesn't make it.
Yeah lucky wouldn't it. No showdown for you. Who knows bud I do wonder what the situation
is that obviously limited information on our end about it. I hope everything's okay
with Jackinho but for Messi's port today it's been a bit of a blessing having
Lumi at least here in the grand final can't argue how impactful he's looked
so yeah bro it's a bit of a weird one can they keep it up though Johnny's
feeds with the investment
these jiggle peekies so you can drop the incendiary and buy a bit of time at three seconds of fire
One frag, quick trade, Nilo looking for two, peppering them.
He's bought just enough time for the rotate to actually get over and assist towards the scene.
Tracking with a Galilla inside a donut.
All three of the CTs grouping up though Vince, they want to go free temple together.
Could still be a bit bumpy here.
Something not a formati of a round is it?
There's still very much of conversation to be had.
And it will be that support that have the more compelling argument.
argument with the FAMASA MP9 spray. It's a nice try from Johnny Speeds. Got another
post plan, they know the finances are low and that's his port. And I suppose when you're
already 11-3 down you're probably thinking screw it, we go again. I would expect them
to go in for another buy here and basically throw everything they have, put all their
chips down on the table and say all in. Just a couple rounds then. Just a couple
rounds from the first in the ground final. We all met his ports. I would leave Anubis
on the docket as the following map and I'm a Raj Desider if we end up there. Plotski
sniffing for information he's been detected. He's going to go both ways as Spooky spotted
him out and knows to try and fight towards Cave and shows a bit of resilience on the
push won't overcommit plays on the outside of the ledge will give time for
that smoke to dissipate sure as you're gonna pick up the bomb put that on his
back nilo just spotting out on me and trying to get information limited
utility left two smokes in the hands of met his port and the first player to
get smoked more literally is sapec as he gets burnt down by bobex d and nilo
could be the dead man walking looking at ready or they swing Vince they take
control towards the ramp one for one trades it's getting messy. Bob XD had no
idea that Nilo was actually in donut but I don't think they have any idea that
Dragon has actually managed to rummage around the back of Temple Eva. A game of
twists and turns between the two teams. The flanker has become a flanked
potentially but Nilo has other ideas he's going on an excavation through
through A main. He's looking for the information and in doing so, he may be relaying a false
narrative here to his teammates that A is clear. They've still got two players over
on B site. Now all three of Johnny's speeds are making news in donor, but there's 10 seconds
left. Unifilo doesn't get all the kills as long as he takes down the bomb carrier
that could be more than enough and the grenade is going to do most of the work for him
and he cleans up the rest. Beautiful work from Nilo and Metisport have nine map
points. So close to placing. One round in the space of nine. You could put it to bed moving
to the next map. Maybe a new bit. There's a coffin. The Johnny Speed has put to bed in for the long slumber.
There's the form that they've had in the grand final has not been up to par to what we saw
throughout the course of the Nordic Masters. But the masterful performance has certainly
been going the way of Metisport. A vastly superior buy going into the sixteenth as well.
AKs, M4s, Kits across the board, all the utility you could hope for.
Whereas on the T side, Johnny Speed's very limited.
Upgraded pistols, two Galils, gaps in the utility.
Gotta put everything together. Potentially make a bit more of a risky play on this one.
You can't play it like a normal rifle round.
Have to see if that confidence comes back into themselves and maybe go for a bolder play.
Deep pre-Red Room smoke goes thrown out towards mid-early, blocking off vision.
Counter utility used as well to try and deny a faster push.
All Pov-XD was hoping to edge on the side of the smoke so he could phase through it and still take the peek but not go.
But the Molotov will tag him.
And that means Sapec could have an easier job of converting to kill.
Needs to stay alive right now. What a shock to off them.
Pov-XD threw the wall, takes the head off.
I need to be repeating this in advantage, especially as you've got players coming up through a cave, but maybe trying to just put this one to bed as fast as possible.
I'm getting desperate to try and finish this game off Metisport. They've been involved in so many OTs. The idea of a clean win is too tantalising.
Some kind of an inter-plane victory can lead to defeat, but Loomi says screw that noise.
He wants 20 plus kills, 21 on the clock so far, tracking goes down to Adam B and Metisport
with the most clinical one-sided victory we have seen in the Nordic Masters, 13-3 on their choice of ancient.
That's insane, by far the most dominant map we've had over the entire of the qualifier.
And it happens in our qualification final with the super sub of Lulee really earning that title of how he played
That's a beautiful sequence as well mate towards the end there
He just running away with things in the digital events fair enough man
Genuinely, I think you know for Metasport how hard they've had to fight to get into this position
With the trials and tribulations you've gone through like we touched them before the only game
They've physically lost throughout the qualifier worse to Johnny speeds on Mirage back in their group stage to make it here
the game there. He was fantastic. And on top of that, everybody from, from Metasport seem to just
be pulling their weight. So yeah, I mean, off that basis, that's a bit of a shocker for me, Jackie.
But I guess the good news, if you are on the side of Johnny Speeds and Nubis up next,
this is one of their best maps. This is their choice. And they're probably starting T side
so they can definitely bounce right back. You'd think so. You'd think so. Let's find out
then we'll come back in after the break. Kick off our second map. Join us for that in a
a few moments time. Is there room for a response from Johnny Speeds or will it be Messi Port
going back to the showdown? Back to the Nordic Masters. Map 2 of the grand final will be underway
shortly. Before that though, let's highlight someone that was a real big piece of the
puzzle for Messi Port in that opening. Matt Vince. A gigantic performance from Lumi.
just unbelievable especially considering his first outing at this
tournament was rough to say the least on Mirage what an unbelievable turn around
this is and just also a thanks to our awesome production Brandon who gave us
some of these other stats as well his KST which by the way for those who aren't
aware is kill assist survival and trade it's how active someone is being in the
the rounds and like how they're coming down was 93 nearly 94 percent. To put that in perspective
anything at 80 to 85 is considered very good. That is a ridiculous stat line. It's crazy man.
Like he was literally single-handedly giving them so much stock in every round involved in a good
majority of the rounds. One being able to pick multi-frag after multi-frag up for the team.
Is it sustainable? You'd hope so. He's still alive in the pistol here. He had some devilishly
good looks in the first half pistol back on ancient and he's got a bit of a timing to
play with these isolated choresy and can you catch him you're gonna find a chest shot can't
quite hit the head just yet three versus four in a retake both of his teammates walking
their way in through dark roll flip to the info up close it's a one-for-one trade nilo
and loony or they're making it happen Vince they are choresy needs to get this one
done they need to clean but he's gonna be fended off by Nilo not for the first
time bodyguarding so one of his teammates can get the all-important
defuse unbelievable turn around again that was like a 2v3 2v4 how do they
keep doing this crazy mate absolutely crazy Nilo limit finding some
sickening shots 4k for Nilo awkward plant as well in terms of how
exposed you are going for the diffuse so good covering being a great wingman to save his teammate.
The Metis port carry on from where they left off winning rounds even in uncomfortable situations
at first on the board for the CT side is going to be huge don't get reset though it's always the
unwritten rule such a cold slap to the face if you win the CT pistol and then lose the conversion
you know there's potential glory just behind it though if you can fend this off
the map that lends itself heavily at times to the t-side
you can get off to a good cp side you are laughing on nubis
choresy though flirting around the smoke but no one's really home to deal with him
anyway they backed off to the site adnb now goes back in for seconds
mp9 perfect in these kind of angles and positions
gonna replenish the smoke as well just to make sure there isn't a litany of t's
waiting to rush him down behind it. Relatively lax to set up on mid, so you are gambling on those
choke points you need to hold back the incoming assailants. Good rotate from Nilo actually,
the molotov's nice, burns about 3.5 seconds off the clock, makes it nice to push in through
camera and if you're not going to control mids you've got to fight for the extremities
and that's just what they do. Kropsky pushes out, takes control, round towards day name,
He keeps pushing though, he's gonna have two separate 1v1s potentially, to the labored
spray sweet, he's a lot of damage for his troubles, Molotov now tossed in, Klopski has
no kit, needs to push and get this kill quickly, otherwise time is going to be his final boss.
Yeah, he's done enough, Smuki, he's clutched this one, should die to the bomb regardless
of the kill, but Johnny Speeds bounce right back into this game.
Every time I've brought it up, watching many sports play, it's been a matter of them
opening to the CT side and then somehow tumbling the bag and getting reset into those second rounds.
It's happened a few times in the game except for the course of the tournament.
This is probably the worst time for it to happen in the second map of the grand final
after having a huge, huge pistol in terms of the response outnumbering the 2B4 that bring it back.
And moving to follow up. The money's going to be in the bin. You've got to force. You know
you're not going to have cash to play with in terms of a sustainable buy for some time now.
so invest what you can.
Deagles and 5-7s alongside a single Famous for Blobski.
Free flashbangs as well.
Don't turn your nose up at those.
There's always room for a flashbang to make a world of difference in these kind of rounds.
Well definitely, Nubis has a lot of close angles as well,
so plenty of opportunities to pop flash into a push with like 5-7s.
Deagles for masses, they're all very powerful in those positions,
so certainly not.
Only speeds should be favorite to win this but things can quickly spiral out of control
That smoke is in a holding position for a little while longer
And now begins to fade and oh sepec with a deagle
Takes the head of racking clean off and the same could be said of Bob XD
Nilo goes back in for another one, but can't quite double up
Love to see that
Beautiful deagle damage done
Saphex really on the bomb site as well, he's on the close angle behind the pillar.
And moving to the back deck, he snuck up and pulled all the attention off of him.
He gave Saphex an opportunity to swing in and deal damage, he couldn't connect the shot.
They line up on the spray, but Plopsky withstands the test.
The eco wars, Vince.
The force back with the Deagles was out to give Metzipor a recovery round.
You see the duality of the Deagle as well, but like two crisp, super clean headshots and
then Sopak just ends up panicking and sprays with his Deagle and doesn't get the kills
after this first beautiful shot that he has to land some connects, but it's ok, he
might just let off his prowl, but his teammates came through for him and just nailed down
these last few fragleties behind the pillar and on jail respectively.
However, due to forced by wars continued, it was not a post plant, Johnny Speeds know
the economy is not great on the side of Metasport, but they cannot justify going in for this.
And it would be a pretty grim buy, regardless.
So, this should be the CTs now getting a little bit of a reprieve.
And I say that, as the one Diggle they've picked up has already sung a death sentence
for Plopsky.
Not breathing anymore, here into round four.
And again, you know, we were singing his praises over the course of the day,
even in the grand final he's looked pretty lethal in some key rounds so shutting him down
might just be the start of an opening a little gap in the doorway
that's beautiful control of the recoil with the mp9 vins he kicks like a mule that gun especially
from distance so being able to control it so much that you can farm up the frags get a bit
of extra money but also make this one look almost like it's guaranteed now so there's
There's no more room for potential upsets where the Glocks can force weapons out of your hand.
So that's the dream scenario here, it's all met his core.
You only want to suffer that one rebuy, any more than that's a bit of a challenge.
Yeah, they're not going to concede any more kills.
That dream nearly turned into a nightmare for Sopec, he's probably off the lap of his teammates.
He put a lot of bullets out of that magazine, he was not panning anything.
Yeah, you're dead on the money man, like the empty line is very difficult to control,
But one of the things that makes Counter-Strike such a uniquely fantastic game is once you do understand the recoil and you start to master it, you can make the MP9 look like it's an easy weapon to use at range, it's absolutely not.
But that's the kind of skill that we're looking at on the server right now, it's the difference that makes between these sort of very high percentage level players and they're just good players.
You can make this kind of weapon work for all the strands that they can possibly get out of it, squeeze out of it.
Adam's gonna be called upon again to put that MP9 to use.
Hey, Cheese's gonna force them back though,
and he does stay alive.
It's really important he does so
because he's the only player
that's even close to the A site right now.
Setting himself up to punish Vince,
but the monotone burns him.
He wanted to smoke it, takes so long though.
Really quick element to put it out is with the underhand.
Shaves off a couple of milliseconds,
but too far gone, he's left cremated
after the burns ward in this round.
Captain Bard back into it, though.
I mean, there's a lot of pretty bright here, Vince.
There's Johnny Speeds.
Down to just two players.
It's Adam V.
Bogdan's himself grabs the orb.
Actually could catch the player, possibly.
Here's gonna be a freebie.
He takes down Churzi, switches back to the MP9.
44 seconds on the clock.
1v1 versus Bracken.
Can Adam V do it?
This is a man that understands his own limitations right here.
He's not an AWP player, and he goes back to a tried and
passed through and tested MP9, but unfortunately the A1S is going to prevail, especially when
you're weakened up and softened up anyway.
The Johnny Speed bounce right back, bringing that economy down.
Yeah, it was a really rough one for Lumi, it felt like he was indecisive for extra seconds.
And that was a difference between him surviving on like 20 HP and just burning entirely
to a crisp.
Very rough outcome considering that the basically cops met to support everything in this round.
Yeah, there's no room for that hesitation at all in CS2, you know, CS3 is looking more
freedom with it, just out of the way, with that instant put out of the monotone, you
could extinguish it, just off the back of the smoke, touching it, more of a delay
in CS2.
Seems intentional at this point with the game nearly being out for about a year now,
and it being that way since the limited test.
Valve haven't commented on it, so you kinda gotta factor that here.
Seems like this is the way it is, you definitely need to be aware of that, and make your mind
up ASAP whenever the monotops come in.
Slow around here for Metasport, you can see from the posturing and how they're walking
around the map, they're having a bit of a chim lag, they're trying to discuss what
they're gonna do when they have money again.
And figure out where you got your stack based off the tells that are being shown
on the T side, because you don't really have much firepower.
If you could keep both of these weapons alive on Plopski and Adam V, then great.
You can have a more affordable buy into the next round.
Or if they walk into the stack, go for it.
We'll see if we can pull off the round.
The outside of this though is we're starting to see that on the other side of the map,
Chorzi is making moves into the B site.
The A site, pardon me.
And so they're going to find out all the information they were looking for.
He's checking the angles, making sure no one's in the smokes.
So at this stage there's no reason to send any of those three players into beat unless they
were trying to deal with the high lighted.
Spray is good for two, but Nilo's gonna put down the Mk10, it's one of the expendable
weapons anyway and he's already got his money's worth out of the gun.
The Rolf is just fine with this outcome, it does mean that maybe Mk10 trades hands
but not entirely sure the Popski's gonna want to use that come the next round regardless
when there could be rifles available. And the bomb hasn't been planted that long ago, so
there's more than enough time for the T's to hunt these down. The issue is though, Jackie,
the money for Johnny's speeds is not great. If I'm losing a Mach 10 for two kills in return,
but if you lose another player or two out of this one, you're in a bit of a rough spot
yourself. You aren't over, Ed, the pudding. Bob XD though, connects his shot from range,
so that's no longer an issue.
It could have been really bad, you know, as much as it's important, it's potentially
denied to you as well, save.
Like you say, if you leave yourself in a worst position off the back of your own sacrifice
and it's trying to go through it, then there's other things to be mentioned.
But, Bob XD makes the best of a bad situation, and they equalize, if in the sign of the
then pause the play-roof on the T side as well if they want to have that little bit of run-and-gun elements to it.
Whereas Metziport,
Toxicurby by,
Eelme on the AWP but no utility, two MP9s again into their full-bys,
two M4s, Zatec to kill,
felt like he was switched on for the engagement with the Barbarians trying their way in.
In order to just deal and damage, Spooky continues to excel as Popski is punished,
And the bomb is being planted.
Nilo, he just stops to get out of there, realizing how dangerous of a position he's left in.
And I think that's going to be the overall sentiment for the team. You've got to save this one.
Yeah, got to save. Come back stronger into the next one.
Again, because Metis Port started this half pretty solidly on Anubis,
if they can squeak out with four or five rounds on this half,
I think they'll be pretty happy with that outcome.
It's a map that lends itself very much to the T side, and we know that they're a strong, aggressive side.
The only factor that we don't have is how loomy fits into this team.
He's not quite had the same levels of impact as we saw in the previous map.
An ancient, of course, but not really a claim for that.
That was just an outstanding performance.
Very few people are going to be able to replicate that one, regardless of their skill level.
4-3, the score, Molly speeds, and we have the advantage.
Can I set the safe weapons?
At this port, they're going to have plenty of risks and threats up against them into this one.
Again though, fair play for the interview. It's always nice to see that Matt is port.
They know when it's time to have a bit of a heads up maneuver, calling the time out,
have a chat, figure out what they need to change.
And it's not the worst flow of the game here.
Anubis, historically a multi-sided map, you'd expect the team to put a little bit further ahead,
especially with some of the unfortunate nature of the rounds they've lost in this one.
You're keeping it close. They've been good in some of the clutch rounds as well,
so they're one of the X's looking pretty tasty. Round 8 goes live. Back into the meat rider.
That's not ideal. Chase down Bob XD, knowing that he has a better weaponry,
and that situation charges against him,
Bane's ruining them, and a rare miss shot.
Blooming, not connecting that one,
as he tries to punish back towards Dark,
would have been his second frag of the round,
and equalize them.
Instead, it's a 4-1-2-4.
Bob XT, the Flankman!
Oh no, he's biting his time the whole way,
and they've forgotten about Bob.
They do have the bomb drop now, just outside of Main.
Twist and turns continue,
but spooky and important kill is gonna go his way.
Now Sopec, trying to hold off and play a bit more aggressive
and make up some space all the timing is so rough.
Will he recheck his angle?
No, and he gets punished for it from Chosy.
Adam B is gonna go uncontested
for a few more seconds here.
They know the bomb is still out on name
and spooky with the off angle
has him down in the bold rooms.
Super close though for Metisport,
Taking control of that valve and making it there.
Quite a crazy round with the sequence of events we saw there.
In that phase of Bob XD, in terms of his opening gandit, going for a very speedy push onto mid,
you get that opening frag vs. Plopski, and then all the commotion,
he doesn't make his way round the back and cause you many issues.
Toy with a timing, shut down Lumi that could have been the difference maker.
So 5-3, Johnny's speeds leading by two rounds.
As Bob XD identified a weakness of mid here, what he needs to do is to attack. The flashbang from his teammate is great.
Bob XD will punish again for an opening pick. You're putting so much pressure on mid.
If you control mid on the T side of an UB, it does give you a whole another layer of freedom for those quick rotations.
You can hit A site through camera, you can backpedal drop through dart, and it means that Mexico have to over gamble on their CT side setups.
set-ups. Three players in the A site, only a sole defender in hand of B, up on the elevated
angle towards the B site. There's at least a pickup, you find dropping down towards the
depths. And Nilo adds another one as well. This went from looking like a pretty good T side
round to a bit of panic and just choresy and spooky left. They're also worried about
potentially being pushed round the back as well. That's where the bomb was spilled
down from the aggressive push. They have to go and retrieve this first, then
and try and move together over on the A side here
because two of them, and the last two of them,
with the bomb and 35 seconds are in close vicinity.
In doing so, when it's put, I've given this one up,
Adam's waited for the rest of the troops to arrive here,
and now he has a bit of feedback from Lumi's AWP.
Two of them can try and push together.
He's on a simple angle to watch out for first,
and then kind of look down the middle,
pushing through the smoker one for one trade.
An important one at that,
If that was a 2 for 0 in favour of Johnny Speeds, that is a winnable round kind of taking shape
but instead, Mattis Port get the job done and they keep three players alive.
Potential then.
Maybe there is still room for the two mappers in our ground final.
Speeds certainly scrapping to try and take us to the promised land of Mirage, the Ferdinand final map.
If Johnny Speeds can return fire and claim a map here.
in our qualification final.
The last available spot of the Blast Showdown
is what they're playing for. Two stiff days of competition
for both of these teams, and it all ends here.
Qualification Wednesday. Early utility thrown towards
the extremities trying to hold back any speedy plays
from Johnny Speeds. Chorsey's testing it though, Vince.
little bit confident for this one overstays his welcome though and fair play to Adam D.
I've got to say that he's been really impressive in the clutch rounds and the way that you
shared discipline and crosshair placement over the past two days. It's been a beautiful
time watching something like this. 100% totally agreed with you. Didn't know much about
him coming into this tournament to be completely honest but I am certainly a fan. I've been
won over by the way he conducts the counter ways. Never really leans into desperation
it feels like plays the percentages. Cool customer. He cheat out, gonna take some damage
off of Rolf and looming through to small puts him down. Nice counteractive frags though
for Bob XP. 2v3 now and we're dragging making moves out of Dark Moon in the connector. This
could be a post-plant interpotential victory. Bob's gonna get aggressive behind the Molotov,
can't deny the bomb plant, there's still 30 seconds but he's biding his time for
Adam, Adam's coming in, Adam's gonna shut down the bomb planter once again.
And now between the two of them they can just play with Bob XT who pulls the bomb out at the worst possible second
and will be punished with his life, all even at five to five.
Oh man, that almost felt like water picker.
That kid looks so brutal.
He walks over the bomb instantly, picks it up.
Oh, that's a pain in the backside.
I don't know if he's gonna make much of a difference, but super uncomfortable for him,
all things considered in that situation.
Goes down to 1v2, Bob XD as well, he's been such a powerhouse, so... rough.
Remesi poor though, you're gonna be happy, I mean 5-5 Vince, it's a completely different
game now, for the hour of his points going.
Even if this is a really close half, equalize it, maybe in the region of 6-6, you have
a 5-4 fight, it's gonna be happy, Milo blind, but still deadly on point.
Zappek, he's gone undetected at the jail.
And yeah, that is a criminal activity.
He finds two frags, only just traded out.
Chausie brings the Clausies out as he'll slice his way through.
Bob XD!
Woah, he's in the smoke!
Eventually finds the head, switches off the Mach 10, we're down to a 2v2.
I have no idea what the hell just happened.
Don't add him for him too!
Apparently not though, and Nilo says screw it.
And fireproof.
Straight through.
frag down onto bobex d, stops him from properly getting locked in with their post plant positions
and shawzi on a measly 9 hp is trying to play on a bit of a sneaky angle, catch them off guard
nilo may fall prey to this one as the first kill comes in but too low hp
it was a bridge too far and the bridge has collapsed on shawzi, met his port with another
successful defuse and they actually edge in the lead on the CPU side of the movie!
Oh what a topsy toffee game! Also you know I really hope most of our viewers tuning in
not on heart medication or at least have their pacemakers put in vents because these are heart
attack rounds that we're seeing. Some of these awkward misplays mate! It's all a bit bumpy
isn't it? You know, we've saved the carnage till the grand final it seems and six to five
Mesiport at least being able to put themselves back into a comfortable position. Now Johnny
Speeds, can you equalize? Is this going to be four rounds on the trot? Further port?
Or will it be Speeds coming back with a response? Bit of a broken by though,
Vins to be real, but like double deagle, Rolf on the mat here and two AKs, gaps in the utility
as well. You've only got three players with a full NA set. Four smokes though at least,
Vins, so they do have some room to play with if they go for a side take. Yeah, but I mean,
no disrespect here at Chorsey, but if I'm on the joint speeds, I'm hoping he drops that
AK across to Spooky, you know? Spooky is definitely the rifle that you want to
It's kind of a weapon and he just catches the shoulder around the corner dragon boat
Nobbling up his armor takes very little damage compared to what I thought he was going to there once they just thought he was a dead man
They just tanks it shrugs it off
Adam with a well-timed smoke is gonna keep the teas
guessing and also I was just looking at the stats as well on this one about you know how we're talking
you know the T side versus CT side 64% T round wins for Johnny speeds on anubis 50% on their CT side
so Metasport already in a very good spot and if they can extend to a 7-5 lead
I think it could be in for a 2-0 but maybe Draken's going to take that one away
removes Klopsky through the smoke they can trade up to his weapon as well
Did you an extra gun to work with?
The T side getting a better buy, the longer round 12 goes on.
Denying a 7-5 would be gargantuan for the more sapec with a timing.
Flash it through the smoke, peeks out, one for one, trade is rolled for bite back.
It's a big advantage for the Ts though Vince.
It would have been even better if Lumi wasn't able to punish with the AWP but
he's dialed in.
Scopes up, strikes back.
That one frag is enough to cascade them away from the site.
They barrel back towards A instead, feeling uncomfortable about this play.
Have to make a late switch, and Nilo's ready like a book, he's on the bomb site, that's
the bomb plant, a peeking, Draken needs to give it over to Spooky, will make some sort
of heads up play.
Go for the plant himself, nade him, it's gonna leave him low, 76 HP on the 3 vs 3,
a retake round now for the CT side.
This is so important for Johnny Speeds. They've got to convert this round, big grenade, spooky drops down, flashbang is good, forces away Nilo, and he gets caught in transition, and as Spooky gets both, they line up for him.
Looking good now for Johnny Speeds to clutch out on this one on three, and they shut it down with authority. Two Deeks, a couple of AKs, and a Mach 10, and they've made it work.
and some real terrifying scenes where funny speeds, power is spooky, you can be so
lethal with an AK in its hands they once again rise to the top and reset six to
six score lines straight down the middle at the half. Bob XD with the doolies the
dual 9-elevens those barrettas ready the fire off track and gets contact out
He's got the fast spot, taking the peek in, really felt like he over commits to the 5 wins, he subbed up on it, Adam B and Lumi, but head to first, still a minute and 30 on the clock as well so you're going to have to commit to anything here on this pistol, they've been given a lot of freedom on this.
I think we just saw the fine line between confidence and over extension there from Dragon.
It's great to get a couple picks off but going back in over and over again when you've got multiple players staring you down.
That's not put his team into a great spot here, it's really, they're stretched and thin and they decide actually the best recourse is to just stick together.
Whatever happens if it's a post-plat, doesn't matter, let's play together as a format.
Smoke now going to be coming out onto the site.
They're quickly wrapping around, they're going to hear the smoke in the distance, they're going to know what's coming up.
coming up and the A is the site of choice. Wait, are they gonna wrap or I'll stop for
a second they're gonna wrap to B through CT spawn. I was like are you guys mad men? No
they don't, they lock it in but here come Johnny Speeds.
Nilo's the early warning system, he dies around the corner. Nice trace, I mean the
headshot on to bovex D at least buys a bit of time. It's gonna be a very rough
free take. Johnny speeds, trying to tap the bomb to force the peek out. Two frags though.
You know what? Maybe this is actually winnable now. 1v1, time's tight on it so Rolf realizes
he's got to stick the bomb. Taps it again to try and bait the peek out. Adam B's gonna
realize he's not on it. Round goes down. Unfortunate for them. They win out in the
jewels but in the 1v1 with no kit, it's gonna be so ruthless. There's no reason
I don't mean to take that fight
And then we'll take this
But I have straight it looks a bit uncomfortable, but a pistol round them the less things and that's the most important piece
And again, it's that man, isn't it? I don't be with the clutch
Clarity in chaos
Just little jump up onto the half wall just to get extra layer of verticality so we could see that the bomb wasn't being diffused
And then he just backed off
Such a smart guy, you can see from the way he plays the game, he's very cerebral, he's constantly thinking.
Hence all the clutches that he's pulling off, and the fact that they're comfortable enough to leave him as that anchor player in most of these sites as well, I don't think that's a coincidence.
I'll play by him, give him Metasport a great opportunity now to extend their lead if they can bounce through this four-spy from Johnny Speeds.
Scout in play Dragon does love to use this one of the few ops that does run and die with the scout an MP9 that gets put to use
But Chausie could only land damage and no kills
Johnny Speeds losing Chausie
Is that gonna be the straw to break the Camels back if there was any chance of an upset rounds with the investment into the Eagles
Is losing him mean they don't really have enough to the bolster defense and we've on the 5050 gamble
they have played their cards right, Metisport do want to push into the stacked bomb site.
And they've already been able to pull off the rotate round for Bob XD.
He gets it with a 5-7 in tow.
Spooky. On the eagle.
That is going to be terrifying.
Even Bob assists with a whack onto the head of Plopsky.
There's the triple threat.
The reply that might have just saved them.
Tons of damage done.
And Dragon's the only one that remains.
Vince recoils away with the scout,
Scout realising things went from looking achievable to outright impossible in the matter of three
kills.
There's a couple moments there though Ducky I'm sure Metas Ports' hearts were in their
mouths.
When that Deagle and 5-7 ripped into a killer part, before Metas Pocky got those counteractive
kills it was looking like they just ran head first into a brick wall, laced with barbed
wire and bear traps all around. They've got themselves an eighth round, dracking, maybe
are to hold onto the scout but there's not going to be much to play with alongside that.
We heard today that Chacrinho would not be playing with Betasport, we feared that maybe
they would get slumped in the semi-finals 2-0. When we heard that he was playing with
them again in the finals even though he had moments and flashes of some good stuff
in their previous game in the semis, I've got to admit I feared that Johnny Speeds
may run over met this port but Lumie's made a believer out of me after that
ancient performance and he's still chugging along and having impact here on
an Uvis. Yeah his clutch potential has been through the roof you know like the
hell I mean ancient Vince he was the star player by far but here it's just the
impact right even if he's not top dog he's still getting impact frags he's
having huge influence in the rounds that they are winning and that's what
matters in Counter-Strike in the grand scheme of things. It's not always how
how many kills you got cause he's all at you to kill so you can pick up and he's had some
great A beef.
And that is 4 though but can you do it again?
Is there going to be any room for a little upstair they can dangerous approach to these
rounds.
It's a rough start for a good recovery they know there's a second player that was on
top of the totem pole as well so we'll have them bit by bit they find those frags
It's only trawling the people
And a knife on the board there we go pull ahead again
What do you want casualty so then money is building up ever so much
after this plant
Sapec easily replenishing his gun all the pressure
Is firmly on the shoulders of Johnny Speaks met his pork can afford to lose a couple of rounds and continue to buy
Johnny Speeds have their back against the wall and Dragon for the first time on the CT side
Will have the AWP by his side, but he's going to need to have impact a flat performance on ancient
He can't afford to have those in a row. They're exchanged towards mid, but it's the triple threat
Let's put that look to
Gav
Spray down from Bob XD not gonna be able to deal enough damage Nilo hits the head and gives them space
Smoke part of the camera, choresy, up close and personal, that's a rough miss.
Dragon only good for one in the carnage.
So Metis Port again, they slide their way into the A site, find security and a bomb
plant and Johnny Speeds once again, feel the cruel twist of the knife vince as a
The 10th is almost a guarantee now for Metasport with Johnny Speeds sat down with still just
six rounds to their name and a relatively broken by even with two players saving going
into the next.
It's not going to be the dream for them whatsoever.
Yeah, not for the first time as well, while Jackie we see this kind of position from
a player where they need to get at least one kill.
And that was Chosy in this round.
He's watching cams, Dragon's back is exposed because he's watching a man as a result.
Chosey gets nothing from that.
Barely any damage onto young coming 3 teats but rushing down.
That's not good enough, he has to get a 1v1 trade bare minimum.
Because Dragon did get a shot off and get a kill.
But at that point it was just too far gone.
And this is happening over and over, we saw the same thing happen in middle.
They had a player in mid, I think it was Rolf.
Spray down a double doors, bit of damage but no kill.
They can't keep hemorrhaging frags like this.
That's gotta be clean.
They need to win rounds and win them with both floretsies
They can actually build up a bit of a bang to try and have some kind of comeback here
Four rounds to equalize the game if they concede three more
That's met his port with a two-oh victory in their spot of the blast showdown a hundred percent guaranteed
We'll be able to compete
And once again met his port look like they're getting closer and closer for running it back for another showing of the showdown
Last time they had some notable results, upset wins against teams like Saw, and with a huge
upset over Johnny Speed's now lingering over them Vince, used to say how far they can go
in the showdown this time around.
And Nilo is playing some lights out, can't strike.
His entry fragging in this round alone was ridiculous, 23 kills to his name, so much
impact for Nilo. He's been highlighting a couple of times over the duration of the last few days,
but I think this is really where we're starting to see just what this young man is capable of.
Very impressive work there from him. Just feels like MetaSport are reaching a different level
right now. They are feeling it there in the flow state. Look at this from Nilo. First pick,
super quick. Second down in corn, no problems, and he goes back in for seconds.
by himself locks this round away from Johnny speeds they didn't have a chance
super drill it's really clinical cancer strike and individually you can just see
how much they want this man hitting some gray shots the combat potential has
been through the roof resilience today as well with the amount of overtime
games they've had to play through their semi-flying move and make it here to
to take on Johnny Speeds.
Moving to the super sub.
Once again strikes the lightning bolt,
cracks down on the spooky.
Rolf will buckle,
dragon slaying.
And Bob XD,
he won't be smiling after that attack from Sapper,
cleans him up.
It's just Chausie left.
Grand final point, Vince, is one frag away.
And there's gonna be six of them in total for Mattisport.
he is hoping and praying he can maybe save his M4. Best case scenario is kill an AK
wielding player and take that out of the round. Zero percent chance of a clutch on
the opposite side of the map of course and by the way if Mattis Port do go ahead
and just lock this one down as we're expecting the way they're playing right
now, beating TSM and Johnny Speeds in two consecutive best of threes is a very
legit run to the qualifier. Very legit indeed. I don't think many people would have fancied
them here to get this one done. They're proving a lot of the naysayers wrong.
It'd be a five-match win streak with the only team they trapped preceding that. Being
their very match-up in groups up against Johnny Speeds where they played on Mirage
and lost the opener. So incredible form from them since then shown resilience
and had win after win after win. One round now, showdown point and they make it to
blast. Can Johnny's speeds deny an upset to the bloated bar, with a skin seen on the
B main push but two quick frags Vince. It seems like they're getting ready to
Blast off, and Spooky goes down, Nilo again, performs.
The showdown beckons and only Chorzie and Bob XT can say anything in retaliation.
Both of them stuck on the CT side.
Healthy players up against them and five of them in total.
No real utility to bounce back on the site with.
The curtain surely beginning to come down and it's picking up pace.
as only Bob remains and try as he may, Mettisport get it done and they will qualify for Blast Premier Fall Showdown.
Mettisport have done it. Another chance of the showdown. They've been there before Vince and once again they qualify
to compete online with teams such as FaZe, Virtus.Pro, Heroic, Complexity, Falcons, NIP, Big, Payne, MAT, Gameallegent,
Zero Tenacity, Amkal, Cloud9, OG, RareAtom, and finally, our last team now making it through off the back of the Nordic Masters, Metisport.
Mate, that's a hell of a run, but the last spot at Blast, and they take it with authority. A 2-0, Vince, clean cut.
They made it look easy in the end. They made Johnny's speeds look like an ordinary team, and these guys have been lighting it up online as of late.
one of the best informed teams in online counter strike and they just blitz through them. Yeah.
Was it 16 three and 16 five 16 six something like that. They just absolutely crushed them
in both maps and made it look comfortable. So impressive man so so impressive. No it's insanity
actually insanity you know you think about basically how this qualifier run started for them
some of the teams that we were looking at the level of competition we're expecting good
things from sashi wondering where it's going to be shaping up over the course of both the
group days and instead now we finally know what the ranking is looking like based on the teams that
we had going in it. TSM, Static, Bleed, all of these names that really we thought were going to be
able to show up and do some damage vins but in the bracket play Metasport was so far ahead even
in the game versus TSM right. I know they were arduous, I know they were long games, they were
OTs back to back but that was still a clean 2-0. They're the only side of the bracket that
sweep through not dropping a map here on Wednesday.
No, precisely in the one map they did lose as you highlighted,
they probably should have won.
Yeah, it went to OT.
They actually had every chance to just win that in regulation,
and they kind of let it slip.
So having a roster change in the middle of the tournament with
Lumie coming in, well done to you as well, by the way, Lumie.
Like, rough first map, look pretty dire.
We're thinking, oh no, it's going to be one of these situations.
That ancient performance was nothing short of probably the best
individual performance we saw in the entire tournament for one map. I don't say he's been
eclipsed by anybody in the duration of this. Maybe Drackin would have one with his 31,
he dropped a Mirage in double OT or whatever it was. But I think for the amount of impact
he had and the way he bounced back in the grand finals as well on the first map, you
can't really say that Lumi did anything wrong at all in that.
No, arguably the MVP of the grand finals for them, specifically without one series,
you know, I mean just off the entry performance with how he played it, can't take anything
away from him, bud. And all that matters at the end of the day, Vince, who got the blast spot,
they did. I don't think you're going to care about any of the struggles, any of the rough maps,
any of the overtimes, as they know they're going back to the showdown. They've already made the
most of this last time, you know, like I was saying, you've took wins against Saw, you've
had some good runs. They were able to even dismantle, if you remember the simple appearance
on the Falcons roster, when they wanted to have their run on showdown, right? That was
met his port that upset them knocked them out the only team to dismantle simple in cs2 and with some
slight changes they're back at the showdown again vince really excited to see how they perform that's
going to be the 21st to 25th of august the next in the blast circuit you're not going to want to
miss that one vince i know we're going to be hyped for it 100 and i can't wait and i'm sure
these teams can't wait to get on the server and show what they can do especially teams like
like medicine ports. You're tenacity. We also have the pleasure of casting those qualifiers
and seeing those guys locked their way in. So I'm sure these guys are rubbing their hands.
They can't wait to get in there and show what they can do on the global stage.
Absolutely. It's going to be a real treat. Well, there you go. That's all of our teams
now locked in the blast premiere qualifiers for the showdown. Once again, come to
an exciting conclusion, but the showdown itself will be starting in just a couple
weeks time. Keep it locked, of course, to all the blast social media to stay
aware with when exactly things are kicking off. And thanks so much to our amazing producer Brandon
that made all of this possible over the past few days and made us look so bearable on camera.
If you've enjoyed ourselves, drop the channel a follow. Outside of that though,
me and Vince will see you again soon for some more exciting blast counter-strike.
We'll catch you later on.
