I've gotten a few comments, especially over for whatever reason, over the past 24 hours
I've gotten comments about people feeling betrayed that we're playing Marathon instead
of Destiny.
But I'm telling you guys, we would be playing Destiny if there was things to do in Destiny,

All right. So guys, I wanted to address two of the most common questions that we have gotten
in the string since playing marathon.
Question number one, what do I even keep?
Question number two, should I even risk any of my good gear?
The quick and easy answer, yes and yes, as in keep everything, use everything.
And I know for a player out there to sit in there and you're clutching your purple or
maybe gold items, if you didn't have those and you're thinking to yourself, the fuck
I will.
What I can tell you right now though, is that even after myself losing multiple gold items
already, you will get them back.
You will eventually get them back.
And if anything, you not using your best stuff is detrimental to you and the leveling process.
Let me go ahead and just show you a little bit of what's happening here.
Inside of each one of these rank up paths, okay, you will eventually reach a point where
you can buy prestige items, all right?
For each of them.
is probably the easiest to get to, you essentially just have to do the priority contracts, go
through the entire priority list, get the rank, I think up to rank 20, some may require
VIP ranks, but you just keep ranking up in each of these factions.
And then when you go over here to the Armory, you'll notice in the Armory that eventually
once you get all of these unlocks, you'll be able to buy various gold items.
I'm not there yet, because I've just been kind of spreading myself thin.
But today, we're going to really just know live tracks is to get to the point where we
can buy these gold mods.
Now tracks is specifically really good because this is on a daily rotation.
So for instance, what is this one right here?
This is a custom made mod for the Magnum, okay?
Yesterday was for Strider, the minor multi-tool of this game.
And so this is on a daily rotation.
Okay, so the point I'm trying to get to you is as time goes on and as everybody is upgrading
their factions and getting kidded and getting these massive loadouts and risking it because
at the end of the day, the goal is to go in and to Xville successfully, which is going
to result in you at least running up against another team.
Even if you're ratting out, you're probably going to run up against another team and
You need things to ensure victory against that of the team.
And one of the best ways to ensure victory
is having your best stuff.
But I want you to get past the gear fear aspects.
Because as the season goes on, we're
going to reach a certain point where every lobby is going
to be slam full of purples and slam full of golds.
I'll give you a great example.
Yesterday, we were in a 3v3 v3 match, essentially it was our team against another team against
another team.
Everybody was just like killing the shit out of each other.
Benny was the last one alive.
Benny ran out of ammo and a Rook who waited and ratted out that entire time showed up
and killed him.
Now what did that Rook just walk away with?
He walked away with infinite purpose.
He also walked away with five golds.
The reason why I bring that up is that may be a rare thing today, but a week from now,
two weeks from now, especially when we get into cryo archive, look runs right like bats
may not be super common, but way more, way more possible to happen over a set of 10
right where you can walk away with bank and gold Ips
If anything
One of the best ways to get gold items in this game is let the no-lifers grind that shit and
Then just wait for the right moment
Wait for the right moment man sneak up behind the Morat amount, right?
as time goes on though and
Gold items and the best of purple items will become more and more plentiful and I think one of the best things about
Marathon is actually playing as
Kitted out as you could possibly play I lost my gold mods yesterday here, which really sucks
But during that time frame I got to really lean into those gold cores and see how powerful they are as a
Desi player this is a problem to you because you're like no the idea of losing my stuff sounds terrible
But, one of the most fun aspects of this game is playing with those gold mods, playing with
those gold cores, implants, whatever, because it changes the game up so much for you.
It's almost like the equivalent inside of Destiny of like, adding an entire new aspect,
or a kit of fragments, if you will, right, to your subclasses.
Imagine not having those things.
Imagine not having Consecretion Slang without knockouts, right?
It would just, it would suck.
So the point I'm trying to make is, as you get more and more kitted out, risk it, dude.
Risk it.
So that if I kill you, I could possibly get my shit back.
No, no, no.
I don't really know, though.
Don't be hoarding stuff, guys.
I feel like maybe like arc raiders, we hoarded too much shit.
And there was also just not a huge reason for me to bring in some of the gold weapons
because, you know, they were meant for PvE. Whereas in this game, the gold weapons, the
gold mods, the gold cores and implants, man, they make such a big difference. They make
such a big difference. Now, on the topic of what should you keep? That's actually been
probably even more often asked in here than anything else.
I would say this because vault space is very constraining bungee obviously did this purposely
and I'm really bungee.
I wish you guys would chill with that shit like come on vault space right now is even
even with all the I've got almost all the upgrades and even with all the upgrades and
some people are going to like cross quit hoarding.
No, you cannot tell me that vault space right now is where it needs to be.
But on the topic of what should you keep, it really starts with your factions, guys.
We talked about this the other day in our 14 tips, but go through here and as you start
looking at materials like this right here, make sure you're tracking these.
Always make sure you're tracking these, okay?
And those are the materials you keep.
If I had to sit there and remember and write down that I need reclaimed bio stripping while
I'm out in the field, getting shot at and waiting for some damn cheesy rat bastard to come up
behind me, there ain't no way in hell.
Mark this shit, boys.
Mark it.
You literally press, in this case, I don't know what it is for a controller.
You press R to track, you press R to track and then boom, you know exactly when you're
the field because you'll get a little icon next to the item, you'll see it while you're out there
and you're like, okay, I need this, I need this, I need this and that way you know which things to
keep. Now that's for materials. Even for the items that you don't have tracks, I would go in,
start pollen because you're eventually going to need them. There's going to be some blue
materials by these, these, these, you know what I mean? That you're eventually going to need
as well. I always like to collect materials. Purple materials, the exact same thing. The
biggest issue I have with purples is bungee doesn't allow you to stack more. I think it's
tin, which is very, very annoying. I don't know why they do that, but I would just get
at least to a stack of tin of these purples, right? As far as everything else, like I
have a lot of just like implants here, and I just try to get rid of dupes. That's
That's pretty much all I try to do.
If I see a dupe, I try to get rid of it.
But there needs to be a constant graduation process.
And what that means is you'll have a bunch of green mods.
Eventually, though, you'll look up and they'll be blue.
And then you'll see them migrating to purple.
As you are getting more and more leveled, and especially you're getting your factions
upgraded because your factions are going to give you access to so many things so many mods so all
across the board dude implants a lot of this stuff you could just start getting rid of and then as
far as weapons go I personally try to keep one of everything but one really spec'd out version of
like a fully modded version of each of these weapons and if it's a really good weapon I'll
keep to. Like I may keep two BRs or I'll keep two M77s. And that's just because those weapons are so
good that if I load back in, I would want a calf one. Right now I have two outlands. In this case,
I should probably strip that purple mod off and sell this outland and instead just keep this one.
I'm pretty shocked when they're agonized and say, yeah, I would just say guys for this
for what weapons I've tried to keep a little bit like one of not everything, but things
that I would throw into my loadouts outside of like this car request.
I don't really like our quest is why we don't even use it, but I got to go mod for
it and it's only usable in this.
But if it's a weapon that you are like it's one of your favorite weapons or that you frequently
use might want to keep two of those then just keep it fully loaded up.
By the way you do save space in your vaults by throwing mods on your weapons.
So make sure you are saving the space throw some mods on it.
Anyways guys as you're continuing to level up your factions you'll notice that there's
There's just so many weapons that are available to purchase.
You'll be able to buy implants.
You'll be able to buy bat packs.
You'll be able to buy shields, guys.
Like, I mean, you'll be able to buy everything across the board once you continue to level
things up.
And I really don't want you stressing too much about gear fear because you're going
to get it back.
You're going to get it back, dude.
I've got no room for anything.
Is there an encumbrance limits?
No, it's just purely a space limits.
a little different for you because you run with the stack team, but I agree for the most part.
Well,
I won't lie. That does help. I mean, ain't a bullshit about that. Having a biny and frostbite on your
team, having a shroud on your team, that shit helps without a doubt.
You know, my question to you guys, what's, what, what is more preferred?
You running in with a fill squad of randoms, are you going in solo?
Parsley, because you just don't know who's going to jump in your squad and trio's the
stuffer.
If I wasn't forming with a dedicated team, I would probably be just doing solo runs.
we've actually done solo runs on here. And I primarily do solo runs and just focus on faction
quests. You're definitely gonna run into fights for sure, without a doubt. And so I find that
I would prefer to just rely on myself rather than rely on two randoms that you just don't
know what you're gonna get. At the same time, you might get two people that are
great at the game. They might be extremely friendly. They might be great people to play
with. So I don't want you to lean away from possibly playing trios with randoms, you know
what I mean? But if you're sitting there asking like, what should you risk if you
don't have a dedicated squad? Maybe not everything.
But this game, if I was to just be like, all right, I'm going to stick with blue shields,
you know, a green shotgun and the most basic version of maybe my BR right here, or even
my M77.
Do you realize how much these weapons change when you've got purple mods on them?

you guys in. Think of the countless quota in runs or raid runs. I pull you guys and my

me? Uh, minimum. You just need to know kind of what you're doing and have done the raid
once maybe twice. You fuckers joined up on me and what ends up happening. What should
be an hour long raid terms into a nine hour shift.
And what happens is, is as we're in the midst of getting as fucked, that's when the truth
starts to come out.

So that's the point I'm trying to get across
use your gear to potentially give you a shot a chance an
An opportunity to take out those high tier teams and then eventually we will all reach a point in the season
Where everyone everyone is going to be very kitted out
Even the people that are not kitted out all you have to do if you're not kitted out. It's just get lucky once
You're gonna reach a point where you're gonna kill someone in this game. You're gonna rat some fucker
And he's gonna be loaded down. He's gonna have a gold weapons gold gold cores gold implants
gold shields. Now you could take all that stuff and go put it in your vaults and
be like oh look at my vaults look at my gold sheets or you can actually use it
and I'm telling you missing out if you're not using it. So that's it guys that
just wanted to address those two things. Use your stuff and constantly be
graduating your vaults. Definitely definitely go after sci-ac and get of
course you gotta you definitely need to go after sci-ac and get the vault
increases because baseball size is just not big enough. This expansion you have to do 1,000%.
Make sure you're tracking your materials and have a graduation process where as you start
to see more and more of the higher tier color items that you're picking up, pick those up.
As far as cores go, I'm going to be honest, you may be jumping around a bunch of different
characters. If that's the case, then I guess keep a lot of cores. But I mainly just keep
like, for instance, I'm keeping the superior core here for destroyer. And then I keep a
bunch of triage. I keep a bunch of triage cuz that's what we play in our squad, it's
triage.
Use your go weapons and streamer. I have, this thing's not good, dude. No, for real.
This thing's not good.
I do not like Conquest, Infinity Mag, Elimination Grant and Ammo directly to the magazine increases
rate of fire for a short duration.
This thing might be good, it's probably, it's good in PvE, and it's gonna, it might
be good in the cryo archive.
But against other players, Retaliator is just better.
No, all LMGs are as?
Absolutely not, brother.
He's in my opinion one of the best LNGs in the game one of the best weapons in the game you get a shield guys

Retaliators is in my opinion one of the best weapons, but conquest it's like sweet business. You know what I mean?
You just got it you got to ramp it up and the problem is against good players
years, they're not going to peak you that long. You know what I mean? They're going to
be sniping. They're going to be coming in and out of cover. And so that's my issue with Congress.
How much ammo do you keep in the vault? Oh, on the topic of ammo and heels, I buy it
every time, boys. I buy it every time. Look, I'll keep a little bit in here, but as
you get your faxes and stuff upgraded, you're going to reach a certain point where a lot of
this stuff, you'll be able to get for free every day. You'll be able to claim these free things.
And then the rest you just buy. And so is it expensive? Yes. But your vault should,
I don't want to look at your vault and it be full of shields and heels. I know I got some
heels down here, but it should not be that way, okay? You need to be,
be, um, you need to have a small amount, right? But you also just need to be topping things
off directly, um, here in the store. Yeah. And keep in mind, guys, the border system
here is really nice as well. All of these items up here, when you see this, this is
for money, but all these items up top, this is all mortar stuff.
So if you reach a certain point where you've got all the various upgrades done, some of
these are terrible.
Like I would never do that.
But if you reach a certain point where all of these are done, all these materials you've
used are no longer needed, then just barter these things out.
The last tip I would give, I know we have an entire tip video and this is really supposed
just be addressing those two things. You should always bring a self-revive. Hear me out on
this, boys. And dare I say, yes, three of them. Okay. At least two, maybe three. Always
bring a self-revive. You never know when shit's going to hit the fan, and you need
it's a you need to revive yourself.
