Look guys, here's what you need to understand
when it comes to review structures in any game
there are critic reviews, and then
there's user reviews. The problem with
user reviews is normally they'll get bombed.
User reviews aren't necessarily
bad right here, but normally user reviews
will get bombed for whatever reason.
The critic reviews, though...
I mean not that you should always just trust
critic reviews and there are times
where critic reviews are
certain games that
you're like, oh How did I hit that?
The reason why I'm bringing this up right now
is because for years
from the outside
looking in
as the Destiny community, we have been told
we were crazy.
I've been point blank told
dude, why do you keep doing this?

You keep playing the same game
expecting something different to occur.
Bungie's just gonna keep making mediocre shit and keep giving you mediocre shit.
But I think as a community, we all said that there would be a way.
There would come a day where the stars would in fact align and we would get that perfect expansion now not saying that
this entire expense is completely part obviously server issues day one was
terrible but let's let's let's just let's just run through all the things that they did get right.
The campaign, great. I think the narrative actually
grew with us.
It felt like it was meant for
us, it was meant for the hardcore players.
When you got people like Bythe and Mylon coming
out saying that the campaign
hit them everywhere where it needed to hit
war-wise, that is a fantastic
sign. There was no
let's baby this down
or make it appropriate for whatever age group.
Not that it was inappropriate at all for certain age groups, but the point is
it grew with us as an audience and I felt like it challenged us
throughout the campaign, especially in the moments where Zavala was struggling
with his own faith. I mean, these are
deep, interconnected
narratives that
you wouldn't be able to appreciate
on the surface. You have to sit back and be like,
okay, what is the struggles
of Valas going through right now?
He's in the haunt.
We've learned about his family.
We understand his heartache.
Why is his faith shook right now?
And the fact that C his role reversed instead of zavala being
the parent he's suddenly a parent in a lot of this and there were so many moments just
by the campfire that you got to explore those relationships. All right, so narrative
from
the campaign really, really good
and the lead
up to the day one raid, fantastic.
I question whether or not doing a rate so quickly after the launch of
the final shape would be good and the reason why this ray was so important is because
the story itself we could not get an actual conclusion to the story until we've been in the ring.
The craziest thing Bundy has done is they have tied in the narrative into the raid,
and then the moment someone beat the rail, that's
whenever the cutscene unlocked for everyone
else in the game. Almost as if
almost as if the next
scene afterward made sense
because the scene that followed right afterward
was us storming the gates
and dealing the final blow
to the witness. And I love
that scene right there because it was as if
everything there made sense.
Zavala literally was like a fire
team had already gone in, had
dealt a lethal blow to the witness. Now
we're here to finish him off and not
only did we go there to finish him off we went there to finish them all at the
12-man fire team and we've been asking for like a 12-minute activity for forever now and it wasn't
it was an epic mission i mean we had. You had the whole gang up in there.
Alright.
That
was the last thing
I expected. I expected us to
kill The Witness in the raid,
cut Cena and March,
And then that was it.
I was not expecting us
to have 12-man activity right after her.
It was laggy as fuck though.
Yeah, turned out it was lag like if you were with the team
if you just went in there and if you went in there with uh as a solo player
and just got matched up you were good the only person that was not there
in the excision mission
to take down the witness was Shawhan,
which I don't know why.
I'm not saying Shawhan
is an important character. He's very much forgotten but but
where the was shell hawk like what was he just chilling in
the cosmo drum bun he literally showed every character
in destiny history except shaw even salad man was there.

Alright, other than that not that any of us care about Shohan but
he was very much left out all right so then to have that epic mission the 12
the 12-man team at the blasting it by blasting the witness we reach a point where our ghost
sacrifices itself, and
we all blast the witness at
maxed out numbers,
and that's the killing blow. Now there was
a lot of things that happened in that moment.
Number one are ghost sacrifices stuff.
Number two,
The Witness, as Mike pointed out,
it had a moment where it was saying
we don't understand,
we don't understand,
we... I don't understand. We don't understand. I don't understand.
Dude, that
is such
huge moments like that.
Even in the raid while we were playing
the raid day one, I couldn't believe what the... So we were playing the raid day one,
I couldn't believe what the witness said. We were so focused on the day one raid race.
I couldn't believe what the witness
said to us and Byte just
recently put out a video on it. He essentially
confirmed that he is not the winner
and this entire time everyone
was saying the witness is the winner
Traveler's the gardener, the witness
must be the winner
but he is not as confirmed from dialogue in the rape the witness himself says
i'm but the first knife of the winter yet it does not know the shape it wants to carve.

the things that the pieces that are moving right now
to set things up
is wild.

and it's satisfying my lore people out there which is huge because
it's a trickle-down effect even someone like me who's a casual or nerd i'm

I love the setup that's taking place right now

and the combination of that with The Traveler
and sending out those things,
those shorts, right? Those echoes.
And we have to tie up
those loose ends and
disregard where
we're going to go with the episodes because I definitely believe
at the end of the year, we're going to fix the dreadnought. We are
going to become the navigators, Bungie said, and
we're going to leave our solar system. I honestly
believe either next year or the year after
if there is going to be a Destiny 3
D3 will start in us, in another solar system.
We are leaving Sol.
And that is going to be holy hell.
That is going to be an adventure.
With that being said,
our ghost has sacrificed itself. and that was a huge moment because
Cade shows up and Cade essentially sacrifice himself and at, I was very upset about this
because we just got Cade back
and I couldn't believe
that Cade was about to
leave us again. But one
thing we recognized throughout the entire campaign, and
little dialogue pieces from Cade
and sometimes it's said in passing
was like if there was one thing
he wanted was to be reunited
with Sundance.
The the he wanted was to be reunited with Sundance. The
life without
Sundance, which was his ghost
was void
and meaningless
He also said that the afterlife itself was more and in it was
good I mean he actually missed that and then
right in when he sacrificed himself, his big thing was
he wanted to take control of his own fate.
And something that
the Ahamkara
wish didn't allow him to do
as it essentially joints him out of
the afterlife.
But he wanted to take things into his own hands
and by sacrificing himself
and giving us our ghosts back
that was how he got to be our hero.
It was a very touching moment, man.
It was really, really good.
I think
after looking back over the footage again like and
in re-watching that scene especially on vibe's channel it was great great. What is it wrong? Devotion, bravery, sacrifice. That's not true. The Ahkara wish allowed him to come back
to make a choice

Anyways... Narratively Bungie nailed this expansion. Not only did they nail the expansion narratively,
They also nailed the expansion and Day 1 raid. The day one raid.
The day one raid is a pivotal piece,
and they tied that in there enough
and they both nailed those exactly.
Somehow, someway, Bungie gave us
the hardest raid ever,
and I know the last Swish raid was
before that,
the hardest raid ever. But not only did Bungie
give us the hardest raid ever which narratively made
sense as a witness but it's
the hardest raid ever with the subclass kits
that we have now. We are way
stronger than we were back in Forsaken
substantially stronger and I would
argue say better players than we were
back then. Most of us
you know, back then we were back then. Most of us are,
you know, back then we were jumping back into the
you know, we had special weapons
and, you know,
weapons were moving out of our heavy slots
Things were still in the same subclass columns now that we have full-blown kits going
into this thing that the kids we brought into The Witness
I mean, we weren't going in there with shabby shit.
I mean,
It's the best of the best.
We had the best fucking weapons,
The best builds,
The best of everything.
And even despite having
The best of everything,
We still got shit on! Everybody! fine having the best of everything,
we still got shit on.
Everybody got shit on.
And I know a lot of people
don't like that. There's a lot of people who are like,
I didn't buy this expansion to not be able to experience the day one raid and here's the thing you
you most definitely can't experience a day when raid but whenever it's the witness
it needs to be difficult. Everything has led up
to this moment. If we would have rolled in there
and he would have been a pushover like Nessie,
they would have been a foul.
But Bungie juiced him.
Bungie juiced them. Bungie juiced them, and I'm glad they did
because it will be an experience that I know many of us
will remember forever.
Except for the cheaters, their experience was easy.
Yeah, but Bungie banned them. You could see like their reports online except for the cheaters their experience was easy you have a bungee band them
you could see like their reports you see like there were
ray completions of solo players but they're completions that have been removed anyways
that's narrative that's the set up there with the raid. All of that was 10 out
of 10. Now we're
in the second week and we're into
episodes, and we're seeing what episodes
are going to bring. Episodes still have
they still have to play out we don't
really know
you know what episode is going to be
like over a prolonged period of time
but um so far bunty has just given us
so many goodies right now
that I think
all of us are probably...
We're just like a kid on Christmas.
We have Prismatic.
We have a ton
in different weapons. A ton of different weapons.
A lot of different exotics, and now we have exotic class items
And everybody is going crazy over exotic class items
For good reason! They're damn good.
They're the most potent thing Bungie has ever given us.
You know...
I don't know what future raid bosses we may have,
but we're gonna shit on that
raid boss with these exotic class items. I mean, we are literally... We're gonna fuck them up. If Oryx actually ends up getting revived in some way on the Dreadnaughts,
we are going to shit on Orcs.
We are so powerful right now. But here's
the thing. I do believe that if
at any point in the future Bundy gives us
another raid,
they most definitely can give us a rate that will challenge us with those builds because they've already given us a raid we didn't have
exotic class items last week but we had prismatic we had all the kits necessary
to take down any other ray boss and yet the witness still whooped our
ass so i definitely believe whatever ray they give us in the future could challenge us on every level
to me guys this expansion has been the expansion
we've all been waiting for for a decade.
The expansion that we knew Bungie could
put out and unfortunately
it took the low
of Lightfall.
You know, Light bulb brought a lot of great things especially quality of life things but it took the low of Lightfall to really just shake bungeeie and say, hey, we need to over deliver.
We need to really cook right now.
And I don't know...
Maybe Bungie does know this.
But in my opinion,
This just saved Bungie
and it's not like they weren't
making money before
Lightfall was still a very good selling expansion
but it's not just about that. Our faith in Bungie
has been saved, you know all the way up until the launch of the final shape i think everyone was down
i think everyone was like dude there's no way they're gonna pull this off
um and they put it off they put it off
they put it off
... No, I was never down.
You fuckers are lying man.
You're telling me y'all didn't have doubts going into the final shape?
None of you.
Get the fuck out of here.
We were literally in the Vidoc last year and everybody was like, yeah, this looks like shit.
I had major
doubts.
Let me also say this, though.
Let me also say this in Bungie.
This is a point that needs to be emphasized right now.
Okay? emphasized right now the final shape yes it's arguably the best expansion bungee has ever put out is definitely the highest reviewed one. And it should go down
as Bungie's best work.
However,
the stuff that led up to
The Final Shape,
that right there needs to get the credit with
the final shape. Even though it's not a part of that
expansion, those teams that worked
on that stuff leading up into the final
shape
I think it actually started with Guardian Games. Maybe even
just Season of the Wish, I actually felt that Season of the Wish was really good
I feel like whoever worked on Warlords Ruin killed it
That was a fantastic dungeon and it kept me entertained for
a long time i still love that dungeon but then starting at guardian games from
guardian games into into the lines
into pantheon.
The ramp up here,
everything just kept one
upping each other. It was almost as if we were
taking stairs.
We were stair-stepping our way
to peak, which would be
the final shape. But we could
not have gotten to the final shape if
we did not have things like Interlight,
especially in Pantheon that team even though their
names may not be on the final shape itself they deserve so much credit
because that that content carried us And it was good content,
it was genuinely good content.
And so I hope Bungie looks at this
and sees like hey,
this is the playbook.
Like this is the playbook at any going forward we have a road map to success
and this is it the past six months have been in we need to follow that
next the next annual
expansion, whether it's
another annual expansion in D2
or a D3
That roadmap needs to be followed
Oh yeah and the PvP maps too. The layoffs still sting though.

one thing that warms my heart
is
DMG
returning
which he wasn't
laid off, I know, but
he's returning and
he's going to be

that content for D2,
we actually thought that there was going to be
mass layoffs and suddenly
the teams were going to be split. Everyone was just
going to migrate to marathon and listen that may have happened

came out and it had been another light fall, 2.0. Dude,
that may have definitely happened.
Teams could have been consolidated into Marathon
and other projects, and Destiny would have had
a bare-bones Skeleton team to keep
it up, and that could have been it.

of the final ship... I'm sure
this is something that's been in discussion for a while
now though from DMG.
But because of that success
you're going to see more doubling down on Destiny.

Bungie needs to do.
You've got the formula for making a fantastic
expansion. Follow that. Everything
that you did from the hype, the lead up
things you did leading up into it and by the way let me also
mention if it requires expansions to be
a year and a half away i am okay with
that like that is completely fine munchie you don't have to do an annual expansion every
every year even you don't have to do it every year and you can you can either do
it every other year or you could do it every year and a half. That's completely okay.
If that extra time
is what really did it, which I
do think it is, that's why they took that time,
then do that every time. You don't
have to keep doing this every 12 months
it's way better yes you may not get the revenue you want for that year but man your expansion is
going to pop and that's going to pay dividends.
Now Salvation's Edge,
the new raid introduced in the final shape
has also garnered high praise from fans
with some calling it
the best Raid Mondays ever created for Destiny 2
as intricate mechanics
and challenging gameplay
made it the longest day One raid in Destiny history,
further solidifying its exceptional
reputation among the player community.
In other news, Bungie has officially teased
the next DLC for Destiny 2 in 2025
which is codename Frontiers.

from the codename, but Bungie has confirmed that

which we've already put out a quest on. It is, of course, dropping from the mission to Destiny
that a lot of people have been running
but also a ton of people have just been going inside
at the Bellhart to loot chests
because there's a chance that this exotic class
item will drop from the chest however there is a way to get double drops and
the way to get double drops into destiny actually, actually, funny enough,
kind of ties into the
name itself. You want to go in with
the same class though. You want to do the mission
like normal, going with the
same class and when you get to the end,
you kill the bosses,
you get all the way
into the class item
and you get to the point
where you have to either
make peace or make war.
In that moment,
you want to make peace.
Then you want to go peace. Then, you want to go claim
your exotic class item from the podium
but you wanna claim
the exotic class item
from the same site so we would
chose left side You claimed the exotic class item from the left side and
we felt that was the better sign and then right after that you want to eager edge sword away until
you get to the end of the room.
And it was actually,
if you come into the room
and you go directly left,
there's a little ledge there.
We found that to be the best spot
that may even be better spots.
But get to that ledge
and try to get to that ledge together
at the same exact time. And you're going to get a joining allies
prompt it will count down it'll go black and then we'll teleport you back into the
middle of the room and what we'll actually allow you to do is reclaim or claim
the right side,
the other exotic class item.
Therefore in your 30 minute run
to 35 minute run
of dual destiny
you can walk away with double 35 minute run of dual destiny.
You can walk away with double exotic
class items, which means double opportunities
to get that god roll that you want.
This is by far the best form in the game, guys.
Yes, you can continue looting chests if you want as a
solo player but this right here
is truly the best way to get
class items back-to-back.

to save for myself which meant
I didn't cover this until I saw it
myself in the raid and my own spoiler embargo
had elapsed. A line that confirms everything that some of us
lore scholars have suspected for a long, long time. Take a listen. listen Look beyond this dying garden.

This line, this one line of dialogue has confirmed to us the scale of the universe before us, and
has done more to confirm almost a decade's worth of lore speculation than anything else
in the game or its lore.
The Witness puts it bluntly here
In what it thinks is
its moment approaching victory
It tells us that it is
not the Winnower
Equally, in the sentence where the witness states that gods forged us both,
it seems to state that the winnower does in fact exist and that it as its first knife
is the result of the winnower's
creation. To put
that into context for those who don't
understand the significance of this,
and to muddle a few metaphors quite greatly,
this is the equivalent of us learning
that God and the devil are real,
and that right now we have been fighting nothing more
than one of the Devil's underlings
that has gone rogue.
And that...
That's fucking wild!
...has been in the background of our story this whole time.
Momentarily, I want to cut here and just say
that later on in the video
we're going to talk about some more lore implications
for the Winnower's existence,
and questions that inevitably get answered later on.
But for the moment here and now...
I think I need to get everyone on the same page.
So with the benefit of a little hindsight and with the understanding
of unveiling better displayed to us let's talk about what the Winnower is. To put it
simply, the Winnower is one of two godlike figures that, if we're to believe them, were one
of the true progenitors of all things in the Destiny universe as we know them. Alongside
the Gardener, the Winnower was a force at the beginning of the universe or
before the beginning of the universe that defined the shape of all things that followed.
This is based on the unveiling texts but those texts are no less important even though it's clear that some
of their context is metaphorical. I'm going to need to break down a lot of lore
to create a more concrete timeline of the exact events at
the beginning of the universe, there
is one event that we know
must have been true. And that's that
the Gardener and the Winnower fought
within the garden at the beginning of time supposedly they
quote brought down the tree of silver
wings and left its stump to smoke amid
the meadows something we know that must have happened
because at this point, we've seen it
It's there in Garden of Salvation
at the heart of the raid
We rise to meet that distant mesa
and it turns out that it isn't a mesa at all.
It's a stump.

The remains
of a tree, its roots still gnarled and burned out.
It might not necessarily be the same tree in the metaphor
it might not necessarily mean that the metaphor of the story of unveiling is all true
but we do know something brought down this tree of silver
wings. And at current,
the gardener and the winnower are our key
suspects. This occurred
because of a fundamental philosophical disagreement, according to the winnower.
All the way back when they were playing something known as The Flower Game
A series of possibilities that played out
in front of them in repeated
patterns that always reached
the same shape.
The gardener desired an additional rule
that allowed for complexity to exist in this flower game, and
for life to exist beyond the persistent final shape that occurred within the universe that
always triumphed. A shape that always followed the same pattern needed to no longer be
the only victor in the gardener's eyes, there needed to
be something more complex that could grow. Please do note this final shape
that I make reference to within the flower game is NOT
the same as the final shape as The Witness perceived of it.
This is the final shape in more of a manner as the Hive know it – a universe where only
the strongest life survives.
From that disagreement
the winnower looked down
and supposedly
the first knife had appeared
in his hands.
This is a crucial moment within the law as it contextualizes the rise of the witness and gives us an idea of what
the winner was response to the gardener might have been
and it also gives us an opening moment,
I believe, for the
entire Light and Dark saga.
So let's go ahead
and read from Unveiling, and read
the allegory of the First Kn knife from The First Knife Law Entry. It reads as follows.

And the laws of the game became gnomic, and open to change by our influence.
I had only one purpose and one principle in the game
and i could do nothing but continue
to enact that purpose because
it was all that I was
and ever would be.
I looked at the
gardener. I looked at my hands...
...I discovered
The First Knife
Yeah! Oh my God!
When the witness calls itself
The First Knife, it is referencing Unveiling here for certain.
But I think we can map this moment onto history – namely, the history of the Precursors
– and use it to get even greater context on the creation of this terrible being
of power that we would one day come to know as The Witness. We can also
use it to get more context on the actions of the winnower, I feel.
I do want to say that what i'm putting forward here is purely theoretical
because I'm trying to transcribe analogy and myth into real chronology with sound events,
so don't take what I'm about to say as absolutely true. This is just my thoughts and interpretations
with that said
I think
That the moment where the gardener and the winnower became a part of the game
It's the same moment where they appeared within
the universe and created great structures for themselves.
I think this might have been the moment when the Gardener and the Winnower created The
Veil and the Traveler. Following this moment, the Gardener or rather
the Traveller was discovered by the Precursor civilization and the Traveller gave them
the abundance that we've come to know from it. But the Precursor people sought purpose
amongst their plenty, purpose that The Traveler wasn't willing to give and so they searched
the universe for it and eventually found the Veil. Linked cosmically to the signal of The
Traveler. Two of a similar family. If the winnower was within the veil or was in control
of it or somehow linked to it
then it was likely the force that led the Prakasa people
to the original principle of combining the light and darkness
by bringing The Veil and The Traveler together.
The Winnower would then been in the perfect place
to create change within
the Precursors after the Traveler
left, and to create
the conditions for their change
into The Witness.
The Precursors and The Witness by itself for their change into the witness.
The precursors and the witness by extension
were his first knife
they knew who created
them, and the witness
well, it didn't care because their purpose And the witness, well...
It didn't care. Because their purpose was made clear from the moment onwards
They knew that they would find their own way and enforce the final shape as they saw it
Hence why they state that the winnower cannot control how
the first knife carves. So with that in mind perhaps there is much more context to
the beginning of the story of destiny now, and that context has been lended
to us by the slow and steady
motions of the Gardener and Winnower
across this great game that they
play. We also
have a little further reinforcing lore on
this topic, which I just
have to share with you all. It comes from
a ship that you get from the Paleheart
destination and that ship
what do ya know is called the First Knife.
It details a conversation and discussion between Marusov
and Ikora Ray. This discussion contemplates the role of The Witness
and whether it is linked to something else further out.
I think it's worth remembering that when Bungie does this, sometimes it is a red herring,
and sometimes it alludes to something more in the story. Keep both possibilities in mind
and let's see what they have to say

I heard it proclaim to me
We are the First Knife.
Mara's words are as thin as her hopes

a power, a knife that winnows cutting things into a defined shape.

Her emphasis on the last word makes her point, and Mara picks up on it.

fantasy told to us by the

cosmic force, but
perhaps that's a shadow cast by the truth.

This idea has tempered Ikora's
earlier anxieties over the future.
This conversation has tempered her own after all, even though
her brother feels distant and faint in the moment he is out of her mind.
A knife as a tool wielded by another's hand mara offers if the witness is the knife
as it asserts and what wields it ikora asks the, though it does not reply.
The words are meant for Mara's ears too.
The witness is
not a being, she agrees.
It is the combination of oblique
ethos wheeled into existence by the nihilistic desires of
its creators.
Is their will the hand on the knife, or something else?
Ikora's fingers slip from the corners of Revelation, and her thoughts plummet into more intimate worries and doubts.
Mara sees her fall, and lets herself tumble into the same precipice,
joining her in worry.

Now check this new Sword archetype. The Destiny 2 dev team
has been busy the past few months finding
ways to entertain you and surprise you.
The final ship includes several incredible additions in the sandbox
but today we want to focus on one that
you may not have noticed yet. The new Waveframe Sword
archetype. Yeah guys,

wayframe and then immediately launch right afterwards it's really really cool
it doesn't necessarily do a lot of damage or at least i had to change i got a chain reaction roll

new subfamily sorts allows
places in a shockwave

The first waveframe sword is among the rewards
of the new Salvation's Edge raid, but
if you're lucky, you might also get an Ergo Sum exotic sword that rolls with this new archetype. And yes it can roll with that as well. I really like the blending here guys. Some of Bungie's doing is they're decoupling what would be your, what you previously thought
was locked to a certain
web of time
and then dragging those
archetypes
and putting it
in other things
and they're being
super creative about it
which is really nice.

Season 20 through season 23
Weapon Crafting. We are aware of an issue where players who completed crafting patterns from
season 20 through 23 while they were available to why they are available are no longer able
to craft these weapons this is not intentional and will be resolved in a future update
interesting now salvation's edge bungee rewards so unlock the ability to purchase salvations
edge raid jacket andy cadet sling bag by chrome industries through bungee rewards players will need to
complete this salvation edge raid and claim the associated triumph prior to june 25th
now other known issues players completed who completed the Transmigration mission

an implement to do the bidding of one who holds it.
And so that makes me wonder further.
Why would the winnower create The Witness, especially after The Witness brought about
a risk to the whole of existence as we know it.
As far as I can see, there is only one answer to this question. Again, it's theoretical
so don't take it as truth or treat it dogmatically, but just think
of it as one possible answer to this
question. The only one that I can see
at the moment. I think the winnower
was trying to introduce darkness into
the heart of the traveller And I think in this moment,
if this was the goal of the winnower,
by introducing the witness
into the pale heart, it
succeeded. This might have been
the play that the winnower has been trying to enact for a long time. It did. of accomplishing its own goals yours also succeed bringing darkness into the heart of the traveler
and enacting its version of the final shape was something we inevitably would rise to stop
but the interface of light and dark within the traveer is now the result of The Witness's meddling,
And it is also the result of us entering within its pale heart as well.
We might have furthered the goal of The Witness
And its designs in this long, long game of existence.
But what happens?
Why was this done?
What was the ultimate goal?
Was it to change the perspective of the gardener?
Was it to change the power of the light? Was it to change the power of the light
was it to change the traveler was it to release
the echoes was it something that we still haven't
seen i don't know
the questions that evolve from this point will be myriad, and will merit constant revision
and discussion but for the moment I think I can tell you this
definitively
the winoer isn't a myth anymore.
It exists as concrete and confirmable as The Witness was.
It was the force that led to the creation of The Witness – its first knife. The flower
game marches on
and the next moves made
in that game will be
like waves battling against
the shore. Finally before we end this video
I wanted to discuss a few blunt questions
that people might have and to give you
my takes on them.
First of all, can we kill
the Winnower? Maybe.
This is an entity of immense cosmic power, and it would be no small feat
but if The Traveler can be wounded
then perhaps something similar is possible
to the winnower through the means of
the veil. That's very speculative
though. Should we
kill the winnower is the next question
because I say Maybe not.
If a single hypothesis of the universe, light
and dark, and how all things have
existed prevails now
it seems to be that of Ulan Tan
who states that the light and dark must exist
together. And if they don't exist
together then well
truly there is damnation for
all of the universe. If the
Winnower and Gardener have existed since before the dawn of time, killing one
of them might fundamentally upend the universe as we know it.
And so maybe we need to understand more about this new potential foe before we engage
it in combat, and before
we seek to remake the universe
without it in the picture.
And lastly, will
we see the Winnower in future storylines?
And to this I have to say undoubtedly...
Yes.
Unlike the gardener who is willing to stay silent and allow us
To make our own complex fates. Make our own
purposes, and give us the gifts needed
to accomplish them along the way.
The winnower has one purpose.
The sword logic.
That majestic shape of victory realized by the Hive
Simple idea that
only the strongest thing in the universe will
survive. It has no reason
to be passive in this universe
it may start to see its own plans unfold. If it is to
be passive then it is to watch things continue to fulfill that purpose of
dying until the universe gutters out to one thing,
one perfect, majestic
final shape.
But I believe that there will be some
who are indeed reached out to by this great being.
After all, they believe it's reached out to others before this Hmm. the witness that spoke to Oryx in the Books of Sorrow.
When Oryx created and sacrificed
an unbound ogre
within the depths of his own throne world,
when he walked into the deep
with the tablets of ruin,
and when the deep itself arrived. I believe
that was the winnower,
not the witness.
If the winnower does reach out and speak to
us, I expect that it is intervening
to accomplish its direct purpose.
That appears to be
its goal after all,
a goal that it has been
trying to fulfill
since its existence began.
If it decides to act soon, or even
now... It will change the
Mylo's rewards credit card

I don't know this to be true but I've heard whispers that
The Winnower is prominently mentioned or maybe even is the perspective speaking within the raid lore.
Having only unlocked one book myself, I can say that that's not universally true.
The first book of the lorebook comes from
the Witness, that much I know. That being said... more needs to be discovered and I
need to discover all of that for myself. My first impressions of the Salvation's Edge raid will be coming at some
point soon, but I still need to get a team together to actually complete it. This however was too
juicy not to initially talk about and people have been asking for this for a very
long time so I figured I'd get right to it and make sure we covered this.
